The view of the river & the back patio space was gorgeous. Other than that, there’s not much that justifies the high price. Most of the staff were great but the front desk manager, Colin, was not helpful or friendly.

Didn't like: 1. check in -- didn't like the small luggage carts with no ability to hang clothes. There was a place to hang clothes on the handle but when we tried it our clothes got tangled in the wheels. 2. The soap, shampoo, conditioner in the shower were basically anonymous. The print is almost the same shade as the background on the bottles. Try taking a shower in your facility. 3. The faucet in the sink is poorly designed. It doesn't project far enough into the bowl of the sink. Water splashes everywhere when you try to use it. 4. MOST ANNOYING-- I heard the woman in the coffee shop tell a customer that guests are entitled to one free coffee. However, she charged my husband $4.22 for the coffee. She said we could get it taken off our bill at checkout but there was no one at the front desk. After waiting several minutes, we could not wait any longer and had to leave. We deserve at least our $4.22 back. 5. We recommend that you try spending a night at your own hotel, and then tell us why we would want to return.

From the moment we arrived it was a dream! The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable.This was our 3rd stay at that hotel. We stay for the Packer games. Appleton is a nice city and the hotel is absolutely wonderful! We will be back next year!

Property was fine and convenient; but the staff was prickly. The night manager we unnecessarily gruff with my husband during check in under the guise that he could only deal with me as my name was on the reservation. This has never happened at a Marriott before and I found the position ridiculous and the tone disrespectful.

We loved the huge fire pit that people could gather around later in the day. The Riverwalk was such a bonus—a great advantage over all those hotels located in the much busier areas. We walked it in the evening and again early in the morning—-beautiful.

Comfy bed and pillows, and a quiet part of town made for good sleeping. I always bring my own pillow, but it was not necessary in this case, as the pillows were excellent. Room darkening shades block most light, but bleed-through at the edges meant I still had to use a sleep mask to sleep to 7 or 8 am, as I am super sensitive to light when sleeping. Air conditioning was excellent. Great location on the river with nice patio on the back, and short walk along the river path to Tempest coffee house makes this an awesome place for proximity to one of the best breakfast and coffee places i the city. Shower and bathroom amenities were top-notch. Just a great place all around. Will most likely stay there again next time I'm in Appleton.

Check in was super easy and quick, and the same with checkout. We never heard our neighbors, if we had any. We had a King bed and had plenty of room. Comfortable too.

My only issue was that it was a hassle to order food at the hotel. The cafe was understaffed and the hours were limited. Quality of service not high. No complimentary tea or coffee or even water upon arrival, which I think should be basic hospitality at any hotel. Beautiful hotel, rooms, and location in a lovely town.

The motel was comfortable but a couple of issues stood out. The cost of the room for a one-night stay was $240 all in. I expected that there would be two free, small bottles of water for us. They had two bottles of water there but together they were almost $11. There was one very nice towel for after a shower but the others were extremely small. The HVAC system gives you only two choices for the fan speed; either low or high. We had it on the low and it was still noisy and annoying. It made the air very dry.
