Within walking distance of town centre and harbour excellent curtious friendly staff nothing too much trouble spotlessly clean convenient car park thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would thoroughly recommend it for anyone visiting Ramsgate

Digital code entry system is much more convenient than having a key/card with you.

It's a great quirky hotel in a fascinating part of town, a short walk from restaurants and the seafront, not to mention the Van Gogh statue.

A lovely small hotel just a short walk from the harbour. The room was a good size, in great condition and with a huge bathroom (shower only). Despite being an old building there were no signs of creaky floorboard nor other noises often found in older hotels. In fact there was barely a sound so much so I wondered if we had the hotel to ourselves but there were certainly other guests at breakfast. The road outside was quiet too.
Definitely one I will use again!

Lovely place in great location.

We booked last minute so we could have a night away as a couple with no kids.
The establishment was only open to guests but we were given an access code for the front door and our key was in the door to our room. All very simple.
The room its self was lovely and large. Airy with a decent sized bathroom and an amazing shower.
The bed was so comfy with the best hotel pillows we have ever experienced.
There were a few hairs around the sink but nothing scary. Shower was immaculate with lovely, fresh towels. We were both very impressed with the large towels as hotel ones are usually on the small side but these were awesome.
We did feel that the Tv was a bit small as the room was large and it was all the way at the other side. We both have reasonable eye site but had to stand to see channel options.
The one downside that was a real irk was that there was no way to lock the bedroom from the inside so anyone could have just walked in.
In a small, boutique style hotel so it’s not beyond the imagination that someone could get lost after a few drinks and enter the wrong room.
Breakfast was lovely. Service was outstanding. Immediately guided to a table already set and offered a choice of fresh orange or apple juice plus tea and coffee. Toast and fresh pastry were brought to us straight away with cereal, and other continental options.
As an extra I ordered the full English which was superb. Meat quality outstanding, as was the Scottish server/chef.
Impeccable food. 100% will be back.

Lovely one night stay, we had wanted to stay at the Falstaff Inn for some years and finally got the opportunity recently, it was worth the wait! The room itself was clean and comfortable with a pleasant view and ensuite, perfectly situated a short stroll from the shops and marina. The inn oozes style, with a sense of modernity, period furniture and original features, the staff made instructions clear, efficient and were helpful, with a friendly welcome and checkin, great continental breakfast too!

Made to feel very welcome by the team who run the Falstaff. Would definitely stay again.

Nice, quiet area just a short walk into town. We arrived early and were allowed to check in. The room was nice enough but wasn’t made up on the second day when we returned. We stayed at the start of the week so there was a limited, continental breakfast offered. Arrived on a Sunday and the Sunday lunches looked amazing. Staff helpful.

Very clean and quiet, no noise from other rooms. The extra costs on check in (£25 for extra bed even though booked for 3 people, plus £10 parking) were a surprise but it’s central to town and comfortable enough. Very helpful friendly staff.

No one was there!
The room was tired in places.
Bed and breakfast; No breakfast at advertised time. Check inn was a text message. Car parking was not signposted or explained prior to check in.
Very poor experience.
Will nnot stay there again.

Unusual entry/exit protocol. Often noone around on entry or exit, but security at high level.
Nice continental breakfast included.
Steep, twisty staircase, hard to negotiate when carrying luggage.
Rental car scraped by other car park user.

THE APARTMENT WAS LARGE, CLEAN AND IN GOOD CONDITION. THE AREA WAS VERY QUIET. PARKING ON STREET WAS AN ISSUE.

Hotel is a relatively recently renovated Grade 2 listed building. It is a quirky establishment, with only 8 rooms, spread over three floors. Outfitted with older period pieces of furniture, there is an warm, comfortable ambience, or there may have been had the hotel been more occupied. Due to purported covid restriction carryover, the hotel services were mostly curtailed, with no evening restaurant and partial coffee shop/brunch service on 5 days.
Room was adequate, although there was no hanging spaces for clothes. Room was not serviced during two night stay.
Security was good, with keyless entry to hotel and room. Many times there was no one around upon entry to the hotel.

