Nice stay. Easy to check-in

Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. The bedding in my room was not clean with other peoples hair all over it. Moved to another room and that one was just as bad with snot on the walls and stains all over the carpet as well as holes filled in the walls with filler but not sanded and painted. Horrible!
3.6
Not bad at all apart from the £100 deposit and needing to go home for photo ID to confirm booking.... never had to show ID before or pay deposit
3.6
Firstly I was charged a £100 deposit which I was not made aware of before I booked, It’s been 4 weeks since I stayed and the deposit still hasn’t been refunded, The main office actually says they have no record of me staying. The room was dated and a little scruffy, Stains on the curtains and the tv didn’t work. The hotel lobby wasn’t up to scratch at all, The receptionist was ignorant and not very friendly at all. I will not be staying with citilodge ever again, I’m not even sure if I will use hotels.com again.

Room was excellent value for money. Disappointing that no shower gel or shampoo provided but not the end of the world. Mattress very thin but other than those things all good.
3.6
Lights where missing in the bathroom over the mirror .

I mean for budget accommodation it’s okay. I wasn’t expecting 5 star treatment for the money I paid.
The room I had provided an electric jug for making tea but they didn’t put cups. We were using mc Donald’s plastic cups- we had bought drinks earlier.
The toilet had a brownish colour looked like poo.
But I am thankful I had a place to sleep for those nights
3.6
First room I was offered had a bad smell of stale cigarettes.
Second room was in a bad state of repair.
I didn’t ask to look at another room and I left.
I was amazed later when I was told I wouldn’t be getting a refund

Shower was not working properly. No power points around the bed. Mould under the shower in the silicon. A fridge would be nice

Shabby & felt unsafe - not recommended & wouldn't stay here again.
I'm a business traveller as work in Wakefield two/three days a week, and this is probably one of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in.
I paid £45/night and was due to stay two nights, but decided to leave after one night and lose the price paid for the second night. Didn't even try to complain, as I'm sure it would be pointless.
Positives: daily housekeeping, accessible location, price reasonable, microwave & small fridge available, free all day parking (although it'd be good if they advised of that rather than mislead guests saying there's no parking).
Negatives: where to start! No soap in bathroom so had to go to a local supermarket to buy soap before I could use it, tired & shabby decor, room in 3rd floor without lift (which was interesting, given I've recently had keyhole knee surgery & had quite a bit of luggage), difficult receptionist who made me walk 30 mins to my car & back as she wouldn't check me in without ID & wouldn't budge until I threatened to write a complaint, very dodgy-looking people in the lobby & around the outside, felt unsafe in case of a fire.

Very noisy hotel. Walls paper thin.

Terrible. Had booked 2nights. Did not stay one night. Checked into another hotel.
Upon arrival we were informed that the hotel is housing the homeless and a drug rehab centre. We were greeted with a lot
3.6
Scruffy room. Broken tiles in bathroom. Clumps of hair in towels. Broken toilet seat
3.6
The customer service was shocking I absolutely love this hotel stayed a few times now and never had a problem till today I got someone who didn't know what they was doing and the security guard was been funny when I went to check in because the girl on desk didn't know what she was doing and he was trying to help but got a little man when I tried showing my email that I had booked through hotels.com

Felt like I was paying to stay in a halfway house.

Good stay clean room friendly staff could not do enough for us
3.6
Too much noise at night could hear people shouting and running around . Had disabled daughter with us and felt unsettled .
3.6
Arrived at the premises and a broken down vehicle was blocking parking spaces. Staff on arrival we're very friendly. The rooms were run down and in need of decoration. Everything seemed clean enough. Bathroom also needed attention. Overall not impressed with my stay

Terrible hotel. Resembles a DHSS hostel. Paid £200 for a room as it was literally the only hotel within 10 miles of the city that had availability. The room was worth about £30 at most.
Room felt dirty, furnishings very tired, walls stained, bathroom poor. Cannot give it any positives. Avoid at all costs.
3.6
The room was musky and felt like it had not had a window opened in days (even though the window was partially open). The muskiness lingered. I slept very badly, and started to itch through the night. I woke up with a skin rash which has since developed all over the body

Room was dirty, lift did not work and the double glazing was ineffective. Staff werw pleasant and efficient though and took Covid regulations seriously.
3.6

It was ok the bathroom needs to be cleaned everyday

The hotel was nice and staff were nice to but we couldn’t get the heating to work until we were coming home but only was there 1 night
3.6
Should have signs saying as we have guests kindly have consideration to keeping noise down to the minimum or something to that affect

Fantastin price, friendly, clean hotel in the centre of wakefield
3.6
Close to shopping and plenty of restaurants. The price we paid it was well worth it. Been in a lot or hotels in my life this was great. I would have liked a closing statement.
3.6
Property was an excellent price. My only complaint would be that I requested wifi 3 times, twice over the phone and once in person at the desk. I was informed it would automatically connect however it didn’t. This meant that although I called customer service they were reluctant to provide the wifi web page over the phone, forcing me to make another trip (third) trip down to the reception who kindly put it in my phone. However I felt that this was a lot of time wasting. I’m not sure why nobody would tell me the wifi web page to begin with. Instead 20 minutes of time wasting wondering up and down the stairs and calling the unhelp customer service desk occurred.
3.6
Clean, comfortable room. Tea and coffee provided in room, with microwave and fridge. Good shower. Would be good if breakfast was available.
3.6
Located in the city centre but with little traffic noise. Helpful staff. Pleasant stay.
3.6
Twin room with only one functional bed. Other bed when sat on, almost fell to the floor.
A functional room with the worst see-through curtains imaginable.
3.6
Very easy to
Find an escort so I’m happy about that
3.6
Central location for a budget hotel. Bit noisy internally but acceptable
3.6
bed was shabby the room door didn't shut right but everything was okay...but for price wasn't worth it.
