It was okay. The room was nothing special and the person checking us in was not at all friendly.

Room was very nice and clean. Only downfall bed was not comfy or to what id expect to be. Great stay.

Nice place but very very old. Nice people but really not recommended

Rhe room was very comfortable and with some recent updates. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The weather was such that we used the heat and the air conditioning during our stay and was very hard to keep the room comfortable. We could here people walking upstairs most of the night. The bed was very firm. We would stay there again and bring our own box fan for noise and air flow. But definitely would stay there again.

We just stayed for a night to visit the state park. It was a good place to rest for the day. The room looked old, but clean. Breakfast a something I had some continental expectations , it was just a grab and go.

It was your basic roadside motel. It was clean. I thought the price was a little high. Overall, good enough just to spend one night.

Great water pressure and jet tin works well. Nice size King room, clean sheets but pillow cases need to be replaced. Door lock needs replace/update and add flip lock inside for more security.

When we arrived at our room, we found it to smell funny/musty, there were moisture absorbers behind the bed and nightstand, there was a spider in the bathroom over the mirror, the coffee pot had some kind of buildup in the bottom of it , the shower/tub was dirty and hadn't been scrubbed in some time, the air conditioning unit had big chunks of debris built up behind the discharge screen there were a lot of spiders on the overhang in front of all the rooms on the bottom floor. Just a positive note it was quite and convenient to the downtown area

This could be a beautiful property but definitely needs updates and needs cleaned. My room smelled musty. There was cobwebs in the room. The curtains were dirty and the bottom of the toilet was dirty. They came in and gave us towels one day out of the three days.We were there, so we had to use the same towels. The entire time we were there

the room was musty and moldy. the ac filter full of mold and the bathroom ceiling was full of mold. the outside entrance into the room was full of spider webs and bugs. horrible place.

Been going for years while @ WGI. Beds are comfortable & water pressure & staff are great.. As long as you go with the understanding it's a motel and not a hotel, you'll keep going back..

Where do I start. This place was dirty all over. starting with the black bath tub, dead bugs in the walls, smelled like wet, mold room. Coming in and out of room had to get down because all the spiders were covering the ceiling, walls and door. Dust all over the room. It triggered my son’s allergies so bad we had to leave that morning.

room smelled a little musty but the very congenial desk person provided Fabreeze and that made it OK

I booked a king bed and they did a bait and switch and made me take two queen beds. Price was adjusted. Annoying though.

The room smelled as musky & damp with bath towel washed too many times as the end of its use.
Staff is not friendly as he is being bothered when we checked in.

This hotel is outside of town of Watkins Glen. With a car it is not an issue. It is not walkable nearby. The breakfast is too primitive, there is no choice. Staffs are generally friendly.

Older motel needs work

Falls Motel was clean and the service very good. The employees were attentive to answering questions and at the office all the time. We found restaurants within a 10 minute drive as well as Watkins Glen State Park.

Not what we were expecting based on reviews. Very dirty. Bugs all over. Bad smell in room. Breakfast was very weak. Coffee like water. Staff is new and trying. Facility needs an overhaul.
6.0
The coffee maker was very old and difficult to use and we had to ask for days before we received it. All in all though we enjoyed our stay.

Plus: Nice size room, comfortable layout and appealing look, even had a kitchenette stocked with wine glasses, plates, and silverware. Bed was comfortable, and there were a nice fireplace and jacuzzi tub in our room.
Minus: When we arrived, there was someone’s hair on the edge of the bathtub and in the shower, and a previous guest’s popsicles were half-melted in the mini fridge, so we were really disappointed with the cleanliness. Also, the A/C unit was in the window, draped with the window curtain, and some bugs were getting in.

Older motel but clean and convenient and a good value. No bells or whistles but comfortable -- refrigerator, microwave and coffee pot available.

Price and locations were great. Room was half clean, found old pill, pair of socks, bottle cap and spiders in bathroom. Overall it was not terrible but definitely not pristine. I understand I did not stay at a 5 star hotel so you get what you get!

Good value for a stay near Watkins Glen.

Close to the Watkins Glen State Park and other attractions. Comfortable and clean other than the bed was a bit hard.
6.0
While the room size was ok, the lighting was too dim, the towels/washcloths were very thin, and the breakfast consisted of prepackaged muffins or danish, apples/bananas, and coffee.

Review: The Falls Motel, Watkins Glen State Park
I recently stayed at The Falls Motel in Watkins Glen State Park, and unfortunately, my experience was far from pleasant. Here are some key points from my stay:
Room Size and Capacity:
The room we were given was extremely small, especially for a party of four. Despite this, the hotel charged extra for the additional guests, which felt unjustified given the cramped quarters. The management should have simply stated that the room could not accommodate four people comfortably.
Cleanliness and Maintenance:
The state of the room was disappointing. There was black mold in the bathroom, which is a serious health concern. The carpet was old, stained, and dirty, adding to the overall unclean feeling of the space. Additionally, the room lacked basic amenities like a small table to place personal items, making it inconvenient for organizing our belongings.
Health and Comfort:
After the first night, I experienced terrible itching, which made me wonder if there were bed bugs present. This issue further compounded the discomfort and unease during our stay.
Overall, my stay at The Falls Motel was quite uncomfortable and did not meet basic standards of cleanliness and space. I hope the management takes these issues seriously and makes the necessary improvements to ensure future guests have a more pleasant experience.

The motel is 5 minutes drive from the Watkins Glen State Park, and 3 minutes drive from a Top grocery store. It is very clean, and we can see beautiful mountains from the window. The room is small but provides everything we need, including two queens beds, a small refrigerator and a small microwave, and a desk with a chair. The breakfast is not really a breakfast but more like coffee with muffins in plastic bags, but with the price it is understandable. There are lots of dinning options nearby. We bought breakfast sandwiches and fruits from the Tops grocery store, and it worked out perfectly. We sure will stay here again next time if we visit Watkins Glen.

This has been my go to hotel at Watkins Glen for years. It’s far from luxurious but it’s clean and the staff is wonderful.

It's a charming little place. Although breakfast was disappointing. (a packaged muffin, an apple & juice bottle) Some protein with all the carbs would make it a breakfast.

Two trash cans had stuff in them. Sink and tub had used bars of soap in them. Not too bad. But the smell was a real problem. We opened the windows for half an hour and cranked up the AC fan to get some air flowing. Did not help. And the bed/sheets reeked terribly as if they hadn't been washed in a very very long time. We left and requested a refund, which they denied. Don't care. Worth not staying here.

Property was walking distance to two waterfalls. Montour Falls is a nice town. It's a quick drive to Watkins Glen and Seneca lake. Affordable, basic motel includes a complimentary but limited continental breakfast. Cleaning staff very friendly and accommodating. Dining options and stores a short drive away. Room has a mini fridge and microwave.

Everything was okay. They made the rooms every day, which was nice. My room had a slow tub drain. I removed the stopper that allows you to stop water from draining, which helped. I am surprised that they did nothing to correct the issue. I left the stopper out, which was obvious to see. If they run the water, it fills up immediately.

Comfortable room, very clean. Very fair price.

Location is ok. Motel's lower level rooms are outdated! Need a serious refreshment!
Breakfast has a bare minimum!
Cleanliness to be improved!
We were mistaken by positive comments. High price for the quality! We will not return.
