Pricy for the type of room. Everything in Chalten is pricy. No potable water in room or lobby. Lovely lady allowed us a check in before noon so we could go hiking in the park and not loose a day. Near the bus station, less than 10 minutes walk. Ok breakfast, too many sweet items. Room had good heat and was spacious. Bathroom clean and good size.

No wifi and no TV in hotel room. Front desk is very helpful. It has an option to buy lunch pack. Get it before you go to hiking.

The room is big and clean. The breakfast is included. The staff is kind and helpful. There were several times power outages at night. It was short time duration. But after power outages, Wifi were down for a longer time.

Not perfect but you are a real guest and they try to accommodate as much as they can
Very nice person and location

I do not know why i ordered one night for 160 dollars but they changed into 30 dollars a night later. I felt that i was cheated by Expedia and the hotel.

We had a decent stay here. It's located close to the bus station, which was great when we arrived in the freezing night. The staff was lovely. The rooms are decent, but we woke up very cold, I'm not sure it was well heated all night long. This area is very expensive so we were happy with what was in our budget.

The room is very clean and comfy. The staff were great - very friendly and helpful. Plus it’s located 5 mins (walking distance) from the train station. My one complaint is that Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby. My room was close enough to the lobby that at times I would get a few bars. Overall, I would still highly recommend!!! I had a great stay with them.

The hotel is well designed and quite comfortable. My room was large which was helpful when I was organizing my trekking gear. Breakfast was included and was good. WiFi was on and off, but that is a problem with the whole town. I would stay there again.

Loved this place, simple but comfortable and tastefully decorated.

Spotless room. The entire room was very clean and very modern. The location was a few blocks from the may street, but very close to the bus station. It's on the edge of town close to the river so it was very quiet. The breakfast was delicious and very large. And the service was amazing! We stayed for two nights and we're sad we couldn't add a couple more. They'll store your luggage while you're on hikes even if you checked out.

Great little hotel on the edge of town. Good size room, clean and comfortable. The walls were a bit thin and the halls echoed so we found it a bit loud when other guests were walking around. Would recommend!

Nicest staff ever. Comfortable, spacious rooms. Good breakfast.

The service at the lodge was amazing they helped us with everything that we needed. In high season the price is very high and not really providing the value. There is no tv in the room, no sockets next to the beds, the pillows and the bed is super uncomfortable. Very clean and friendly make sure to book in advanced and get it at the right price.

We would have stayed here longer! Plenty of room for several bags without feeling cramped. Staff was extremely accommodating and helpful.

A short walk from the bus station, it faces a cliff and we spent some time just watching the tightrope walking, ascents and descents of the climbers.
Breakfast okay for Argentina (they don’t seem to do eggs) fruit, toast, cakes, cereal, juice, yogurts
Bedrooms roomy and bed comfortable. Good hot water pressure for bath or shower

Decent no-frills room in El Chalten - a bit expensive for what it is, but then demand for rooms is high, while there is limited supply in town. The town is quite small, so it only takes a few minutes to walk either to the bus station or to the main road, with its restaurants and bars. And the trailheads are not far away, either. The breakfast buffet was OK, and the front desk was helpful with advice on locations in the town, and hiking in the area. Although the hotel is in a quiet area, sounds from the reception and lounge can be clearly heard in the rooms - and the walls were thin enough that I could hear snoring from next door, too. Also, hot water in the shower seemed a bit hit and miss, with rather large temperature fluctuations - not ideal after long days of walking in the mountains!

Very nice Hotel, beautifully built. In a good location, with a short walk to the main centre of town. Large bedroom with full bathroom. Our host quickly changed our bed linen to a twin, as per our booking. The communal breakfast bar was nicely decorated and included a lounge suite in the front window, which had a view of an impressive rockface. The host allowed us to stay past the check-out time to catchup on our emails etc.

Easy check-in and parking, walkable location for shops and restaurants (though most locations in this town seem like they'd be equally appealing since it's so small), standard breakfast, good shower. You need to leave your key at the front desk when you leave the building which is a slight hassle (need to wait for a staff person's attention to enter/exit) but we did experience this at one other place in El Calafate. Friendly staff!

We really enjoyed our five-day stay at the Vertical Lodge in July. The hotel room is simple but very clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed and a large, clean bathroom. The location is very close to the bus station (with a nice little restaurant attached that serves tasty empanadas), has plenty of other restaurants nearby, and even more within about a 10-20 minute walk. It is about a 20-minute walk to the Laguna de los Tres trailhead, about 15 minutes walking to the Cerro Torre trailhead, and about 10 minutes to the Mirador de los Condores trailhead. (However, El Chalten is very small and you can walk from one end to the other within about 20 minutes.) The breakfast was good and the two women at the reception were very kind and helpful. We would definitely stay here again...a very good value for the money and a great base for all of our trekking adventures in El Chalten!

Despite the loud and fast wind, the building was fine. There was only one very brief outage. It’s warm and comfortable inside. Facilities were great. Breakfast was decent. And WiFi is sufficient. Good stay. Would stay again.

The staff members were really nice . There was a weird smell one day in the hotel lobby (sever ?), but overall it is very clean. The hotel is close to the bus station. It was inexpensive and we were spending the majority of our time outside anyways.
