A most beautiful hidden gem in Bora Bora. Mr Yrondi, an avid artist who lives on the premise, has designed a gorgeous Mediterranean-style villa adorned by his beautiful paintings and sculptures. If you are tired of commercial hotels, try this little nugget.

This Villa is a special place with a lovely host. We enjoyed the breakfast option and made use of the decent bikes to go to Matira beach. Sunset from the terraces was amazing. We liked the indoor/outdoor living while still using Air Con in the bedroom when needed. There’s an elite restaurant just down the driveway- book well in advance.

Villa Yeondi is filled with character and charm. Our suite was spacious and comfortable and we particularly enjoyed our terrace. It was lovely to eat breakfast surrounded by flowers while taking in the incredible view. Valerie was wonderful and helped us iron out travel complications and arranged a snorkeling trip that was the highlight of our stay on the island.

This is an exceptionally beautiful Villa. Our room had a beautiful deck and the walls were covered with beautiful paintings from the Villa's proprietor and a kitchen. We loved using the bikes to get to Vaitape for groceries, and to get to the Matira beach for snorkeling, and to circumambulate the island. Valerie, the hotel host, helped us retrieve a laptop from another island and enrolled us in a snorkeling tour, for which we were grateful!

Beautiful property in a spectacular location. Valerie, our host, was absolutely wonderful.

Unparalleled views from the roof deck, super friendly staff: Valerie could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Free use of bicycles made for easy daily trips to Matira beach or up to Viatape. Great for longer stays, each room has a fully functional kitchen.

Villa Yrondi was the perfect place for me to be. I stayed 3 weeks. Valerie and Garrick are outstanding people and made me feel at home. I was looking for tranquility and inspiration which was found in every moment. Bring good shoes and utilize the bikes to get back and forth to town and the beach. I rented a car for a day to get groceries so I could stock up and cut down on my commuting time. The jet skiing was one on my favourite activities, if you’re going to hike the volcano make sure to find the natural water falls to refill your water bottle.
Bora Bora is a very unique place when your eyes are open.

Amazing property for a vacation

The service from Paulina and Valerie was top notch, property was beautiful and clean, beds were comfortable, only improvement would be to have some fans to use instead of aircon, otherwise was a wonderful stay and would return in future

Amazing location 😍 everything has been perfect!

This guest house has some wonderful qualities. Valerie was indispensable in helping us with everything from dinner reservations to getting an umbrella. The breakfast and patio are beautiful. The bed is comfortable and there is plenty of space in the bathroom. For some reason there was a smell in the toilet. Grounds are nice and location is good. Unless you want to bike you will need a car.

Villa Yrondi's apartments are not the most functional (the shower and bathroom taps lack of water pressure) but it is very charming and authentic, with great view. Staff is helpful although not always on-site. You definitely need a car to drive around.

It’s a beautiful building with a beautiful view. The staff work hard to make sure everything is perfect. The room is large and the bed is very comfortable. We slept like babies.

BEWARE of this property. My stay at Villa Yrondi in Bora Bora was an unfortunate letdown. The reality was a far cry from the outdated images listing, creating an unwelcome sense of a bait-and-switch.
The villa was neglected, with dirt and scuff marks on the walls of the room and scum visibly accumulated in the shower and the bathroom had dirty doors. The outdoor furniture was in a state of disrepair, and the pool disappointingly small. Even indoors, the lamp in our room was broken, old coiled cables hiding in the stained drapes, the blanket had cigarette burns and the kitchen had an unlockable window directly connected to a disorganized storage room providing a sense of insecurity and the general state of the property further emphasizing the lack of maintenance.
Despite raising complaints, both Villa Yrondi and Expedia provided no satisfactory resolution or refund. In short, my supposed paradise getaway felt more like a ruse. Prospective visitors, tread carefully - this is one case where the reality doesn't match the advertising. I do not know why Expedia would label this exceptionally clean. I have photographs of all these items, BEWARE!

A disappointing experience overall. The location, views and overall ambiance of the property are pleasing. However it is by no means a four star property as advertised. Our apartment (Sacristie) was in much need of repair. We had no hot water after our first night and the bathroom was dank and unventilated. Towels smelled sour after one use. Light fittings were broken. No peace - during daylight hours we were surrounded on 3 sides by shouting and slamming doors. There is no swimming pool. We did not know about the terrace. We were told that upstairs is the owner’s private residence. Not value for money. We have stayed at six properties in French Polynesia in the AUD 270 - 330 range. Villa Yrondi was by no means the cheapest but was the least pleasant. We were relieved to move to Royal Bora Bora which is the same price but a world away in terms of comfort and professionalism

Staff was very nice. Property is extremely dated and needs extensive work. There is no pool, more like a water feature. We never received fresh towels or room cleaning even thiugh we asked. Wifi is not good.

To say the room was old, rundown, dingy, and alive with bugs would be an understatement. We did not see the other rooms, so maybe they were nice. Ours was not. I ended up sick with a bad ear infection, so I spent a lot of time sleeping in the room. Ants, cockroaches, spiders, and centipedes joined me. The owner was helpful telling me where the drs.office was and how to see her. Justine was helpful too. However, cleaning is done every 2 days, 3 if cleaning day falls on a Sun. Cleaning meant a light sweep of the dead bugs, making the dirty bed, and she gave us new towels as ours were pretty bad after my 2 day fever. Would have loved clean sheets. The pool looks to be a converted fountain, calling it a pool is generous. The sliding door to the outside just hangs there with no type of seal from outside critters, the entry into the bathroom is a accident waiting to happen, almost twice to each of us. There is about a 1 1/2" rise and the door is right next to the shower so water goes everywhere, and if you forget the rise, down you'll go! The area is up a hill, past some extremely rundown homes. So if you want to go ANYWHERE it will cost $20 each way and an extra $10 if the taxi waits for you while you run in the store. $20 to the beach, unless you walk the 1.6 miles. We ended up leaving before our reservation was up as we couldn't take the cockroaches anymore or the A/C that barely cooled down the room. The $34 breakfast was basically bread, fruit, yogurt & coffee. Good luck!

