This place is a slum, by all definitions of the word. Only in California can I see a place exist in this manner & not be shut down. Every kind of crime you can think of is going on in the rear lot of this property, weed smoke in the air every night, shady behavior throughout the property (ie people loitering in the lot, sleeping in their cars, sitting in their cars for no apparent reason, looking around frantically/likely for concern of a law enforcement presence) - all of this and NO SECURITY IN SIGHT!!! Not once did I observe police or security even patrol through the lot, and this place more than anywhere needs it!! Either the owners are too cheap to pay for it or the security company is negligent in patrolling the property (likely the first option), but this place is horrendous, fortunate to have completed a nearly two-week stay at this place without incident. It also appears that this property accommodates long-term stays, which almost guarantees an unpleasant element being present. No to mention, the parking lot crowds up after the evening/becomes scarce, and for my last three days there were two piles of either human and/or dog sh*t on the sidwalk, untouched (well, minus the footprint in one of the piles from some unfortunate soul who wasn't watching his/her step) by maintenance. I have nothing but condemnation for this place and strongly advise those seeking lodging accommodations to SEEK LODGING ELSEWHERE, the low price isn't worth it!!

Despite having our vehicle broken into and a tank of gas siphoned, most of the staff were helpful and friendly. The manager Chris was fantastic.

Monica was rude and unprofessional from the start, My rooms heater did not work, the hot water in the shower was luke warm NOT hot, the deadbolt didnt engage and the toilet clogged. I checked in late 10pm was sick and tired monica suggested I move rooms which i did not want to do as again I was sick (cold/flu) and tired. I asked for extra blankets to be brought down and a discount for the reasons above and monica refused to bring blankets to my room, and again I had to go out in the COLD, sick!

I noticed their cleaning is thorough, Peoples hair strands in the bathroom… lingerie hanging behind the ironing board, Red stains on the shower curtain, I told the front desk, she replied “ Yeah sorry about that I’ve been getting on the cleaners to do a better job. I stay due to affordability but as far as recommending this place to close friends of mind, I wouldn’t due to my poor experiences. Stayed here over 30 times. Same issue over and over. Would like a refund but don’t know if that’s possible. Always disappointed.

Very uncomfortable bed. I had to switch rooms because the furniture in the room was dirty. The window was unsafe. The replacement room had bugs (roaches) and also broken screens on the window.

Check in was at 3pm. We got there at 5:30 and our room was not ready. Was not greeted when I walked in as the receptionist was having printer issues with helping the guest at the check in counter. The room looked as if it was cleaned in a rush as there was stuff on the floor still. The tub in the bathroom didn’t look very clean. The bed was very hard also which resulted in no one getting good sleep.

rooms r clean food good ,just no place to sit and eat ,property was pretty gross. cigarette butts everywhere, staff good i aiso booked this hotel because it has a hottub,but it was broken and they didn't say anything about it and the swimming pool had a broken lock so children could get in the gate by themself

Was me and my two young kids the outside was nothing like pictured online so just a little disappointing but got to room and sheets were not clean the pool was gross and the whole thing was just to much we left 7 hours in to our stay to be at a safer and cleaner environment very disappointed and wouldn’t suggest to anyone

The shower head hardly worked. The bed was not comfortable, it was really noisy and it had a metal bar at the bottom that would hurt you every time you’d get off the bed.

I liked everything besides I have to be at work at seven. Breakfast doesn’t start till seven and my other complaint is there were some people staying back by me that were thumping their music for hours at a time at crazy late hours.

The hotel is nice and clean. The bed is comfortable to sleep on. Everything went well. However, when we check in the front desk should explain when it is breakfast, check out time, time cut off for return deposit etc. We have to overheard from the another front desk to tell her clients. If not we would not know about the information.

I have stayed here before (the price is excellent) and have enjoyed the experience. I figured Surestay on Canterbury was my go-to place for trips to Sac. However, on this trip, the room I was given was on the "back side" of the hotel off a narrow difficult-to-park-in section of lot that was filled with stinky food trash, the smell of marijuana smoke, and people sitting in their cars playing loud rap music. I unloaded my car into the room and took it out to the front parking lot in front of the office so that it did not get broken into or dinged, as the back parking area had too-small spaces and people were not being careful in how their parked their cars. The room I was given (262) was clean and the bed comfortable, but the AC unit had a cut wire so that the temp sensor did not work and the room got so cold that I had to turn the AC off and then it got too hot. The bathroom door had been hit with someone's fist that had gone right through, making a big hole. It needs to be replaced. Also, the Indian restaurant that had operated on the premises had closed, so that was a big bummer.

The smell of cannabis infiltrated the room at night. The tv didn't function and i was not offered a solution after notifying property. I transferred to another room the 2nd night and that room has an a/c that doesn't work.

Convenient location, only a short drive or light rail train ride to Downtown Sacramento. Friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, & pleasant environment! The only relatively minor downside is that the room could use a little TLC (paint refresh on the walls, new baseboards).

Did not feel safe at the hotel or in our room we put the ironing board between the dresser and the front door. People that were staying there looked like they did drugs. Also got the feeling that people rented rooms for sex work

When booking this place, I thought by the pictures, it could be a nice day upon arriving to the room. I noticed a lot of stains on every single surface from the phone the door handle the bathroom and the toilet as well. It was as if somebody just came by sprayed with the bottle, and left the stains there and didn’t even try to wipe upon getting ready to lay down pulling back the sheets. I was in disbelief to see a big red and yellow stain in the middle of the entire bed everywhere spots and splatters also looked as if mold was starting to grow from possibly being left on the bed for so long Hair, it was almost as if nobody cared to even clean the room, and I can understand being shortstaffed over work, but to get ready to almost lay in a bed could possibly passed on an infection or a disease is so scary. I will never be back to this hotel and this experience for me was terrible even though I was able to go into another room room still on the pillows they’re just not being cleaned properly and I don’t think it’s safe for anyone to go and sleep in there and this establishment should definitely be shut down because it may be a health hazard.

I left items in our hotel room and I called them and let them kwnow while their manager was there she said she was going to find out took my phone number and never called me back I waited until 2 30 and went back up there sat about 45 minutes for them to tell me the manager had already left for the day and they couldn't find my stuff and I will need to call back in the morning would not allow me to look in the lost and found I am from out of town I know my stuff was in that room why the dishonesty

Trying to find a parking some guy approaches my vehicle tells me that he wanted my tires then after that some other crazy person started making sexual comments towards me. Just not a good environment not safe for children not safe for women. A lot of homeless around the place save ur money go somewhere else. I paid the same price. and got a better room safer environment down at comfort Inn and suites On jibboom Street so much better save your money. Don’t go to this hotel at all.

My sister and I stayed on a weekend, Friday through Sunday. We were on the freeway side, but there was not much traffic noise. Half a block up starts a very quiet and nice neighborhood. Close to Cal expo and downtown. Lots of dining and shopping options nearby. Complimentary breakfast was decent as well. Scrambled eggs, sausage, waffles, oatmeal, yogurt, juices and coffee are all your options. There’s also an area to purchase other snacks at the front desk.
