Beautiful setting in a state park. Great view from our room and porch. Quiet, serene and relaxing.
4.3
it was very good

Our room didn’t have heat. The thermostat was broke. We reported it that night. Have us blankets. No heat. Said they would fix it in the morning. Came home the next night and the thermostat still wasn’t fixed. So we went up to the check-in and they said they would give us a heater. So I had to go up and get the heater and bring it to my room. Then I came in and looked at it and said it couldn’t get fixed so we didn’t have heat that night either. When we checked out the girl at the desk, asked me if I would bring the heater down to them. I said I left it in the room. Didn’t ask me about didn’t ask us how things were. Poor communication.

Reasonable food and great hiking

Cozy cottage. Quiet and comfortable. Kitchen had everything we needed.
4.3
We had a great stay. We enjoyed the Tavern! It was a great place to meet the other guests. The tavern staff was awesome! The front desk staff was very helpful to us.
4.3
Beautiful lodge. Very clean. Comfortable bed. Staff very nice. Dining and buffet were excellent. Only negative is A/C is controlled by lodge and satellite tv went out.
4.3
For a non smoking room. There were cigarette ashes all over the balcony. Should have been swept up. cigarette butts on the walkway to the lobby.
Breakfast eggs were cold.
4.3
We stayed for the weekend in the lodge. The breakfast and amenities were fine. We liked the location. There was so much to do! Everything was clean and functional. A little out-dated, but charming. We would definitely stay again and we're pleased with our stay. Dan at the Tavern made our night!
4.3
The room was in need of work. The area above the entrance to room, vanity and bathroom all needed work. The were wet spots on the ceiling in those areas. The room has a smell of some mildew. The beds and pillows were very comfortable. Had a good nights sleep. All staff we encountered were very helpful and friendly. The restaurant had a variety and the food was very good. Nice gift shop. The area of the Natural Bridge State Resort Park is very nice and beautiful. My only recommendation would that an definite update to room 131 in the lodge is needed. This did not negatively impacted our experience as we were not in the room that long.
4.3
The lodge was a little outdated and retro, like most of State or National Park places. But that's what makes them so good. Right? Everything was great, Staff, food, facilities and loction. The trail to the bridge was right at the edge of the parking lot.
Red river gorge is a short drive away.
4.3
no patio lights (pitch dark )
Shared a patio with neighbors, no fire pit
Inside has 23’ tv’s in bedrooms and possible 32’ tv in living area… none work. Not even local channels. No Wi-Fi either. Pool is 10 min drive away and there is no driveway to pull into gotta hike all stuff and luggage down about 100 steps.
4.3
Remodeled lodge. Comfortable and clean
4.3
The location is great. The place itself is outdated. Hard to find when we entered in the gps. The pool was closed. Other people said it’s been closed all summer. The workers were great and kind. I had an ok stay.
4.3
Beds were hard, pillows flat, everything was outdated, building was falling apart.

Check in was possibly the worst service I have had in a hotel in a long time. Being a former front office manager for a large hotel, the lack of effort and communication was impressive from the front desk agent. We arrived early, so I fully understand not getting in, however, when I asked if she could notify the cleaner so our room could get done when it became vacant so we could get in sooner she seemed dumbfounded at that idea and when I asked if she would take my number and call me when it was ready and she said, we don’t do that, is even more impressive considering when we did come to check in the other front desk lady said they could do that. Obviously the first worker simply did not care about us or our stay at all and was more interested in playing whatever she was playing on her phone. Highly disappointed. Room was clean and nice. Customer service at the desk needs an overhaul.
4.3
Great location, the pool was actually open during our stay but ran out of pool towels, the breakfast was wonderful and staff were friendly! We asked about a playground and were sent to one tha apparently had been closed for some time due to storm damage. Our second stay in 2 years and will definitely be back!
4.3
The cottage was run down and the smell was so awful I couldn’t stay for the time I paid. I paid for two nights but only stayed one because the smell was so nauseating.
4.3
The property was close the the bridge. Because we booked through Expedia we were the latlst to get our room. Check in 3 pm. They kept telling us our room was not ready all while we sat and watched other get checked in for over an hour
Then our room was right next to the ice machine ,so loud could not sleep at all.

When we first saw our room, we were thrilled - a spacious, private cottage inside the Natrual Bridge State Park.. Then we realized that many comforts were missing: 1. No internet (the listting said "free internet" 2. The TV had no channels (weak channel signal). 3. No one was available to help (sorry, it's after 7pm). 4. The A/C was terribly noisey. 5. The bed was soft and kind of lumpy 6. When a storm came through at 4am, we realized that the roof leaked (fortunately, not over our bed or suitcases). So, if you don't mind roughing it, it's a charming place. But be ready to forego the comforts.

