Second time staying at the Solitaire hotel during our Thailand trip. First time, we got a room upgrade hence why we lower this review to a "Good" and not "Excellent" as well as not accepting debit cards or American Express for the 2,000 Baht room deposit. We wanted to use the remaining 2,000 Baht during our last few days rather than having it on the day of check out and flying back home. They accept all other credit cards...
Still, it was great. Good spacious room for a Deluxe. Good amenities. Tasty breakfast. Convenient location at the end of Soi 11, so quieter.

I initially was trying to.cancel my reservation because i read the reviews of the place afterwards. What i read was not flattering to this hotel. I wasn't able to cancel and
I already paid and had no choice. But i am glad that i went because the place was kool. I cant complained because i enjoyed my stay. I do feel that the place is pricey but i don't know if that was because i booked last minute.

Staff, pool, room and cleaning perfect. I didn’t rate the location. Always 20/30 minutes from big tourist attractions and walls paper thin!!! If you want to hear other people’s alarm clocks, partying outside, motor bikes, and peoples night activities go ahead and book here

From the first moment to the last, the reception and concierge were great. Firstly, I don't know if it was the front of house or the Hotels.com perk, but we got upgraded to a Suite from our Deluxe Room. Very spacious and slept so well in our king size bed. Very happy with the amenities in the room. Only downside to this review is some TV channels weren't working.
There were options for breakfast and we had a drink at the top of the hotel overlooking views of Bangkok.
Location wise: it's at the end of Soi 11, which is a 5 - 10 minute walk (depending on walking speed) from Nana BTS station. You'll pass all the Western bars and restaurants which get lively at night. Alternatively, it's a 15 minute walk to Asoke BTS / Sukhumvit MRT. Otherwise, if you want to avoid the heat/pollution, taxis and tuk tuks roam the street, but will probably overcharge you for a short trip.
Talking about transport, concierge are more than happy to assist you to go anywhere including our departure to the other side of Bangkok.
We will be back to end our holidays in Thailand at the Solitaire hotel. Hope it's as good as our first stay!

Second time staying here with my partner and both times we’ve had club rooms. We honestly cannot fault the hotel or the service. The private checkin, laundry, and the happy hour makes this such a great value hotel. Location wise it is also perfect for access to the skytrain and walking distance to terminal 21

The room smelled like baby powder, the streets nearby smelled like feces, and it took them over 25 minutes to check us out when we needed to leave to catch a flight. Wouldn’t come back.

Great value, room size and quality in a nice area

This hotel has 2 small buildings. If you book the regular rooms you be put in the back building and you have to walk across the street.
The second building has no pool or restaurant, you will have to get out the building walk across the street every time you want to go to the pool or restaurant for breakfast. Very inconvenient and never mention on the website. And with hot weather or rain it’s going to be very inconvenient. They would not give you a room upgrade, they will tell you if you want an upgrade you have to pay the difference.

An older hotel, the rooms and facilities were in very good condition and the sky lounge was terrific. Good food and fantastic service. The only suggestion I gave them,
put non slip strips in the shower as the floor when wet is outright dangerous. Other than that a fantastic stay

I think the walls are too thin. You can hear your neighbors.

Just very average, nothing to shout about at all. Very limited food and drink options, basic room and amenities. Ok location, in the middle of a manic busy area but good access to food and drink.

We stayed at this hotel for a trip to Thailand with our family of four. We had a comfortable stay thanks to the connecting rooms. We also enjoyed the pool. There was a convenience store nearby, so we had no trouble getting breakfast. However, it was a little far from the nearest station, and walking every day in the heat was a bit tough.

Great staff & luxurious hotel

The hotel was modern, clean, very cool during a hot summer and their deluxe room was super spacious. Front desk was polite and went out of their way to help me contact our taxi company after forgetting a bag in a taxi. The concierge was absolutely amazing (I forgot his name unfortunately, but he always wore a navy suit). He recommended restaurants, spas and tours that were all excellent. I’d love to stay here again when we return to Bangkok!

With its comfortable rooms, value for money, and convenient location near public transit, it’s an ideal choice for both business and leisure travelers.

Great location and please with the installations. Clean and welcoming. Away from Street Noise. Pleasantly surprises as our room was great!

This is my second stay at Solitaire. I stayed one night in transit. Excellent location with plenty of choices to eat. I stayed in their second building across the road (3 min walk, which is ok for one night. The staff helped me with my luggage. However, if you want to use the pool and exercise room, you need to go to the other building.

Great location for atmosphere staff very friendly only issue is the lifts are a bit slow apart from that would highly recommend staying here.
4.0 / 10.0
The Solitaire is a reasonably-priced four star hotel in what is always a very busy area of the city.
Unfortunately, this demand can impact on the hotel and while the staff are exceptional (always willing to help and very friendly) the hotel lifts can be a challenge when so many people are trying to get around the property.
Once the slow and small elevators are successfully negotiated, the rooms are spcaious and comfortable.

the hotel itself was very nice. However, the management were not very helpful after my husband slipped and fell at the pool. The sky lounge staff were absolutely wonderful. Nothing was too much trouble.
