Lovely facility, very relaxing. The lady overseeing the place, Marjorie, is very kind and responsible. I enjoyed my daily breakfast.
The rooms need a little TLC and a bit more insect control throughout the property.
Be careful with the hill up to the property, it's very steep.

The property has a very nice view of the bay, which makes it worth the stay. The pool and patio area is really nice, clean and enjoyable. It's a short walk from the center of the town but the last part is uphill. The only issue we had is that the room (pool view) we had is right next to the kitchen and there were a lot of ants, and the garbage is next to the room door. The cabin rooms seemed much better options.

The cabina was perfect, it felt like I was in the jungle.
Was glad they moved me away from the kitchen area!

My partner and I decided to book this hotel as it seemed like it would be a nicer place to rest than a hostel and to enjoy the pool with great views. For positives, the staff was really nice and present if there was any questions we had. But I really am writing this review because the listing is not accurate to what the place provides. For starters, we booked the bungalow with the balcony and when we arrived, there was another couple who was given our bungalow and we "had the option" between two other side cabins. This was disappointing from the start because we booked the specific cabin we booked for a reason. The listing says there is a stocked mini bar we can help ourselves too, and there was nothing of the sort. The fridge in the kitchen did not have anything either. Keep in mind this "hotel" is a bit of a ways out of town up a steep hill, far from any other places that offer food or drinks. The listing also says "Yoga classes are offered at the gym;" ? There is no "gym" or yoga, just a mat provided for a self guided practice. The wifi would barely stay connected for more than 5 minutes at the cabin. There are dogs in the neighborhood that bark all throughout the night (not the properties fault but it should be noted).
This property is nothing like a "hotel" and more like a hostel airbnb that provides the bare minimum for the rooms and experience. With so many options in SJDS, I highly suggest choosing a different place to stay.

No A/C, not hot water, no towels, dirty floor and two days with out cleaning the room with only one small piece of soap !!! DISGUSTING !!!

Cabin was ok, the guys who worked there seemed nice but the one woman was aggressive. One night we were reading books in our cabin and suddenly she came yelling at us about (maybe) pizza?? no idea what was her problem. Staff do not speak english at all, even though it said at booking site that they do. Overpriced place.

The good: The buildings were well constructed and very lovely. The location and view was super beautiful. The pool was clean and a perfect temperature. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The not so good: The room needed a bug screen to keep biting bugs out at nighttime (our arms are covered in bites). For the cost of the room, it should also have included the basics that most other hotels of that price range include: shampoo, kleenex, and a new bar of soap each day. We shouldnt have had to go shopping for these items. There also should have been hand soap in the kitchen and in the shared bathroom by the pool. The poolside and outdoor lounging areas would benefit from more comfortable seating. We would have spent more time relaxing at the Casa if we could have had more comfortable seating. For the high price, we expected more comforts.

The view of the pool and SJDS is awesome and relaxing. It is close to town 10min walk, although the walk is very steep. Inside the room needs more maintenance/decor and upkeep with bugs getting in. A good place for surfers or those that don’t mind the stay being a bit on the rough/camping side of things.

We stayed for 3 days/nights in the main building and were overall very pleased. The view is beautiful and pool was refreshing. Breakfasts were decent - my omelette was a little runny one morning but thats a possibility anywhere. There was a small miscommunication regarding booking a taxi to the airport our last morning but using google translate the wonderful lady in charge of breakfast called someone to arrange the taxi last minute - all was well. The minibar was an added bonus and the staff were all very nice. We arrived early and were able to use the pool while they made up the room (which was ready early). No matter where we stayed we always kept in mind that infrastructure in Nicaragua is not like home - there may be periods of no power, hot water, etc (the town was replacing poles and power was out everywhere). They upgraded the water pressure while we were there. There were a few moments like that in each place we stayed however this was the only place that looked into the reasons and tried to have any inconvenience shortened. *The walk up the hill was not that bad if you dont have mobility issues. My partner has a bad back and he found it challenging but completed it a number of times. A couple that was there at the same time usually took a taxi from the centre of town. We didnt take advantage of any of the shuttles to nearby beaches or activities, but the value was good.

While all the hostals on San Juan del Sur offers small rooms, Casa Andalucia will give you the maximum experience of comfort and tranquility. The pool view rooms are the best choice, you'll receive free mini bar, big room and all commodities required.
Staff is great to talk to and they'll serve you in anything you need. The hotel has private security and awesome town view.

The manager is a sweetheart and went the extra mile to make our stay perfect. The Bamboo bungalow was so cute, great view and the pillows were very very nice and comfortable. The location is still within walking distance to everything but the view is amazing. I hope to be back soon!!

This hotel is a bit out of the way, but so worth it for the great views. It felt like I was staying in a villa instead of a hotel. The free breakfast was simple, but delicious, the staff was friendly, the property is gorgeous and well kept (infinity pool, great views, clean, comfortable, free WiFi, free parking and security monitored 24hrs/day). The room I stayed in (poolside cabana) was very simple with no AC and no door on the bathroom. It was comfortable nonetheless, but I mention it only because some may want to stay in another room. The hotel itself was a gem and I was very happy to have picked it. It is a bit of a hike up & down the hill, so driving is your best option, but it is manageable by foot. I loved my stay and was sad to have to check out!

This hotel has an amazing view! Super cute! The only down side is no AC in the tree house and the hot water was not working. The big hill was a killer to walk up but the view definitely made up for it. But other then that it is a great hotel if you are looking for relaxation and privacy!

Very nice and well maintained place with beautiful town/beach view from a infinity pool and shared area. Very friendly and helpful staff trying to make our stay as comfortable as possible. We also used an outside grill (we had a lovely Christmas dinner there) and enjoyed morning breakfasts and especially fresh fruit juice. The minibar treat was a very nice welcome gesture we truly appreciated. We loved every minute of our stay (except the 10 mins hike from the town, but that's the price you pay for quite neighborhood and stunning view:)
