Very cozy. Staff excellent & responsive. Warm. Recommended.

Very nice accommodation for a solo traveler like me. Not much room for luggage, but everything else was great.

Really enjoyed our stay. However, the towels weren’t clean… that led to some other doubts about what else wasn’t clean…. But the rest of the stay was nice. The food was amazing!

Comfortable bed, nice kitchen area and bathroom. Our room was large. The Taos Ski Area is beautiful.

My favorite stay in the area

We stayed in cottage D, everything was good. I have never seen this in any hotel I've ever stayed at, there was a black wash cloth n on it was a little strip where it said makeup! This is brilliant. Every place shld do this. No stains on a white cloth. Way to go Alpine village. Loved it here.
Plenty of towels.

The room itself was great. Rustic and exactly what I wanted. Good bed, reasonably well equipped kitchen, clean bathroom and a couch. Room could have used a regular height chair of some kind. The afternoon after my arrival, the WIFI pass code was changed. I had to drive to remote office location to get updated pass code. Inconvenient. Hotels.com website misrepresented the amenities. Showed a picture of a jacuzzi spa which is NOT included or available on this property. Caused confusion and conflict with Alpine Village management office. I checked out one day early due to inconveniences and road construction noise and delays.
I expect a refund for my third unused night under these circumstances. Nice room yet a logistical nightmare.

Beautiful property for the price will come back !

The check in was so irritating! It’s not at the place you’re staying at. It’s 2 miles up the road and hard to find! Hot tub was cold!

On our way down the mountain came across a group of rocky mountain sheep in the middle of the road
was awesome.

Stayed 2 nights and there was severe construction noise across the street starting at 7am, second day was quiet. Shower needs another glass panel in back to keep water off the floor, and the kitchen seating is too tall for comfort at the counter. Front window is great for light, but needs a privacy curtain that allows light to transmit. Aside from these annoyances, the rest of the experience was very good. Check in instructions were never sent, and it has to be done at their slopeside sister location, not on site.

I stayed at the Cottage Lodge for 2 nights during a recent skiing trip to Taos. I arrived at the lodge, but there was no office. The cleaning crew told me to head up the road to the Alpine office 1.5 miles away. I did and could not find it. I returned and followed the cleaning crew to the office in Taos Ski Valley. I checked in without difficulty. The Cottam Lodge is separate from main hotel and there are no services. There were several nice features. I was able to store my skis at the main hotel and put my boots on there, leaving my shoes with the desk. The room at the Cottage Lodge was adequate. Fully equipped kitchen, bathroom recently remodeled with nice shower and a comfortable bed. Room was a mixture of 1970-80 decor with some more modern updates. Functional for a couple. There was snow during my visit and climbing up and down the unshoveled steps with suitcases was somewhat challenging. Parking is immediately in front. There is a hot tub that I did not use. One other item: the Cottam Lodge is almost at 9000 feet. If you are coming from sea level, you might consider staying at a lower altitude (perhaps in Taos) as sleeping at that altitude was challenging. All in all a reasonable stay at a reasonable price with great snow conditions at Taos.

Do not recommend this place to anyone. Place was supposed to be serene. Our experience was far from it. Outside it was picturesque. Inside - one word - crappy. Worst place I’ve stayed at for the money I paid. Room was either hot or cold. Temperature control didn’t exist. Floor was cold a couldn’t stay without our socks on all the time or on the bed. Bathroom didn’t have exhaust. One good this is, hot water was good. Bed was very soft and gave me back pain. Room service didn’t exist. We came back from skiing at 3 or 3:30 but our room was not cleaned. Other rooms were being cleaned. ABSOLUTELY the worst place to stay.

Ice in room would be nice but not a big deal. Very nice experience dining locally! Very quiet!!!

I would never recommend this place for any family. The place is not maintained well, the ceiling were peeling from water damage. Then the pest issues, there we bugs crawling and huge black ants crawling on our bed. We couldn’t sleep well just because of thinking you can be bitten while asleep. The place was hot making it uncomfortable to sleep also and our room was along the corridor so we couldn’t sleep with the window open. I know this is a ski village and maybe skier’s don’t care where they stay, but it’s also rented in the summer. Never us again ever coming close to this place.

We were very disappointed with our stay. It started with our check-in. We were told via email that check-in time was until 9pm. The front desk closed at 815pm. I received a call stating our keys would be left in an envelope at the front desk. Once we arrived (right before 9pm), we could not find the keys and no one was available to help. After searching for nearly 30 minutes we finally found them outside in an envelope in the pouring rain. Once we got to the cabin, it was not at all what we expected. It was advertised as a 2-bedroom that sleeps 6 people. It was a 1 bedroom with a loft. The only access to the loft was from a steep ladder in the 1 bedroom. Both twin beds in the loft were full of dead bugs so my kids refused to sleep up there. The only bathroom was in the 1 bedroom. So if you want any kind of privacy, this is not the right place. Everything is accessed from the bedroom. It was nice having the kitchen, which was fully stocked with pot/pans/dishes. It would have been nice to know that there was a grill available to cook which would have helped to minimize some of the heat in the cabin from the kitchen. The cabin is perfect size for 2-3 people that are ok with having no privacy.

The property was awful. So noisy.

Very quaint mom and pop outfit. They had hummingbird feeders set up and little thing like wine glasses and a cork screw set out. Walls are a little thin and could hear the people snoring next door but we turned on a fan. It was clean and fine for 2 people. Nice kuerig coffee machine with plenty of coffee. Only complaint is the shower it went from scalding to ice cold back to scalding. I had to rinse off my shampoo in cold water just so I didn't get burned. Wish there was a way to fix that. Nice memory foam mattress but a little firm for my wife. Worth the money. Glad there was no smoking anywhere on the premises. Like that they just texted you the room code at check-in time.

Excellent location and easy access to skiing. Layout of condo was perfect for our family. Staff was friendly and helpful and responded to our request for supplies. Unit was just not adequately cleaned or stocked with essentials (cobwebs very prominent in corners throughout, quite a bit of long strands of dark hair had to be picked off of bedding, bedding was not even provided for futon, and soap and toilet paper supply was nearly empty upon our arrival). Although we carried on and had a great trip, this really impacted our overall comfort level throughout our stay. We will not likely return to this condo.

We booked a 2-night stay the lodge.
Bad news: Room was not in good shape overall with slow heat, draft through the door and the room above sounding like a bowling alley.
Good news: Called and talked with Garrett. He brought a space heater to get us through the night. The next day, he moved us down the road to much better accommodations. Being in a sales, understand the importance of service and he did that exceedingly. Upon check-out, Maddy was also friendly and helpful.

Toilet was broken, No barbecue grill, heater doesn't work properly, refrigerator freezer ha 2-3 inches of frost build up, hair in bathroom sink, needs a deep clean.

Located just a mile south of the Taos Ski valley, this small Lodge was comfortable convenient and easy to park in. The place was clean and I have no issues with it at all except I couldn't get the television to work. But besides that I would stay there again.

Nice place to relax in a scenic location. During the summer it is quite and peacefull. There were a couple of restaurants open when we stayed. Water pressure was very low and internet was allmost impossible. No air conditioning but good fans made up for it. Would go again.

The cabin was cute and quaint. It was a little run-down though. The outlets wouldn’t hold any plugs, they want you to do your own dishes but there wasn’t a stopper for the sink, the room didn’t have AC and the fans didn’t do much for keeping it cool. One of the fans didn’t even oscillate anymore and they were all full of dust. We only stayed one night or I would have had them come fix some stuff.

Building was older, but clean. Bed was comfortable.
