The facility was average, bed was too hard for us, and the pool area was really dirty.
4.3
We had a mouse in our room eating a bag of unopened chips.
Every night, someone smoking outside weed filling our room withe the smell of smoke.
4.3
Hotel Don Fernando is clean, quiet and comfortable. Would stay again.
4.3
It was great

We weren't able to check in until almost 8pm so we had to stay in the lobby until then. They comped some drinks for us while we wait but we'd driven all day and had to wait almost 5 hours after normal check in time. And, all the ice makers in 4 buildings were not functioning so we had to walk to the office to get ice (5 buildings away).

Beautiful upgrades here at the Don Fernando since I last stayed here. Comfy bess. Highly recommended!
4.3
Nice hotel with very friendly staff.

The stay was fine. I was surprised that, since I booked through a third party my Hilton Rewards were not honored. That would make me think twice when booking the next time...
4.3
For a Hilton hotel, they did not the toiletries in the room so we could not take a shower. When we brought it up, they didn’t have anything to say. They should have given us a discount on the room rate but they didn’t care
4.3
Good Taos atmosphere. Great breakfast and restaurant staff. Room condition needs improvement. A lot of “patch work” temporary repairs in need of full reconditioning.

Stayed one night. Thought it would be a nice hotel due to the Hilton name and reputation. We were wrong, worst hotel of our 5 night trip and was really overpriced. The first thing that we noticed when we got to our room was that you could see daylight all around the door. It looked warped, almost like someone had tried to kick it in. The interior of the hotel room reminded me a cheap 1970's apartment minus the kitchen. Everything was tired, and the TV leaned so far forward on it's stand that we were afraid to touch it for fear it would fall over. Also, there was a rat trap outside our window., and the AC unit was super loud. We relayed the issues to the front desk when we checked out, and they were not concerned. Would not recommend, and Hilton should be embarrassed to have their name attached to this property.
4.3
Spacious, comfortable, very clean room and bathroom.

Check in was fine and first impression of room was good until sitting on bed. Realized headboard was loose and banging on the wall. Was not attached so we moved it away. Later in evening when getting ready for bed I captured a bug walking across a pillow. This was my first experience of something like this and I was shocked! My husband tried calling front desk but phone was unplugged. Plugged it in and doesn’t work! Called on cell phone and no answer four times! So husband took bug to front desk and was informed it was a local tree bug. Made me feel a little better because I was ready to leave but it was late and raining. Front desk gave us two free breakfast for inconvenience. Whoopee! I definitely did not sleep due to you know… Also the toilet ran off and on all night so that did not help. For being a Hilton hotel it needs help. Not impressed.
4.3
The staff was extremely friendly and competent. The wait staff seemed to be understaffed at the bar and restuarant. Our bed was too soft and the facility is a bit outdated. Otherwise, we had a great time.
4.3
Very nice hotel. Would be nice if handicapped rooms were more adjacent to the main hotel.
Everything in excellent condition.
4.3
Our room did not have a shower curtain. Also the ice machine was not working.
4.3
This was not a place I would return with so many other good options. We came because of the pool and the Hilton name. But the pool was in need of work - mortar falling off, inside a very hot patio, noisy fan, doors to the outside that won’t open. And this is not on par with Hilton brand name - the room was fine but smelled musty, lobby bathroom smelled terrible, no fan in the very hot workout room, and the room itself needed additional cleaning (lots of hair - on the chairs, in the corners, and in the drawers). Plus we had to repeatedly ask for things that should have been done automatically (housekeeping between 8-3, enough towels for guests, hand soap, an unlocked safe). We won’t be back.
4.3
Not the best place to stay. The carpets were not clean, I went to all of the ice machines and they were all broken. Walked to all of them. The laundry area was also out of service. Sent a message through the Hilton app and was never answered.
4.3
Tv remote not working
Very limited channels to watch mostly infomercials
Telephone not working

Our stay was very comfortable. I slept late. Something I haven't done in a long time.
Staff was very helpful and friendly.
4.3
A beautiful hotel -- the lobby offers tasteful southwestern style including a waterfall. The room was very large and comfortable with a huge-screen TV, and a large window with two different window shades. One lighter, and one heavier to block all outdoor light.
The bathroom was attractive and roomy. Easy access to all rooms; you're either on the ground floor or one floor up. I heard no sounds from the other rooms.
The staff were friendly, polite, and helpful. And the heated indoor pool is huge, very clean and up-to-date. I had a great time swimming there.
This is wonderful place to stay if you're exploring Taos, especially if you prefer to be near the art galleries, and not too far from the Pueblo.
The only thing that surprised me was the food in their restaurant. The wait staff were friendly and attentive, but the breakfast was not at all worth the money.
The potatoes were black and brittle from being re-heated over too many mornings. The eggs were undercooked, the bacon clearly "cooked" in the microwave, which ruins it. The English muffin was a generic wheat brand with no flavor, barely toasted.
I would never return to that restaurant, even though I do plan to stay at the hotel again. Next time I'll go to one of the many breakfast cafes in town that Trip Advisor recommends.
Otherwise, a really wonderful stay!
4.3
Our only issues were the heat light in the bathroom wasn't working.
The restaurant menu has changed from the website.
We chose to eat dinner elsewhere