Wonderful getaway! Gorgeous State Park with lots of activities. Spacious cabin! The restaurant on site is fabulous - lots of options and all delicious!
4.3
I loved the location of the lodge within the park - close to the trails, visitor center, gift shop, and restaurant. The lodge has a very state park/retro 70’s vibe that I thought was cool. Our room was very clean and had a nice patio to the woods. The pool area opened the day we arrived and was an excellent spot to cool off in the afternoon. We loved our stay here!
4.3
This was a horrible experience. We were told 2 days before we arrived that the pool was closed (even thought a quick review search shows it has never been open this summer), given a cabin too small that had such a strong stench of smoke it gave you an instant headache (a tree fell on ours 3 weeks previous and no communication about it until we questioned the change…our 4 bed cabin was reduced without a word to us to 2 beds), we were then moved to the lodge that had filthy floors, drains that were backed up in the showers, and the cable was out so no TV. The people who worked there were extremely nice and polite. Too bad they are not given anything to work with! We were supposed to stay for 3 nights, left after 1. Thank goodness the park/trails were amazing and we could explore the first day.
4.3
We loved the location. Right on the trails. It is truly a beautiful area and setting. The property itself is getting a little tired. Our shower way too hot. We had to play a game of turning shower on and off to properly bathe. The refrigerator also stunk. Otherwise the room was clean and comfortable. It had a nice balcony. They should trim some trees to offer a truly beautiful view.
4.3
They advertise pool, free wifi, tv but the pool is inoperable, the tv had no service our entire stay and could not get wifi. No microwave to use either. Then all vending machines were out of order and had to drive 5 miles down the road to get drinks. They also control your room temp so we were not comfortable.
4.3
We booked this stay on the fourth of July with the intention of getting away from the city at a hotel with a pool. The pool is advertised over and over on both the Natural Bridge State Park website, and on Hotels.com.
I have stayed here before, and we loved the pool. So, we were very much excited to go and use the pool. Upon arrival the clerk told us "the pool is closed for the summer"
We were very dismayed that there was no mention of this on either website, in fact the websites use the amenity of the pool and photos of the pool to lead the customer to believe there is in fact a working pool.
Other than being disappointed by the fact we were sold that there is a pool, and in fact not having it available, evert door in our room did not open or close properly. The windows looked like they haven't been cleaned in months. There was garbage thrown all over the ground below our balcony overlooking the woods. Not what you want to see when sitting on a balcony hoping to take in a scenic view.
I am not one to leave a negative review. I do so very rarely, but this feels like it needs to be said to protect future travelers from looking forward to a clean hotel with the amenity of a pool.
Buyer beware.

This was our second time staying , great both times. Fantastic employees!!

Close to bridge
4.3
Place was awesome, had great breakfast and knowledgeable people about the area.
4.3
Wonderful trip. Beautiful location, balcony provided in each room, great food and service in the restaurant. Lovely gift store with something for everyone. Trail to Natural Bridge right out the door. Loved our time there and would highly recommended.
4.3
Had a wonderful time, stayed at lodge. Room was quiet and comfortable. We had a private balcony. Check in was quick and smooth. Lots helpful staff to answer questions. Beautiful hiking area. The Trails End Tavern was awesome! Ate dinner in restaurant very good and reasonably priced. They also had a free breakfast for guests of lodge that was fantastic. Nice little gift shop. Hope to return soon and definitely recommend to others
4.3
Property is beautiful and the staff was friendly. Rooms need updating. Unfortunately the pool was closed.
4.3
Sorry to say but the property needs some serious upkeeping
Great location, nice staff, they tried there best to keep the room kinda clean
But the pool was closed due to maintenance issues, cable not working, benches outside were moldy, stairs were dirty, staircase handles were broken, water wasn’t consistently hot. AC unit in room would t go lower than 70 degrees
4.3
"Cottage" was very dirty, tables were sticky w/ glass rings all over them, so obviously not cleaned. Porch door does not close & overall, could use a good cleaning & minor updates.
4.3
I really like the room and private balcony.
4.3
It was close to all the trails & the complimentary bfast was fine. The rooms need a good cleaning & need some TLC updates. Musty smelling & the air conditioning was hit or miss. The balcony was nice to sit out on & enjoy unless someone beside or below decided to take a smoke. Is it worth the $$$ paid- no. But what can you do? You’re kinda stuck if you want to be nearby the parks & trails. Oh! And the pool was closed. Go to the welcome center as you get off the exit to get maps & info about the area.
4.3
We enjoyed our stay in the cabin. The cabin was a little dated but very clean and the beds were very comfortable. Plenty of towels available for us. The breakfast brunch each morning was very good and the Sunday brunch was also very good. All the workers were very helpful and courteous.
4.3
It was a bit pricey food at the lodge wasn’t very good quality and overpriced the room was good bathroom sink was stoped up
4.3
Location was fantastic. Two minute walk from room to Natural Bridge Trail. Room was dated, but fairly clean. Hard floors were not terribly clean as evidenced by how dirty the bottom of my feet got after showering and then walking on the hard floors. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Nice having our own private balcony. Breakfast was the typical hotel breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cold cereal, fruit, yogurt, etc. Did not eat lunch at the hotel restaurant because we stopped by and saw that the only option was a buffet. Did not check to see whether dinner offered a menu option. Very, very disappointed that the pool was closed during the 90 degree weather. We booked thru Expedia thinking we’d be able to hike all morning and then cool off in the pool in the afternoons. Nope. We were notified via text two days prior to our arrival that the pool was closed.
4.3
Pool was closed.
