Crew is kind and they has good heart

San Boutique is well situated in the Old Quarter. The staff are very welcoming and provide a lot of local recommendations, and the rooms are lovely!
4.5
Good value for money. It was a little noisy if other travelers walked around the hotel or we could hear the elevator. But may be our problem as well since we could not clpse the window

A two night stay in a triple room. Comfortable beds reasonable size with a balcony. Some hot water issues. Staff were great. Special mention for Cara, she is an absolute delight and made our stay a pleasure. Long, the doirman went above and beyond to assist.
The hotel is very conveniently located but that does mean a little noise at night. Breakfast was very good.

The team is amazing! Makes you feel welcomed. I'm not a bug fan of white lights which the room as a bit of them here and there otherwise I feel that it's a great location. For price wise, I would suggest this to be the range of SGD 70-80.

The staff was incredible Kylie, Levi, Heidi, Jerry, Kevin and the young lady's name in the breakfast area...they could not have been more accommodating, or more of a pleasure to deal with.

San Boutique Hotel was a great spot to stay during our visit to Hanoi. The location is great being on a quieter street just off the main roads around Hoan Kiem Lake, you can’t hear the horns, etc. nearly as much as other hotels we stayed at in Hanoi, but close enough we had a peek-a-boo view of the lake from our balcony. Ms. Zoey and the staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering the same quality, but a bit more of a personal touch to interactions compared to an earlier stay at the Sofitel Metropole. They shared some great recommendations for food and activities around the city. If you’re looking for cachet and history, stay at Sofitel Metropole, if you’re looking for value and to be treated like family, stay at San Boutique Hotel. Will definitely stay again and recommend to friends looking for a place to stay in Hanoi’s old quarter! P.S. breakfast was delicious!

Even before we arrived in Vietnam we received a message from Zoey at the San saying hi and asking if there’s anything we needed and if we needed a taxi organised from the airport. When we arrived at the hotel we were met with a warm welcome. The hotel is in a great position, it’s clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. But the staff were exceptional. Big thank you to Zoey and Kylie for all their help. I wouldn’t even think of staying anywhere else if I came to Hanoi again.

Amazing customer service. Love it!

The hotel is ideally placed, smack in the centre of the old town, while still remaining calm and quiet.
The staff treated us great, and always welcomed us with a smile and the offer to help with whatever we might need. Charlie, Kylie and their team all made the experience great!

great stay with great experiences. Hotel staffs are beyond expectations and really helpful friendly.
Great location.

Absolutely amazing! The hotel is very nice and in a perfect location. What really makes this place special are the people who work there. I’ve never felt so welcomed. They are so helpful and kind. Charlie got me setup on the most amazing tour and was available if I needed anything. Kylie took time out of her day to create a list of things to do and places to eat and walked me to an ATM on my first day. Jerry always greeted me with such enthusiasm and kindness carrying my bag for me up to my room and even bringing me some hot tea after a long day in the evening. Levi gave me a ride on his motorbike to help me make a spa appointment. Zoey always greeted me and asked about my day when I would come back from a day of exploring. The entire team at the San Hotel made me feel like a part of their family and I will always remember them! I can not thank them enough.

The location of La Paix couldn’t be more perfect! It’s so close to everything - Hoan Kiem Lake, the bustling Old Quarter...yet despite its proximity to all of the business of Hanoi, the hotel is QUIET at night! We slept soundly every night while still being steps away from all of the major attractions, which is hard to find in this area.
Rooms were clean, spacious - not huge, but not small - and comfortable.
Breakfast was wonderful - several made-to-order options every morning. Not a huge selection at the buffet unless you got there first thing in the morning, but we preferred our made-to-order over a buffet style anyway.
Also outstanding, the staff. So friendly, attentive, and gracious. Really went above-and-beyond to make sure we were comfortable and offered fantastic recommendations from restaurants to tours. They also all spoke English, which I certainly didn’t expect but this was so helpful. Thank you so much! Lovely stay!

Great location to the core of old Hanio city center. Great restaurants near by. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great size rooms.

This hotel is run by nice and welcoming people. The location is great. The issue my wife and I had was that we were given room 303 which was tiny compared to the much nicer and larger rooms which my family members enjoyed. I am a light sensitive sleeper and I could not block out the light coming in our window from the adjoining stairwell. My tip is do not take room 303!

Due to the building structure, rooms smell and especially the toilet. Creaky beds too. Breakfast was nothing to shout about. Decent location though.

Very nice boutique hotel in a genuinely excellent location. We had a room with a balcony on a higher floor, which was absolutely great for watching the buzz and hum of the city below. We also very much appreciated the service, which was impeccable. The breakfast wasn't great. They were clearly trying to serve a variety of items that would appeal to guests from all over the world who inevitably have very different ideas about what qualifies as breakfast fare. It's a fairly small hote, though, which meant some days the couple of items that appealed to me were basically all eaten up by the time I got down to breakfast; other days they remained completely untouched, and consequently un-replenished, which resulted in them seeming stale and unappetizing (who want's to eat scrambled eggs that have been sitting in a steam tray for three hours). But other than that I genuinely enjoyed my stay and would certainly recommend the property to others.