I should have trusted the reviews. Surprised this is a Hilton. Rooms are very worn. I killed probably 5 bugs every day in the room. The room also had a very strange unpleasant smell. Only one person working the front desk every time we went in. Waited 30 minutes to check in after a 10 hour drive with 3 kids. Ice machine didn’t work and sign that said to go to the bar but no one there.
4.3
The pillows were lumpy and needed to be replaced. The room had not been cleaned well (the carpet was not vacuumed, and there was debris on the back of the bathroom door). I hate to nitpick, but there are certain things that should never be overlooked, especially shared rooms. The pool area did not have any towels, which was surprising. The staff was mostly friendly and accommodating (we were able to check in two hours early), and the location was great, but the cleanliness was far from what is to be expected from any hotel, let alone a Hilton.
4.3
I like the apartment like hotel rooms. With courtyards and a great pool.
4.3
The staff was friendly and went out of the way to accept our stay. I will come back!

We arrived an hour after check-in time on a Friday evening and our room wasn’t ready yet. We were asked to wait another hour for it to be cleaned, taking us to 6:00 pm. I asked for a free drink at the bar as compensation while we waited, and after checking with a mgr., our front desk person agreed. The lobby bar served us tasty margaritas.
We noticed the room wasn’t too clean during our stay. I found a partial candy wrapper on the floor, and a used towel in a far corner of the bathroom’s ample under-sink shelf area.
That said, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was roomy with lots of counter and storage space. The bathroom appeared to have been renovated more recently than did the room, which had dark brown pattern carpet that looked like it hadn’t been scrubbed for a while.
There were generous room amenities, including a microwave, coffee maker, and refrigerator, which we appreciated. The room itself was large with plenty of room between two queen size beds. There was also a small table with two comfortable chairs and a big TV.
If only it were clean, it would have been a nice room.
There was also a separate glass-enclosed building that contained an attractive indoor pool, which we didn’t try, but had quite a few children playing in upon our arrival. The next morning, there wasn’t a soul in sight.

Brkfst was okay but was not all included in Expedia rate. Phone from room was not working. The hotel closes restaurant at 1pm.
4.3
The room was very clean and quiet. Grounds are beautiful. We did however have a few issues. There was no conditioner in the shower and the lotion was rancid.
We ate in the restaurant twice. The first morning was great. Loved our waitress (Ginny or Jenny). The second morning we ordered the heuvous rancheros hash. It was awful and should be removed from the menu

Enjoyed our stay…
4.3
Great place to stay with an absolutely HUGE pool!! Pickleball/tennis court was a nice treat!! Other than no complimentary coffee, i thoroughly enjoyed my stay!!
4.3
The photo gallery appears to have a restaurant but has only a few snacks served from behind the bar for dinner. Breakfast was fine.
4.3
The hotel is nice. However, the bar restaurant was not always open. It was only open for breakfast.
4.3
We asked the staff if we could please have a room away from the busy, noisy intersection and the tennis court. They said this was the room we booked and we couldn't change. We did not book that specific room nor building and we had a miserable stay.
4.3
Nice, clean, and "different" property with SW architecture and decor. Easy access, nice room, good breakfast selection and service.
4.3
This was the worst Hilton Property I have ever stayed. Under staffed long waits at checkin.
Management could care less and was unresponsive to a key issue with room.
Ice machines all out of service had to walk to front desk and wait to get ice.
Lounge closed.
No complementary coffee.
Beds are worse than military cots very low to the floor and sheets like sandpaper.
Outdoor patio off main building had furniture strewn and certainly was nothing like the pictures
Attractive on the outside and lobby but it ends there.
Breakfast only is served at the on sight restaurant and is way over priced.
I have never ever given any hotel I have ever stayed at such a bad review. I was clearly told by staff that Hilton Tapestry hotels are not Hilton properties and are independently operated. So beware! I will never book another.

Was a little run down and I would say needs better cleaning and stocking the room with to

Fake Hilton - I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a hotel that left much to be desired. From the moment I checked in, it was clear that this was not going to be a pleasant stay. The staff was rude and unhelpful, showing little concern for the guests' comfort and satisfaction. When I tried to address my concerns with the management, I was met with indifference and a dismissive attitude. Overall, my experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing and I would not recommend it to anyone.

when i got there to check in they said they overbooked and sent me to another hotel, Why couldn't they send someone else to another hotel? I was looking forward to a stay there, n
