Enjoyed our stay here. Great location and staff.

Hotel Hillarys Akasaka was a good location and choice for the beginning of our stay in Tokyo. Average sized room for Tokyo, not a lot of extra space but sufficient to serve our needs. Staff serviced our room each day and it was very clean. The sink with a long counter was along one wall in the main part of room while the toilet/bidet and shower were in a separate room. A little unusual but having the sink that way did provide more counter space. We opted to include breakfast each morning at their buffet since it was the start of our trip and we still needed to explore the area for other food options. They had a good variety of food choices, some Japanese style and some more American style. Both of us were able to find foods we liked. Hotel is in a good central location, tons of restaurants, conv stores, shipping and pharmacy type stores. The area got busier at night, it seemed like an area the local people visited for dinner. With the Akasaka-mitsuke station just down the street, I think the locals that live in the area exited the station and visited their favorite restaurants before heading home. The front desk staff was awesome. Very attentive, and quick. Answered our many questions with ease. They also shipped our luggage to Kyoto at the end of our stay. They were very experienced with that and it was quick and easy. (The photos were a quick after thought, shortly before checking out, to show room layout. Excuse the messy bed. 😉)

It was all very nice - a staff person had to come and restart our air conditioning as it wouldn’t work when we first got to our room - but it was fine afterwards

Location was perfect
4.3
Nice hotel in a superb location. It's Tokio, don't expect large rooms.
4.3
Absolutely beautiful. I wanted to stay again on my way back but they were fully booked! One of the best places I stayed during my two week trip. Clean, friendly staff, excellent location and new facilities.
4.3
Great area to get to other parts of tokyo, and good for night and food options. Rooms are I would say larger than normal but it's toyko so never gonna be huge. No hesitation to stay again if lucky enough to be back in area. Friendly and helpful staff.
4.3
Nice hotel in heart of Alaskan. Rooms were a bit small (we had twin beds) but you should expect this in Tokyo. Onset was nice, but only the men’s side has a dry sauna, women’s side has only a bath. A few minutes walking to two subway stations. Lots of food options right downstairs. Very good stay overall…if I ever need to be in Alaska’s again this hotel will definitely be considered.
4.3
Nice property, but rooms very small
4.3
Location was perfect. Staff were friendly and spoke English which was helpful. Have good recommendations on where to eat and drink nearby. Rooms were immaculate. Onset on roof was a bonus.
4.3
Very good location. Clean but small room. The staff are nice. Overall this hotel is very nice!
4.3
Easy access to few stations, good ammenities offered and staff was very friendly and helpful!
4.3
This Hotel is located near a subway-station, so you can get everywhere with a short walk. Some supermarkets were only a few steps away, and restaurants or bars are all around.
The staff at the reception is always helpful and speaking english.
Although the rooms are quite little, they are functional. hey are created including a workspace with LAN connection, washbasin with mirror for your morning routine, and a bed (large enough for me). A seperate bathroom with shower & bathtub, and with a toilet is added inside. The rooms were cleaned everyday.
At the 9th floor there are two highlights.
The restaurant where you get breakfast, or if you buy a ticket at the reception, you can have your dinner there.
Second Highlight is the "SPA" with hot water bathtub. This area is strictly seperated (men / women).
Very relaxing...
I liked my stay at Hillarys Akasaka and would recommend this Hotel for short trip travellers ( 14 days aprox).
4.3
The property was in a great location, very convenient to transport. Great restaurants nearby. Rooms are small but that is not uncommon in Japan. Everything was clean and we were looked after well.
4.3
Small room as expected...cute and clean..excellent front desk people...great location..train station was walkable..
4.3
The lit hallways and fun rooms were cute. Sink in the bedroom was a bit odd but still enjoyed the stay. Great little cafe across the street for my Oat milk latte.
4.3
Fantastic location. It’s between three train stations and very central. Staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are small, but clean and beautiful.
4.3
The staff were kind and very helpful. The rooms were immaculate and the spa was nice to have. So many dining options around the area.
4.3
very cute neighborhood. convenient to shopping and good eats. transportation was close by too.
4.3
Loved how close this hotel was to all of the food in the area. Could have something new for every meal and everything around the area was fantastic. Did not like how extra small the rooms were. There was hardly any space for the beds let alone average sized suitcases.
4.3
I loved location, but rooms are so small.
4.3
Good
4.3
The restaurant was super small so you always have to queue outside the restaurant or take out but the problem was that even if you want to take out the breakfast, the food was finish and they didn't refill it fast enough so people started to leave. The rooms were small, could not even open the luggage inside the room. Only good things are the location and the hot spa.
4.3
The hotel itself is amazing, very modern and stylish. The staff was super friendly. However, the rooms are very small, so make sure to choose a room that fits your needs.
4.3
Very small room. Very small breakfast area, and very limited breakfast selection, be prepared to stand in line. Bathroom was too small to fit a zink, so it was placed at the foot of the bed. Not coming back. Reception staff are welcoming and service minded.
4.3
Great interior and design. Even with small rooms, it’s pretty much everything you need.
4.3
Great location
4.3
The only qualm I truly have is that there are only 2 laundry machines for each half of the hotel. Getting it done was a pain since so many people had only 2 machines to use.
4.3
Excellent. Room no smaller than you'd expect for a Tokyo business style hotel. Efficient. Comfort Modern. 9th floor Sento is a highlight. Breakfast buffet simple but full for either Japanese or Western tastes. Good neighborhood, easy access to Metro. Would stay again and again.
4.3
Might be the best budget friendly hotel for what it offers in most of inner Tokyo. Rooms are cleaned daily. They aren’t the biggest rooms but in spots like Shibuya you’ll get less for more. The train lines are close. And there is every type of restaurant right within walking distance of the hotel, from Pizza to Sushi to Ramen. Can’t complain here. Just accept that you may or may not get a room with a window view.
4.3
Very cute and cozy. Convenient location near many good restaurants and very close to two different train lines.
4.3
Simple and clean rooms. Being 6 feet 2 inches tall, I was able to fit under the shower head.
4.3
The hotel was in a very convenient location. Close to train stations, food options, and bars. The room was a normal size for a Japanese hotel and was very clean. The staff were friendly and helpful as well!
4.3
We booked a superior room and it was super tiny. But otherwise the hotel was good.
4.3
The staff were extremely friendly and accomodating
4.3
Rooms are extremely small. Our initial room was so small we couldn’t sleep in the tiny double bed. They eventually gave us a twin room which was still small but much better. But if you travel as a couple don’t book the double bed room, it’s not going to be a stay you’ll enjoy. The public hot bath and sauna are excellent. Breakfast is good. Aircon is good. No natural light in the rooms and the lighting is quite dim. The area is interesting, busy and convenient. Reasonable value overall.
