The hotel is good, clean and comfortable. However it doesn’t have any designated parking and I found it difficult to find a parking space nearby. Luckily on a Sunday night parking was free until 0930 on the Monday morning

I never stayed in such a small place with the smelliest toilet/shower combination and bathroom door that barely opened and closed past the bed. We were allowed to check in early but reception lacked any friendliness or warmth. Location was next to our car rental and across the street from the train station which was exactly what we needed. I would consider other hotel options adjacent to this hotel in the future.

Perfect location for the station. Good wifi and helpful staff. Did not need parking and did not have breakfast. Did the job as described but it is a budget option, room has all essentials but no kettle or refrigerator. Fine for 1 or 2 nights but would not want to stay any longer .

Rooms very tired and in need of update. Blood on shower cubicle rim. Guy on check in was helpful. Hotel did the job for one night but wouldn’t go back

The room was fine basic but clean, the area wasn't great right next to the station and parking wasn't easy. If you want a quick night it's fine but if you are driving choose an out of town hotel

This place is right across from the train station so it was a necessary place to stay for 1 night . It was clean inside. Rooms are dated and the breakfast is not worth paying for. Not safe area so when you left you took all valuables but didn’t feel
Safe walking around with them. Lots of loud fights and police constantly in the area. So no would not stay there again. Would take a cab from somewhere else. I see why they lock their front doors in the evening. The area is so dirty. Drug deals and people peeing on the street. Yuck Staff were lovely and helpful tho.

Sammy the receptionist was brilliant and very helpful, enjoy a drink Sammy I left €5 with the other receptionist for you, great value and location on our motorcycle trip to Normandy beaches

Very basic hotel opposite the rail station. Lots of what looked like immigrants hanging around the cafe next door.
Not the safest environment

The front desk person was very friendly and informative. The room was small but we didn't need a big room either. Clean and cozy and quiet and snelled nice.

very noisy part of town, with fights going on outside between the locals on arrival, no parking (although street parking is very cheap) very no frills, there are much better options available nearby

Wonderful helpful man at reception. But I would invest a few more dollars to stay at the IBIS a few block’s away.
The area was overrun with migrant’s and homeless,I could barely enter the Ibis building, they were laying all over the entry way…I just had to assert myself to get into the hotel, which took some gut’s.
Nothing at all wrong with the hotel, service, cleanliness, price, but the area is aweful and it also appears that the French governement is housing numerous migrant’s in the hotel itself.
We didn’t dare leave the hotel once we got in it,and the area was overwhlemingly aweful.
Kudos to the man at reception. The area is totally unsafe though.

The staff at the property was so friendly and helpful. The woman who checked me in was very fast and efficient. The night man reminded where the internet code was. The day manager stored my bags while I toured the city. We talked about the area and the weather. The breakfast was very good and inexpensive. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay.

It was okay for what was needed on a short stay. Area is a little dodgy, but at the end of a day a bed and shower and somewhere to change, personally recommend the other Ibis near this one

Parking free on the street at night up to 10h00 in the morning or pay parking close to the hotel.

A perfect stop for a night after a long day of travel. Convenient, clise to the train station. Basic but all we needed

Fine for an overnighter. Convenient for the rail station. Friendly welcome. Room was functional as expected. Bed comfortable. Unpleasant smell from shower/toilet area.

Bedrooms are small for US customers, more like pods. But the beds are comfortable, bedrooms are clean and the price is right.

Hotel is in a fairly central location 9 mins from shops and the river. Hotel was basic but that is what the description said - we had a one night stay over an route to ferry - the area around the hotel appeared run down and there were some homeless / alcoholics just over the road - this would put me off saying again and not for children.

The receptionist was extremely helpful and kind!

Good place for an overnight stay if you need to get an early train. Regrettably we had neighbours that were up most of the night talking and arguing. Location of hotel is right across from the train station but also seemed to be in a “rougher” neighbourhood. Room was good size for 2 people for a short stay. Linen was clean. Mop however left clump of hairs on floor from previous people(s). Thankful floor was not carpet! Front staff were fast and nice.

Nothing spectacular, but perfectly close to the train station (basically across the street) and loads of food options. Close enough to the city centre. Nothing spectacular about the room, but good overall value for the price.

The hotel was not well lit on the ground floor. There were no hand towels and the bath towels were very thin, There were no room amenities like coffee or tea. However, it was across the street from the Gare.

Mostly this was perfect for what we needed--to lay down and sleep, get up early and catch a train. However, after travelling all day from London, England all I wanted was a hot shower and there was no hot water. Additionally, I suspect there may be bed bugs and I showed up with bites the next day. However, this is not uncommon for even 5 star hotels and it did appear quite clean, if nothing else. These room are VERY bare bones but if all you need is a place to lay your head for the night that is comfortable and the door locks, this is the place. Oh, and we couldn't figure out how to work the television.

We were offered 2.5 euros per person, per day. higher than that would not be worth it. Room is clean, but small. Dining area is clean. Breakfast includes croissants, chocolate pastries, ham, turkey meats, different flavors of yogurt, coffee, expresso, cappuccino, french bread and apple. It will be nice to have other fruits other than apple. The hotel is very close to bus stop, tram stop to city, and train, very convenient

My stay at the Ibis in Caen was very pleasant, everything worked efficiently. It was quiet and clean. I was particularly impressed with the daily cleaning if my room including on Sunday. The location of the hotel across from the train station and shopping centre was especially convenient for my purposes.

Perfect location for travelling with train to Caen. Close to car-rental for exploring the landing beaches. Friendly start.

I did not realize it did not have air conditioning and the window did not open. Will not make that mistake again.

would like to have coffee/tea maker in room. Shower way too small, wetting entire bathroom and beyond

The location while central was poor. It was very close to the train station, but offered no parking. The area of town is not desirable.
