The best location ever!! Staff superrr friendly!!

The front desk is friendly. The room is comfortable. The included breakfast is delicious. The location is convenient to major tourist sites. The price is affordable. We are glad we chose this hotel for our first time Spain trip. We are looking forward to come back again.

We enjoyed our stay, as the hotel is within the Plaza del Sol, Plaza Mayor area. It’s bustling with activities! There’s plenty of bistros around. The only downside is the taxi transport — drops you off on the side streets and you have to lug your luggage (not convenient) vice-versa on your way back to the airport. But if you’re taking the metro, easy-peasy!

The hotel was in a great location for getting to restaurants and tours. The room was very lean, but very small. The staff (house-cleaning and front desk) were very good. The breakfast was significantly overpriced for what was offered, and it was not that good compared to the other 5 hotels we stayed at while visiting Spain. I would not recommend the breakfast as you can find better options near the hotel.

The hotel has a great location and lots of restaurants and shopping nearby in walking distance.
I was lucky be my room did not face the square because when I arrived there was a celebration going on. The room was very nice and I enjoyed the breakfast every morning.

Convenient location for Metro and central city tourist sites such as Royal Palace and the Cathedral de la Almudena. Just adjacent to the busy and lively Plaza Sol. Lots of shopping and restaurants all around. Simply furnished hotel room. Nice on property restaurant with popular outdoor seating for viewing the street and plaza action.

Great service. Friendly staff. Super clean rooms. We got a room with the view of the plaza. It was definitely worth the extra money. Everything about the hotel was perfect. And the location can’t be beat!

The shower design is poor and water constantly covering bathroom floor

Excellent location with views of Puerta del Sol and practically you can walk anywhere in Downtown Madrid. The rooms are perfect for the price and the staff incredibly serviceable! Great hotel!

We had a good stay with our two teens. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
Hotel is right in the city centre. Everything is walking distance. Perfect location for a short trip. Can be bit noisy at night until late morning. They have got double glazed windows to block the sound. If you are a light sleeper then skip this place.
Only thing is the condition of the hotel is bit outdated. Although we had a newly built room the bathroom was very dark and dingy. Family room is quite big.
Definitely recommend for the location it is situated.

A very good value hotel in a very central location. Well furnished and lovely bathroom with travertine tiles. The noise from the street below might be bothersome to some people but it wasn't an issue for me. Good breakfast selection.

Great service, they bring your suitcases up to the room, call a cab who was waiting on time.

Everything is extremely close by. Parking could be a little bit of a hassle but if you’re ok with walking a few blocks with your luggage it is totally worth it. Best for people that like to be in the middle of everything. Area around hotel appears not to sleep.

Its an excellent choice… no doubt

Hotel Europa in Madrid is ideally situated in the heart of the Centro, making it a prime spot for exploring the city. Its location is a major highlight, with numerous attractions, shops, and dining options within easy walking distance. This convenience makes it an excellent choice for tourists eager to immerse themselves in Madrid's vibrant culture.
However, the bustling location comes with a downside. The area around the hotel is extremely busy, especially on weekends. During my stay, the noise from concerts and the throngs of people in the nearby plaza persisted well into the early morning hours, making it challenging to get a good night's sleep.
Additionally, the Europa Cafe on the first floor and the outdoor seating area add to the constant noise level. Throughout the day, the sound of people talking and socializing can be heard, which might be a disturbance for those seeking a quieter, more relaxing environment.
In summary, Hotel Europa is perfect for those who want to be in the center of the action and don't mind a bit of noise. The convenience of its location and the lively atmosphere are definite advantages, but light sleepers or those looking for a peaceful retreat might want to consider other options.

A short stay for a work meeting but the location was perfectly central to see the city for the overnight visit. Hotel staff were very nice and hugely helpful. Room was also perfect. I would definitely book again for a longer leisurely trip

Traveling on my own, my first trip to Madrid they could not have been more hospitable and helpful!!

Although we loved the location of the hotel, the bed was rather hard and our room was sorely lacking in AC. Daily we addressed the AC issue with the employees at the front desk, sometimes multiple times per day, claiming it was our error, and brought a fan as a solution for our penultimate night. It was only on our last night that they properly fixed it. Also, just a note that Plaza del Sol is quite loud until 2am should you choose one of the rooms that faces it.

We had a fabulous room with a balcony overlooking the square. We were only here one night but it was wonderful!
