Expedia shall regulate more these offerings . Limited heating and and healthy using kerosene inside the rooms . Total lack of service if you arrive after 8 pm. No towels and no WIFI in an area with very low internet celular service

Beautiful and clean! Slept like a baby. It was offseason and I was the only one there so I can only speak for the room which comes highly recommended.

Let’s put the positives first: there couldn’t be a more jovial, positively minded staff with enormous desire to be helpful. The location is fabulous for SUP, kite and wind surfing fans, since the lake’s surface always stays flat, without a ripple. SUP fans have the ideal conditions in the morning hours, with the constant western wind will come up in the afternoon to the delight of surfers. We are a “mature” couple and albeit we enjoyed the frat atmosphere, we missed a more ample room where we could walk without tripping over our suitcases, or a bathroom with sufficient room to sit down...There’s no restaurant, or anything close to it. There’s communal kitchen, communal refrigerator, communal grill, etc. you are absolutely and completely on your own. Must add that the current management making a sincere effort to improve the conditions. They provide astronomical sessions for the guests, beer tasting, etc. great folks. One last observation: there’s no elevator, but a steep, rocky stairs for you to negotiate with your suitcases.

We stayed at the Hotel Puclaro during our recent trip to Chile to view the eclipse, and had the best time! The hotel is situated in a gorgeous, natural area, and though we are not windsurfers (we can imagine how fabulous this hotel would be if we were) we loved how connected to the outdoors this hotel is. The rooms (called "cubes") are small like advertised but they were big enough for the two of us, and very clean and comfortable with excellent mattresses, luxurious pillows, 100% cotton sheets and gorgeous views of the lake below. We used the shared kitchen which was well organized and fully stocked with basics like coffee, tea, salt, oil, sugar, etc. and enjoyed connecting with other guests in the common areas. We also loved sitting in the hot tub at night and staring at the Milky Way and Southern Cross above. What a treat! The hotel was run by a lovely couple who made sure we had everything we needed, and we are grateful to them for providing us with such a comfortable and memorable stay during our trip. We definitely recommend this hotel if you are looking for an experience that gives you indoor comfort with full connection to the great outdoors. It's a great place to "get away from it all."

Amazing stay at hotel puclaro. This is a gem hidden near the best lake of chile to kite surf. The rooms are super cute, clean and have everything that you need. The vibe is awesome and staff super helpful. We wish we could have stayed longer.

Wonderful little get-away place. Nice, calm and clean. If you like windsurfing or kite surfing, this is the perfect place. We had nice dinner with the nice couple who runs the place and the other guest in the common kitchen. Would love to come back.

We happened upon this Gem of a location!! It sits on the side of a mountain with views of a most amazing Reservoir. You can lay on your bed and watch the kite surfers! The rooms are tiny but very clean. They are meant for only sleeping or resting. There is a delightful kitchen to prepare your own meals with a refrigerator and stove in a common kitchen. We are not kite surfers but they are wonderful to watch! Vicuna, Pisco, and vineyards are nestled in most valleys. The night sky and observatories are a must visit although happen late night early morning hours. Valle de Elqui is a beautiful place, Hotel Puclaro is a compliment to the area!!!! Never had a better view from my room!!!
