The restaurant was very good. The lodge was clean and comfortable and the staff was fantastic.

The only thing that was problematic was that the WiFi was not always strong enough. Food in the restaurant was great.

If you want a beautiful African experience with no bells and whistles, then Ngomo Lodge is a lovely place to visit. Nestled in lush, tropical gardens, the lodge has a typical African themed reception, which is like walking into a tasteful and cosy living room. Rooms at the lodge are very simple and may lack the small attention to detail that one may find in bigger hotels. That said, the bed was very comfortable, our room and the public areas were utterly spotless! Our room opened out into the pool area which is beautiful! Well tended, tropical gardens, surround the pool, it is lighted up at night which makes it look magical and it is quiet and restful during the day. The pool has many shaded areas where one can sit comfortably without being boiled by the strong African sun. The small restaurant overlooks the pool area and my husband and I ate there every day. Food is prepared fresh from scratch and everything that we ate was made with love and was delicious! The lodge has a small staff who gives one the sense that they are all a family who run the lodge with pride and love. I cannot emphasise the staffs' absolute humility, politeness and utter devotion to their guests. Zambians are the nicest people I have ever met. They have left a huge place in my heart and I can't wait to go back again.

Excellent lodge in a quiet area of Livingstone. The room was very clean and cosy with a terrace adjacent to the pool area. All of the staff members were extremely polite and professional, always ready with a smile and eager to help.
The dinner menu was extensive for a small lodge and there were several different options for breakfast. Although I preferred to walk to and from the city center, a taxi can also be arranged for those who prefer to drive. I was able to book an excellent safari and airport transfer easily. I would happily return here again.

Pleasant lodge with about 10 rooms, located in a quiet area away from busy streets. Lobby and gardens have much interesting art. There is an on-site restaurant, serving mostly meat, but also a tasty vegan stir-fry with rice for $12USD. Some rooms look out over the pool. Outside bar area. It is located a 5 minute walk from the intercity bus station, but is too far to walk from the bridge at Victoria Falls - a taxi is about $10USD. Easy 15-minute walk to shopping area with ATM and bureau de change.

Fabulous stay. Staff are friendly and helpful.
The chef Gilbert is the best. Reception staff Caroline and Ken helpful. Thanks to Destin, Naomi, and all kitchen and hosekeeping staff. All meals were delicious.
Close to airport and the Mosi--oa-tunya falls.
The livingston museum is a must see and gift shop has great prices. All in all, the people of livingston are warm and peaceful, which makes any vacation great.

Incredibly friendly staff, great location in the center of town, beautiful pool area

This is a lovely lodge for the budget conscious. The staff were super helpful with reserving activities and transport. The restaurant provided a perfectly fine breakfast, but only instant coffee (yet Zambia grows excellent coffee). The pool was nice. Staff provided me milk for my room and a teapot. Bed was very comfortable.

The property is quiet an oasis in the middle of town, but they are burning trash 24/7 right outside of the property and the smell is penetrating everything. Made hanging out at the pool and bar unenjoyable:(
Food was safe, but nothing special.

Great spot to stay; the staff were SO helpful & friendly. Loved relaxing by the pool. Clean and safe.

The staff here are really lovely and I think that’s a big part of why this property rates so well on various platforms. It’s also the reason this review is 3 stars and not lower.
Unfortunately, my experience wasn’t great. My wife and I stayed in 4 rooms over 4 nights (partly our fault for last minute booking, but unexpectedly being forced to change rooms at 7:15am one morning wasn’t part of the plan and we were less than impressed). Also, being told a standard room is the same as Deluxe except for the room size and then being stuck on a small bed wasn’t great.
The rooms vary a lot (and are not as good as the photos) - different mattresses, air con units, wifi signal, mosquito nets… some have quilts, others just with sheets. It’s a bit of a lucky dip.
Cigarette smoke from outside creeping into two of the rooms was unpleasant and there was lots of mosquitoes in one of them too.
For the money, I was disappointed and think it’s poor value. That said, the staff try their best and we always felt safe and didn’t feel any need to worry about valuables

Together with another couple We stayed at this property that is nothing short of being but excellent. The staff were all most helpful in every way - they even iron your clothes for you free of charge and arrange tours transport etc. Rita, Kenny, Destiny, Margaret and the owner with the brilliant white hair are among the best people you would come across.

The lodge is located in a very quiet community with dirt roads. The people are friendly and welcoming. The hotel restaurant was only serving breakfast so we walked to a nearby restaurant for lunch and the local grocery store. The lodge has a lot character and the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Kennedy prepared an early breakfast so we could have a bit before the 7am pickup time for Chobe tour. The accommodations are simple but unique. The bed and sheets were very comfortable and the AC worked well. Shower had nice hot water and strong pressure. The lodge is kept clean and organized. All in all the lodge is a great value and you get to experience the real culture of Livingstone.

It's a sweet, well situated property and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. It's fairly basic in terms of room, etc. but the garden, pool and breakfast area were pleasing and the lobby was nicely decorated and welcoming.
One minor thing: I hope they switch to a nice drip coffee for breakfast cause the instant brand they use is really meh! For those of us who need a good cup in the morning, these things are important :)

Kennedy was very friendly and welcoming at the front desk. They helped arrange transport for us from the airport and anywhere we wished to go. Breakfast was made for us every morning and our room was cleaned well every day of our stay. The pool was excellent and the wifi was decent. Nice art in our room and a working a/c and minifridge was nice. We had a great stay and will definitely return if in Livingstone!

We booked 3 rooms for a family trip. Ken was great and helpful throughout our stay, went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. Overall, I’d highly recommend the place. Breakfast was good, AC excellent, there are solar lights in case of any outage, pool was decent but needs to be re-painted. Water pressure was excellent, only one day when hot water was inconsistent. The place is hidden In a decent neighborhood and close to restaurants and amenities. Overall, we’ve found a spot for all our future Livingstone trips.