This is my first time staying at this hotel. I would give it a 5-star for the following reasons: The hotel is just remodeled with modern theme, architecture, and decoration. Its location is very convenience to Hoan Kiem Lake, weekend night market and practically everything. The hotel is fronting a very clean street and relatively quiet. The room is clean with clean sheets, pillowcases, blankets, and towels. The a/c, hot and cold water worked really well. I would absolutely come back again and recommend it to anyone who is looking for the best place in Ha Noi.

I stayed at this hotel the first week of Oct 2019 for 4 nights. My room was 202. It was a pleasant stay. I would rate this hotel for 5 stars. Here are the reasons of my rating.
Staff: Front desk staff were very friendly. Always greeting me with a smile. They were helpful when asking for any information. Housekeeping did good job of cleaning daily. The floor in my room was spotless.
Room: I had a 2 twin beds room. Room was nice and clean with good lighting. It looked exactly like in the pictures. AC worked fine. Even my room had a balcony that faced to the street but I did not hear the street noise at night at all. Breakfast was served on the 9th floor, small room but had enough foods to fill you up to start a day. Staff refilled foods quickly. Beside the buffet, they also had noodle soups and eggs made to order daily but they did not post any signs about this so some guests did not know. One negative about the breakfast was for each dish, they should have signs/notes to say what was in the dish in case someone was allergic to certain ingredients.
Location: Excellent location, less than 5 minutes walk to the Hoan Kiem lake. Many restaurants and massage parlors were near by. The hotel was in the busy old quarter of Hanoi area but in a small, quiet shaded street. I highly recommend this hotel when you come to Hanoi.

We were perfectly happy with the hotel. Modern, clean, comfortable and in the location we wanted to be - but just far enough removed from the crowds that it was not noisy. The staff were extremely pleasant and breakfast was in a bright and airy glassed in room on the rooftop with a decent view. The downsides are that the room was very small. There was a king size bed and enough room to walk around. There was no real window - the one window opened to the stairwell so we never bothered to open it. But we knew the small size and the lack of window when we reserved and it didn't bother us given the very reasonable price.

I hate to rate a hotel badly. And some of my complaints are not a reflection of the staff. The check In was good and the staff was always friendly. Except for the fact that they tried to give my room to one of our travel mates and I had already paid for the upgraded room. I was bothered by several things. First, the air conditioner became very noisy after it ran for a few hours. So every night I was awakened by it. I eventually just used ear plugs to sleep. On our second night at about midnight there was someone banging outside our door. For about an hour. One of our friends staying in an adjacent room had to ask them to be quiet. And when we asked about it at the front desk they told us it was a neighboring building who had a crazy person who was disruptive. And the part that bothered me most was that we were traveling with several others. We had a later flight. And all the others were offered a late check out or a room to stay in until our transportation arrived. My husband and I when we asked about check out they never budged. We had to sit in the lobby for several hours waiting on our ride to the airport.

The staff was very professionnal. The room was clean and nice, but the "window" to the inside stairs and not to the outside was a pity. They also wanted to charge us 30 000 for a small bottle but when I said that this price was unreasonnable and that I will go the a mart and by a new one to replace it, they changed their mind and cancelled the bill. Thanks for that.

Excellent value, spotlessly clean, chic design touches, very helpful staff, always ready to book taxis etc. It’s in a very good location in a quiet side street just off the bustle of Hoan Kiem lake and 5 mins away from the noise of the Old Quarter. The only real sign that it’s not a luxury hotel is the breakfast in the top floor cafe which was perfectly good but not lavish.

This boutique hotel won us over with their personal touch. Although the airport transfer was slightly on the high side, it was worth it when my girlfriend's sunglasses were recovered after she left it there by accident. The hotel's location was perfect with a convenient store and multiple restaurants at its doorstep, and the street was relatively quiet. Several places of interest were within walking distance (less than 2km). The breakfast was simple but hearty, and the view was refreshing. Communicating with the staff wasn't an issue too as they speak good English.

By far this is the best Hotel that I ever stayed in . The owners Kitty and Louis know how to treat their guests in the best of ways . From the fresh flowers in the room to the amazingly delicious breakfast ( more like a brunch since it is a buffet and there is so much choice ) Fresh produces and eggs are being picked up everyday early in the morning from the farmers around Hanoi. Everything tastes so good. The owners really go out of their way to please their clients. I wanted lemons , oranges , bananas and watermelon … all were brought to my room fresh from the farm .( plus a lemon squeezer to make juice .) The staff is supper friendly and so accommodating . I would recommend this Hotel La Paix to all travellers, you won't be disappointed . It's gonna be hard to leave this place and I hope that I can come back in the Fall and enjoy some more of the wonderful hospitality that is offered. This place is a gem !
