Nice Hotel & nice staff

The check in took more then 40 minute, The counter lady was playing with phone in the meantime. Very unpleasant check in I ever had ! But the other employees are very friendly and helpful , especially thanks Chris and Roy .

Conrad Xiamen provides awesome view of the ocean & the city and is conveniently located in vicinity of major tourist attractions (i.e. Xiamen U and a local temple are within walking distance). However despite its big price tag, many of its offerings may come as sheer disappointment if you are accustomed to what a global hotel chain franchise would ordinarily provide. For instance the rooms provide very poor sound proof (I stayed up all night listening to locals yelling and banging on their doors on my last night), room services are only provided via WeChat (a local messaging app) with limited menu choices (mostly local food), limited breakfast menu choices (again... mostly local food), no free wifi, and mediocre amenities. The staffs are nice, but are less seasoned in terms of making the guests feel welcomed and improvising. Moreover please note that most taxis will be reluctant to take you to the hotel due heavy traffic caused by poor road infrastructure of the area.

Relaxed weekend in Xiamen. Hotel is new and modern, service is great with highly trained staff. Hotel lobby is at 38th floor. Apart from that slight inconvinience, the room is big with nice bathroom, sitting area and walk-in robe. View is great, except for the fog at the weekend. Hotel has a shopping mall at the bottom and is near restaurants and bus stops. Breakfasts are great. Will definitely stay here again next time in Xiamen. Wifi was not that fast though.

Amazing views from room and lobby, and next to shopping mall for more food options. Spacious room with nice sitting area overlooking Gulangyu. Nice spread at breakfast with local and western options.

Exceptional service right from checking in till checkout during our stay on 14 and 15 Jan., and special thanks to the customer service managers on the 38th floor and Alice on the 1st Floor. They really went the extra mile to make our Xiamen stay an ejoyable one. Will recommend this place also for the modern and comfortable room and good location.

Food is yumminicious in Lucheng restaurant by famois chef Yip on 39th floor and fabulous entertainment with live music by Filipino band in Coast bar on 54th floor, well managed by Mark and his friendly team. I had a wondeful 63rd birthday celebration in Conrad Xiamen, thanks to all staff that made it enjoyable and memorable!🙏😋

The staff are always helpful and eager to please. The only hotel I would ever stay at in Xiamen.

Awesome room, view and an amazing swimming pool. Don’t know so much about Xiamen but my research indicated this hotel was the best for a night’s stay and I was very pleased with everything.

Tallest new and modern hotel in Xiamen with spacious room and quality amenities; Best panoramic view of Xiamen; impressive lobby and beautiful indoor swimming pool on high floors.

It is a very good experience with this hotel.

Huge room and bathroom. Love the coffee machine in the room, I can enjoy my proper coffee when I wake up. The only thing I dont like is the check point in the front of lifts lobby. Whats the point of that since you must use your room key card to access your floor and only.

I dragged my two little one and my tired body to this hotel after a long day at work and a flight. With so much high expectations to have a wonderful weekend away.At check in, I was informed that my reservation only comes with 1 breakfast because there is only 1 adult, but my kids will have to pay 2 children breakfast. I explained my booking through Hotel.com did not indicate that it is only 1 breakfast, and that I am willing to pay for the extra child but I should have 2 breakfast which I will share with 1 of my son. Then I was told that the hotel does not care who I booked with and what I can see through that platform, they only cares about the reservation sent to them. Fair enough, after wasting more time trying to dig out the physical reservation the hotel received, I was told, sorry because I didnt put down 2 adults and 2 children, I can only get 1 breakfast. I failed to understand her logic and demanded to have 2 breakfasts, and was informed that she will ask her manager to come and deal with me! What an insult! I felt like I was begging to have a room in this hotel, and to be approved by this front desk girl. Not to mention all other ridiculous things:- was told breakfast is from 6:30-7:30am!!!- room not ready for checkin beyond 4pm (my friends experience)- room smells like paint- wifi is NOT freeA beautifully designed hotel without proper service. Not putting customers at heart at all!

Everything was wonderful except the hotel coffee. The staff are very helpful and friendly and the hotel is very clean

The room and swimming pool are out of this world. The staff was a bit young and slightly inexperienced, but they were great too. Overall I would fly to Xiamen just to stay in this hotel again. Also came conveniently located to a shopping mall and some cheap eats. I recommend you rent a bicycle to get around town.
