Great breakfast

Staff was kind, hotel was clean and cozy.
4.2
a cute house with a very knowledgeable consigliere William!
4.2
William at the front desk was very nice and had good restaurant Recs. That’s where it ends for a good experience.
The room was clean but small.
The noise level around the hotel area was VERY LOUD. Horns honking, lots of traffic, train moving thru and then someone staring at the hotel ran into something with their car in the morning then yelling obscenities and woke us up, along with scooting furniture underneath our room. We went downstairs for breakfast and they were “out of food”. Nothing left at 9:30 when breakfast is from 8-10am. Grabbed a cup of coffee and it was terrible. For the money we spent on the room, ITS NOT WORTH IT. We won’t be going back.
4.2
Totally overpriced. Not worth the money AT ALL. On a Main Street. LOUD TRAFFIC NOISE. Pictures are deceiving.
4.2
The staff was very kind.
4.2
Quite and clean

I stayed here 2/3 years ago when the property was freshly remodeled. My impression is that they have not kept up w the maintenance. On the positive side, very friendly staff and freshly made breakfast. Also ppl who chose to stay here are friendly and interesting so that made the experience more enjoyable.

Not worth $450 for 1 night. After a 3 weeks roadcl trip and staying in 9 different hotels this was by far the most expensive offering the least facilities. No wardrobe, no drawers, no coffee machine, no safe, no comfortable chairs in room, no outside space at all just a small area at reception to sit outside of your room. Whilst the location was only a 15 min walk to the beach/shops etc. It was right off the Freeway and you had to cross a busy 4 way junction to get there Bed was comfortable and a good shower. At best I would say $150 a night hotel.
4.2
2 Blocks from the beach and marina. Short walk to the Funk Zone and all the Winery tasting.
4.2
Great spot to stay. Close enough to walk to town and the beach. Room was very nice and quaint. Breakfast's wes excellent. Each day something new on the menu. We had wraps and bagel/egg sandwich. Fruit available also. Happy hour was a nice treat with wine and snacks. Would definitely recommend this spot.
4.2
Room was adorable the hotel is located in walking distance to the beach State Street shopping. Staff was lovely accommodating.
4.2
It looked like there was black mold in the bathroom on the curtains. And the bedroom and common rooms weren't as clean as I'd like. I used the lobby bathroom a couple times and there was never any toilet paper or paper towels.
The location is good and the color scheme is pretty but I think you can find better around this area.

Great

The sofa-bed for our 17yr old son was in really poor. I had to try and cushion the thin, spring poking mattress with an extra blanket (that the staff kindly supplied and were very friendly) but at £250/night you expect better. The main bed was lovely and the bathroom was well equipped. Breakfast is okay, very little choice and no menu - just eggs and toast.
4.2
Very chic property. Limited number of units makes it very intimate.
4.2
The place was wonderful. Very charming setting, clean and comfortable. Very nice alternative to large hotels. We loved it and would definitely stay there again!
4.2
Terrible
4.2
The free parking was very challenging and difficult to maneuver. The area too small for anything beyond a compact vehicle. It was very apparent when other rooms had people in them due to lack of insulation.
4.2
Very cozy. Super quiet room. We had early check in and the room was super clean. Though the bathroom had a little wear, it was beautiful and comfortable. The bed was comfortable and I slept really well, unfortunately the lamp was wonky. The breakfast was super yummy! The parking is tight but I really enjoyed my stay. It was the perfect place to stay while visiting my kid at UCSB. I will stay again.

A very nice stay at the Hideaway easy to find, cosy, comfortable bed, price worth breakfast
friendly staff quiet although some noice from
Highway 101. Recommendable
4.2
Bautiful interior, great breakfast.
4.2
The full breakfast each morning was great! Each afternoon they offered complimentary wine and cookies. A very nice added touch.
The only thing they can improve would be to include chips or nuts with the afternoon wine.
4.2
Excellent. Thank you!
4.2
The place was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was ok. The juice they provided was watered down. Location is convenient but parking was hard to find. It can get noisy at times from the street. Great for short stay visitors.
4.2
Fireplace did not work. Room is a lot smaller than in pictures.
4.2
Great location very walkable, spacious clean room, free parking

The word "outrageous" doesn’t even begin to describe our experience at Hideaway Santa Barbara. After hours of driving and with a CONFIRMED and PAID reservation in hand, we were met by a receptionist who coldly informed us about a double booking and that, regrettably, we had no room. While situations like this can happen, what truly turned our disappointment into frustration was the utter lack of solutions or compensations offered.
The only glimmer of "help" was a suggestion to try our luck at another nearby hotel, with no guarantee of availability or a reasonable price. Upon insisting that she assist us by calling the other hotel, the price we were offered was almost double and, to add insult to injury, they had no parking available.
It's absolutely inconceivable that, in 2023, with such advanced technology and reservation systems, customers are subjected to this treatment and these circumstances. Overbooking management and reservation errors are things that hotels should have under control to avoid such inconveniences to their guests.
What could have been a pleasant stay quickly turned into a stressful and exhausting situation, ruining our plans and leaving us scrambling to find a place to rest after a long journey.
Hideaway has demonstrated a staggering lack of respect and consideration towards us as customers and, what’s even more astonishing, a total lack of preparedness to handle situations like this in a professional and efficient manner.
4.2
Worst stay of my life. The room, which was advertised online as a beautiful room with a porch, fireplace, and couch, was terribly run down, didn’t even have a closet or safe, and could comfortably fit a fruit fly and nothing more.
They advertised that we’d have a parking spot, but we didn’t - the lot was full.
We were the downstairs room, and the walls are paper thin, so we heard the people above us at 7am and at 1am stomping around, kids running, moving furniture, etc.
The staff was not helpful and very dismissive of concerns. The service and “amenities” were akin to staying at a hostel.
There was a homeless person who lived directly outside the “hotel.”
I felt like I was robbed being charged anything to stay at this dump. I would’ve been better off staying at a motel.

Look no further.... It's as perfect as it gets! Friendly staff--easy parking...safe...convenient and right near the harbor. Room was spotless!
4.2
Super nice and very detail oriented property, Lanice was very friendly and welcoming.

Quaint just nice
We enjoyed

The staff was friendly. HOWEVER, for $750 per day, one gets no closet, no drawers, no phone, no shelf space whatsoever in the bathroom, and a breakfast offering with fake OJ, likely powdered eggs and second rate coffee more suitable for a motel six. The location is also quite poor with several homeless people on the block. Maybe worth $200 per night. A rip-off at $750.!
4.2
Lovely hotel. Leniece checked us in and was so kind and helpful
4.2
This is not a good location and the room quality is LOW for the high price. Simply not a good value.
4.2
Loved this hotel. Such a cute breakfast nook.
4.2
The hospitality was amazing!
4.2
Comfortable and charming property in a great location convenient to Funk Zone and beach. Will be back again to visit!
4.2
Pretty hotel
4.2
Cute hotel. Staff couldn’t have been nicer. Super kind. Breakfast was made to order and delicious! Plus it was included. The little extras like the fresh fruit, coffee, tea and breakfast made it all worthwhile. Great location too.
