My husband and I had an amazing time. We only stayed briefly but it was a lovely place, nice and quite, close to downtown. They have an amazing breakfast option, I ended up having to ask where they go some of their breakfast options and have gone out a bought some for myself.

I loved everything about my stay. The inn is gorgeous, the grounds lovely, and that was the most incredible bed I’ve ever slept in. The inn and the room were beautifully appointed and clean. I will be back.

Our room had a bad odor issue. We tried to make the best of it, it was our 10th anniversary and we rarely spend so much on a room so it was pretty disappointing.
The breakfast was great, staff seemed really helpful but we can’t say we would recommend the Gold Glitter room in its current condition.
I work for a property manager so upon arrival seeing the multiple dehumidifiers and odor abatement devices scattered around the unit is a familiar sight for me.
I hope future guests will be made aware of this issue before spending their hard earned money on this room. Wouldn’t it best to take the room offline and fix the underlying cause?
Thanks.

We had a great stay for six days while at a conference. The staff was very accommodating and the room was clean. We loved the decor throughout and appreciated the many little touches like 24 hour snack cupboard and a mini-fridge where guests could stow beverages. We hope to come back again and have recommended to several friends.

Great hotel very friendly .

The home and common areas are lovely, especially the gorgeous solarium where we enjoyed a delightful and artfully presented breakfast. The rooms were spotlessly clean and beautifully maintained, as were the lovely gardens. Our complaint was with our room #14 on the third floor in the rafters with hardly room enough for two people to move about comfortably. Additionally, despite the assistance of our host on arrival, wrestling with our luggage down two flights of stairs on departure was difficult as well as a safety issue. However, we enjoyed our stay and would love to have had a longer visit in a different room...thank you!

Our room smelled like cat urine. the small old in window air conditioner did nothing to cool our room. the amount of text messages sent was over the top. I would not stay here again.

We liked the property it was really beautiful, with surprises in every nook and cranny. Grace was a lovely host and was very lovely helping us find things to see and explore.

This is a very cute property. You feel like you were staying in someone’s home. Very comfortable.

Loved the architecture and interior design. Breakfast was sadly bland.

Beautiful property with the best amenities we've ever encountered (except the lack of a television)....snacks, drinks, coffee. The hosts were very friendly and responsive, and our room was lovely...would definitely recommend the first floor room we had. It was walkable for us, but it may be a little far from the downtown for others. Highly recommended.

Wanted to like it and the pictures seemed charming, but this place was a disaster. Pillows were disgusting and smelled dirty. Tub had lots of body hair, apparently from a prior guest’s “grooming” that wasn’t cleaned. Sheets were tired. No TV, mediocre breakfast… and all at exorbitant rates. The whole place felt a bit shabby and big ripoff at the high rates. Do not stay here!

It was beautiful, and clean. The staff was very friendly and loved the complimentary coffee and baked goods. The design of the room was great. Very safe neighborhood and a solid 15 minute walk into the waterfront area. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice location close to UVM campus-- walkable in nice weather. Staff was nice but I found sort of hard to know what to do once inside. Never having gone to a Bed and breakfast place before. Water and coffee hard to get in evening. Beautiful solarium room.
Our room was clean, great decor, but weirdly light bulbs missing in the sconce lighting in bedroom and bathroom. Fireplace switch was so hard to find to turn off we had to Call maintenance. ( not the first one to do it so why not make it easier with a dab of paint?)
The breakfast spread looked impressive but did not get a chance bc my uvm student had other plans for breakfast.
Would stay again. Parking was full up when we were there, may be an issue if house is full. If

What a beautiful hotel. Close to all the downtown shops and restaurants. Clean. Comfortable. Large rooms. Breakfast was amazing. Just what we needed before heading to a long day of graduation activities.

A very comfortable inn. The rooms are very nicely appointed. The breakfast spread was great. The public rooms are very comfortable to hang out in. It was nice that we could get water or snacks or coffee or tea whenever we wanted. Staff members all seemed very nice.

stayed 2 nights -chose the room “forever tomgirl” loved the room but it faces a main street so you can hear the cars passing through. i still would have stayed in this room in spite of the noise because it’s roomy and very well decorated and comfortable. the breakfast and 24 hrs snack in the pantry is a plus and the views inside the sun room is spectacular and breathtaking

Beautiful, elegant old Mansion property, with excellent , friendly staff, plenty of amenities, awesome views (from our room, the Treehouse). Comfortable, quiet and convenient to downtown, UVM & Champlain campuses. Only open a short time so far so a couple of bugs to work out, which likely vary by room (like no in-room climate control or closet/wardrobe in ours), but nothing to fret about. Highly recommended.

The inn is a beautiful old Victorian with high ceilings and a gorgeous conservatory where you can eat breakfast. Hosts were all very nice. Breakfast was expanded Continental- breads, scones, yogurt, fresh fruit, prosciutto, lox, cheese. Room had a wonderful view of trees and Lake Champlain. Furniture was mostly elegant but then there were wooden chairs covered with graffiti, which really clashed. The side tables next to the bed were also modern- looked like dripping metal off the sides. This was right next to handsome burgundy wing chairs. Some of the floors had been sanded to a nude color, next to all the dark brown wood of the staircase. The new railings on the staircase had been neither painted nor sanded, which was a shame. Overall very good but the modern furniture and and paintings were disconcerting.