The staff was nice, but the room didn't really seem worth the price. I understand that Bora Bora is more expensive than other destinations, but I would have expected a nicer and cleaner room for the price.

Overall it is what it is. I think it is a beautiful property that needs a lot of attention. I wished it was cleaner when we stayed. At least I wished there was a bloom in my room so I can clean it myself. The lady there was nice she let us check out an hour late. No one was there, if you need anything you need to text or call which was fine .Watch out for spiders, mosquitoes, and centipedes they were everywhere in the room when we stayed. If you don't use to a tropical environment, you might easily have a heart attack from those bugs.

Good view of the mountain and the bay.
Poor car maneuverability when there are more than one car in the parking lot. Poor bathroom, kitchen, lighting. Air conditioning is week and cannot keep the room temperature below 27 deg C. Breakfast is substandard.

Very seasoned travelers’ review/notes…
A super cool, artist’s, unique, creative design of a Villa with 6 (?) rooms/apartments. So much potential! Like everywhere else in Bora Bora, has great views (no waterfront access).
Facility needs attention!
Our bathroom door was trashed.
Cob webs abound, not so clean - especially bathroom urine odor.
Loud neighbor (Gaurd?) dogs immediately next door to villa entry (and roosters)!
Dust on lamps, pictures etc.
The pool… is simply tiny (2 person).
Bed light not working on one side.
Wall paint dirty.
6000 VIP credit was NOT honored - one time 3400 breakfast instead.
No hot water at kitchen sink.
Wi-Fi is essentially unusable.
Great continental breakfast if ordered.
Roberta (our first host) was wonderful AND accommodated an early checkin!
They don’t seem to be around (only 10am-12pm unless someone is coming or you call).
This place is reasonably priced but needs attention to be recommended.

Supportive staff, although some information was incorrect (restaurants, hikes, etc. that were inaccessible). Easy to communicate, information given in a timely manner. Nice views, easy parking, clean room. Very slow, inconsistent WiFi.

The Villa provided us with a wonderful home on the road on Bora Bora. What a unique setting, and rambling residence that has a balcony view of the bay that is excellent for the AM coffee and breakfast. We enjoyed coming back to our suite after a full day of adventure ... service was excellent!

Great views and great host! They helped us with our booking and it was very helpful. Justine was fantastic.

Its a run down house converted into a few rooms. Our "room" was a terrace converted to a "room". It had a door but it was a terrace so it was open from the side. Anyone could easily climb into our room. The bedroom did not have a door, just curtains and the living room was open-literally open- to the outside. We had big spiders, tons of mosquitoes and lizards in our bedroom. The landlady said that it was normal to have insects and reptiles in the room and even "Four Seasons has them in their rooms" which was pretty hilarious. There is no safety from animals or strangers as it is completely open. There were supposedly 2 "bedrooms" but the other one was locked so two of us spent the night on one twin bed. There is no one in the office except check in time to help you or answer your questions. We had a tiny little bottle of shampoo for a 4 person room and no way to get extra. Most of the pictures shown on hotels.com are of the outside, very few of the room itself and none of the bathroom which is horrible. There is no fan or ac in the living room.We were booked for 2 nights but we left after the first night. We were scared to stay there. We could not pay cash at check out as the office is always closed. we sent a message to the landlady via hotels.com to send us a payment link. Before we could pay she called us and threatened to call the police on us as if we had refused to pay. She showed no courtesy and did not even discount our stay. A Motel6 is 100 times better than this place

Super friendly and helpful staff!

Great place to experience something different than the resorts and visit Bora Bora at an affordable price. The owner is very friendly and invited us to visit his studio on the top floor. We rented the maestro room which is very spacious and provides great views of the bay and the mountains. There is restaurant conveniently located at the bottom of the hill, but reserve well ahead of your arrival if you want a table as it's very popular.

We had a great stay at the Villa Yrondi and Laura was a great host.

Elegant old world style villa aged like a great wine and showcasing beautiful art. Fabulous views of Otemanu and Pahia as well as the lagoon. Enjoy relaxing on the terraces and the enclosed courtyard and pool area. Spacious rooms with kitchens and private outdoor spaces. Host Laura is delightful and accommodating. Love this place!

We enjoyed our stay with the ocean and mountain views. And, the breakfast was fabulous. Laura was friendly and helpful. The suite we stayed in was a little dirty. The shower and bath tub was dusty and we had toclean it before use, otherwise, it was an enjoyable stay with all the artwork.

This stay was one of a kind & felt like home - since you’re staying in an artist’s home! The decor had incredible detail and you are surrounded by original art. The view of the bay was gorgeous. The terrace is relaxing. Our contact was incredibly helpful with suggestions and making arrangements.

Myself, daughter and son-in-law enjoyed our 4 night stay at this unique property. It truly is a converted villa - spacious private units with some common areas - pictures are accurate. Lauren, our host, was very helpful. For this location it does help to have a car though restaurants will pick you up. Recommend if you’re looking for something different...

Villa Rea Hanaa is a beautiful and unique property in a tranquil setting. Laura was very welcoming and helpful. We stayed in the Maestro, which exceeded our expectations - spacious with breathtaking views. Stopped at SuperU for breakfast food (we ate lunch and dinner out). Nearby restaurants will offer to pick you up and drive you back. A memorable stay, especially appealing if you don’t like big resort hotels.
