We stayed early September, the hotel position is excellent and if it were revamped would be something else ,but!!! If your claustrophobic it’s a big no as the room was tiny and the balcony was the same you couldn’t put your legs in front of you if sitting on the chair , both chairs we had collapsed to the floor with us on them , funny if it’s not you i suppose 😬 they were replaced a day later with new. The bath had a big hole in it with a great big lump of filler splodged in and not even smoothed out just left high and ruff . If you have any mobility issues or just don’t like a lot of steps up to your room this isn’t for you. Quite easy to hear nearly every noise from every surrounding room. Shower gets hot only when it wants to and if it doesn’t want to it don’t 🙇‍♂️. The building was unmanned a lot so if you needed anything it was if you were lucky to bump into the cleaners ( who were very nice ladies and helpful ) the rooms were cleaned and new towels provided, but there’s an old saying “ you can’t polish a turd” spend money on the building and it would be an amazing little hotel .

Great value for money & accommodating host. Superb location next to the old town. Unfortunately some of the other hotel guests were very loud which disturbed our sleep. The hotel was clean and had everything we needed, our room would’ve benefited from more natural light as only one small window. Overall I would recommend.

We use this hotel for a few days stay as we have family in Portugal. I love this hotel as it's next to the cat park and I wake up every morning and watch them play. The bed is comfortable and the room is clean. I also like that it is out of the town and has some lovely restaurants near by. Plus the views are amazing. This was our second stay here and we will definitely be back.

I went on a solo travel for my birthday and the location and room was perfect. The bed was so comfortable and it made me so happy having the bedspread be pink. There was English tv so I got to play English music while getting ready. So close to the old town and can’t miss being right on the beach. I would say the best hotel to stay at there.

This was our favourite hotel during our two weeks tour of Portugal. Probably the BEST location in Albufuria with fabulous views of the sea and town from our balcony. Just a very short stroll from the down town action but far away to ensure undisturbed sleep and peaceful days relaxing on the balcony and enjoying the local cat colony that live nearby. Location alone deserves 5 star but room was also excellent. Big, comfy bed but also a fridge that actually worked as well as tea and coffee facilities. No breakfast or bar in the hotel but that didn't matter as lots of options close by. We absolutely loved our 4 nights there and can't recommend it enough....just fabulous.

A great place to stay walkable to everything, including the cat jetty on your doorstep (community cats). Great host and services. Rooms with balcony have a great view. Only downside is that it can be noisy from the street in the day, and the you can hear everything in nearby rooms. (Doesn't put me off though as love everything else ).

The accommodation was good. All building and rooms have a very neat deco. They cleanliness in my room, all along my stay, was superb. The location was superb by the beach and Penaco Elevator for beach access. The hotel manager and/ or staff were rarely at the reception desk which was all odd to me. First time ever but I presume they were accessible at the ring of the bell. Despite the extreme heat that I could not get used I did enjoy my stay at Albufeira. Climate change may change our holidays habits all together, and end up taking holidays in Autumn or Spring only.

We booked this as a pretty much last minute decision thing and didn't expect too much due to the time of year and late booking. I'm glad to say this exceeded our expectations in every department. The location was perfect, bruno and the staff were very helpful and could not be nicer, the place itself was spotless and well looked after. Everything we needed was a short walking distance or a quick taxi ride. I would most certainly return to Frentomar. Keep up the good work Frentomar! 10/10. :)

This property is well situated on the edge of old town with close access to the beach elevator and a 20 minute walk to the marina. The views from the balcony were stunning and we very much enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. The cat park next door was an unexpected and pleasant surprise for my daughter and I.
