The Colonial Estates were excellent. Nice cottages, modern and clean and very close to the beach area. Loved the sandy beach and firepits. staff was excellent, property beautiful and close to town

The only thing I would change about this property is a bit more soundproofing for the dual bungalows. Other than that, it was fantastic.

I wasn’t sure what to expect of this property and I was pleasantly surprised. We were warmly greeted with well landscaped grounds and easily checked in. Plenty of parking just outside our room (#9). The room itself was clean and comfortable. Microwave, sizable refrigerator with charcoal grills and picnic tables designated for the unit (not sure this is the case with the main house units). We had a little porch with a couple of chairs, perfect for morning coffee (there is a drip coffee maker in the room). There were comfortable chairs and tables by the water and the pool looked great although we didn’t use it. They have portable fire pits and we had a great fire going Friday night. Less than a 5 minute drive is a market, bakery, bagel store - alll very convenient. It has all the basics, we would stay here again.

The resort had everything we needed. Great kitchen, comfortable beds, spacey living room, close to the sea, playground for the kids, barbecue, pool, … It was very quiet (except for one night at the Memorial‘s Day weekend) and with a rental car you can start wonderful day trips from there.

The bed sunk into the middle, and there was no plug outlet in the bathroom. I was able to use an outlet in the bedroom and the mirror on the dresser. We were located in one of the cottages.

We go every year , and it’s wonderful, very peaceful , Room are Clean and the grounds are nice. The only thing is if you cannot climb steps do not get a room on upper level . We asked for bottom level room they said they did not have any and I did not even see anyone in them until the day I was leaving. Pool is slso great!

The property is on the water and depending on which room you have you could have water views. It’s very clean! The parking is in the property, very convenient!The rooms are small. It’s ok to stay for a couple of nights, but for more time you would need more space. However, is reasonably priced for what you get! I recommend it!

Overall Colonial Shores Resort is a very beautiful resort both outside and inside (the cottage). Everything outside is well kept up and gorgeous - landscaping, walkways, pool area, lower seating area all great. Interior (our cottage) was clean, neat and looks like it was just constructed (paint, flooring, tile, bathroom, deco all fresh) even though it's been like this on previous stays. Picnic tables and BBQ's by each unit a plus. Downfalls would be: 1) Needs TV in bedroom. 2) Larger Parking Signs for each unit - had cars parking in our spot all weekend. 3) More seating in living room besides the one couch.

The resort was amazing. It’s like a hidden gem. The staff was amazing and so accommodating. My family ended up booking an extra night because we enjoyed our stay so much! We are definitely going to come back next summer!