Absolutely lovely hotel with such a character. Loved the amazing croissants in the morning and the charm of the garden. The staff were exceptional.

We were looking forward to our stay after reading the reviews but we did not have a good experience. There are no keys - its all electric door code entry - and this caused most of our issues. We were initially sent the wrong code so couldn't access the room. It then didn't work the next day after we returned in the afternoon. Staff said they'd fixed it but we found out they hadn't when we were locked out of the hotel that night during Storm Eunice. There are no staff around after 5pm and they didn't answer the mobile or landline and we only got back in after contacting them through Facebook Messenger.
Calling it a continental breakfast is flattering and we weren't aware of car park charges until we arrived. We were then over-charged for our stay so had to be issued a refund.
The room wss an ok size and bathroom newly refurbished but the bed and pillows were uncomfortable and there was just one hook to hang clothes.
The experience ruined a birthday weekend away.

When I walked in it felt like I was walking into my own home after a long drive and felt very warm and cosy. The room was outstanding and attention to detail is exceptional. Every evening and morning full care and attention was wonderful to make sure I had a comfortable stay and the parking is a fantastic bonus that was very helpful indeed. Fresh towels, immaculate room and hallways made me feel very safe. Highly recommended.

No greeting as advertised, just a tricky entry system. Nice, warm and comfortable room. Poor breakfast, with no choice of white or brown toast, marmalade or jam or a second cup of tea. No yoghurt or honey as would be usual for a continental breakfast.I had to ask for the tea tray to be refreshed on the evening of the second day, thinking this would prompt a daily refresh I never asked again. Sadly it did not and washing up on our break is not what I was expecting. All in all, I would not stay again and think it poor value for money.

It was a very pleasant stay breakfast was cereal, toast and croissant which was freshly baked on site. We had to pay for car parking on site which we did not know until we left as hotels.com has got the wrong information on its website. They changed our towels with no problem. Very pleasant stay.

The staff were extremely helpful they couldn’t do enough to help us. The food in the hotel was lovely. There were no fold up beds available on our arrival so the staff upgraded our room to accommodate us and made our stay extremely comfortable. Ideal location.

Hi a couple of unexpected surprises when we signed in. 1) had to pay to park the car 2) continental breakfast only. At £120 a night I would have expected free parking and a cooked breakfast. Would not have booked our stay if I had known in advance!

Had a fabulous stay at the Falstaff. No manned 24 hour reception but Diane was on hand to meet us on arrival and show us to our room. The room itself was spacious (not palatial space but more than enough for a short stay) and very clean and tidy having been decorated as part of a thorough renovation of the hotel. The room itself had everything needed in a hotel room (tv, hairdryer, kettle).Guest lounge was lovely and we made the most of this on our first night when the weather was too awful to be out too long. Very clean and tidy and allowed to bring in food etc should you want. The hotel itself is only a short 5 minutes stroll to the sea front and set in a street that was safe and quiet. Small shop directly opposite the hotel for any groceries you might need. Breakfast was basic (continental) but able to order something more substantial if required. Parking was a little tricky. The car park is set behind the hotel and access is at the bottom of a narrow road which, thanks to the road markings, looks like a one way street that you can’t access. It’s a little confusing first time. No in-room housekeeping for the short duration of our stay due to COVID protocols in place but this suited us and made us feel more COVID-secure knowing nobody else was in our room while we were out for the day.Dog-friendly too although advisable to call reception on booking to confirm.Would definitely recommend the Falstaff to anyone wanting to explore Ramsgate.

A great place, clean, stylish and comfortable with friendly approachable staff. Set in a picturesque and historic street in Ramsgate near all the facilities and marina. Parking behind the building for a tiny charge.
