I thought that it was very clean, the staff was very friendly. The rooms were a bit older but were in excellent condition. The only issue I had was there were guests that had a truck with a sign that said "F*^& Biden". It was parked right outside my door. Although I did not say anything to management, I was surprised that the sign remained for the entire stay, as the hotel is very family-friendly.

The location was great! Only a mile and a half away from the boardwalk but still right on the beach. The room was very roomy and nice. Very dated but we didn’t mind. We didn’t get to enjoy the pool because of the weather but from the looks of it, it was great and the guest that was in it said it was heated. Usually when you stay in a hotel you come home with such a backache from the beds. This bed was firm but not like sleeping on a piece of wood. The pullout couch was a different story lol but you can’t except a whole lot out of those. The couch was super comfy though!! We will definitely be staying here again!!

It is a perfect motel right by the beach! It is a close drive to restaurants and the Wildwood Boardwalk. The only thing we had trouble with was the AC. It is an older unit and we had trouble sleeping because of the noise it made when it turned on.

The staff was extremely friendly, the facility was very clean, and the beach was feet away. The only critique I have is that there was no one onsite in the evening, so there wasn't anyone to report issues to that had transpired during the evening. There were guests that had children staying at the hotel and they were loud well past midnight- jumping, screaming, loud music and unfortunately the were staying on the floor above us, so it was even more disturbing. We left early in the AM due to this disturbance so that we could get home to rest.

The hotel was in an amazing location and the beach was great! The pool area was nice. The rooms were very outdated. The air conditioners were loud and hard to control. The sheet on the pull out had stains on it which they say was from the cleaning service. It would be nice if there were curtains as there were only blinds. Also would be nice to have a hair dryer in the room. The kitchen area was cool and had everything we would have needed to cook there. Overall I would recommend it based on location if you’re not looking for luxury.

For the price you pay it is to be expected The great feature of this property is the close proximity tithe beach and the pool is shaded most of the afternoon so very refreshing during the brutal summer heat.

We stayed here with our two small children for our vacation. The room we stayed in is in need of some TLC but it felt clean and was a good size for our needs. The staff was very friendly. The pool was pretty standard for the area and my girls really enjoyed using it. The best and most important PART--LOCATION. The only thing standing between the Ala Kai and the beach was an empty lot. Also, it is a very quick and easy drive to the Boardwalk and only 9min to the whale watching boats in Cape May. We will keep this property in mind if we decide to visit wildwood again next summer Important for families with small children*** The rooms have a bathtub but do not have plugs. Put a rubber flat tub plug on your vacation shopping list.
