This place called me at 1330 and asked if I was still coming to stay so they wouldn’t give my room away. When I arrived at around 1600 they gave me my keys and asked for payment again. I finally got to my room and found the door open and the beds were dismantled laying all over the room. Went back to the front desk ( which was a 2 mile drive) where they did upgrade (they said) my room. Not much of an upgrade. Not one other guest was there (no one else was there, empty) so why did they call me earlier that day to ask me about showing up or they would give my room away

beautiful golf course with nice clean room but common area was a bit dirty on counters. had to clean myself as other guests were not very clean.

The lodge is at the back of the golf course, green and full of nature. The bedrooms in the golf lodge are off a shared gathering space and kitchen, good for a bunch of golfing buddies. We’re not golfers, but slept fine there. The bed was good, and the air conditioning worked well. The bed room was small, not quite as clean as I might have liked - some dust. The bathroom was clean. The other guests were quiet, not staying for golf, just passing through. Not fancy, but served our needs.

IT was pretty much like it was advertised - clean, beautiful golf course, a bit challenging - all those hills; but we had a good time. (although just for the record, we had a nearly used roll of toliet paper in our room - and there were no extras and no kleenex or other options and it was late at night when we discovered that
) so someone might check that - but of course, maybe the person before us took it.

The room was amazing, in a quiet area and it made us feel as if we were coming back home after a long day. They had a kitchen and living area in the Lodge, great for a group of friends or family to stay and spend time together. You even have a little fridge microwave and coffee maker in your room if you don’t want to leave your room.

I didnt like it was 30 degrees and the heat was not on at all, we arrived late at night and it was so so cold inside. We also walked into a huge spider web right in front of the entry door. The room had a musty smell like water damage.

The property was very nice and in a very quiet, scenic spot. We didnt golf but golfer groups will love these 2 separate buildings with common kitchens and open tv rooms. Ours had a gazebo with hot tub. Definitely a great facility with friendly staff!

Likes: comfortable bed, good shower, helpful and friendly staff when checking in. Dislikes: lodge was more dormitory style than we expected. I did not feel safe in the lodge; door locks rather flimsy. Common areas were not clean (trash in living room and outside on patio).

I have travelled extensively across America, over 34 States. The Lodge, along with my individual room, was spotless. Their attention to detail was quite astounding.

We had yolhe place pretty much to ourselves so it was nice. Kitchen has tons of utensils and necessities. There is a gas and charcoal grill on site. The hot tub was wonderful.

On the Expedia site it listed a bar and restaurant being at the clubhouse. This is outdated information as they do have them but only when they have golf tournaments, the lounge, bar, and restaurant are not open all the time. The staff were great, very helpful and had lots of useful information for us. The property is nice and the facilities were well kept.

The stay was nice. Not fancy but was clean and it was more private then a hotel. Had a beautiful pond and landscape around which was a plus. Down side they do not serve breakfast you have to go into town for that which is not to big of deal but maybe inconvenient for some especially for families.

Best place to stay in Glenwood. The large common area is especially nice if you're meeting up with family- with spacious, fully equipped kitchen facilities, outdoor deck and patio. Like another review, it is a little creepy if you're a woman as the lodges are off-site from the main clubhouse and remote. Given the other options in town, though, it's well worth it.
On the surface, housekeeping looks good but we noticed hair and crumbs were still there after "cleaning." Floors had not been vacuumed nor sinks cleaned out- just towels replaced and bed made.

Arrived after Golf Club House was closed. Was left a key and envelope with directions to room. Very remote! Only guest the first night. Traveling alone, wasn't lit well and structure seemed abandoned. Overloaded front porch, had to fight the outdoor furniture with my luggage. Room was very clean and comfortable but had no security locks on the door. Second night my room key was disabled, my car battery was dead. No way to call anyone, no numbers listed outside for front desk or after hours, could not enter the lobby, no way to get to the main clubhouse as it is over 2 miles away down backroads to the main road. Fortunately, had the number on my cell from reservation. Called and got the club after 45 mins of no answer. The after hours/ emergency number is not on the answering machine. Was brought a functioning room key. They had no jumper cables to jump my car. There was no vending machines, and had no food or any way to get it. (No delivery) The hotel guy just said I could look up a wrecker service and left. I would rather drive 30 mins extra for a chain hotel. Not a great scenario for a woman traveling alone. I travel alone quite often, but this was too far away from civilization and had I not been able to access my email, I would not had any way to call the office. At least post emergency numbers outside since it's that remote.
