We had a great time at Redwood River Resort. Everyone was so nice and friendly and the Deer Haven cabin was a delightful place to stay - cozy and comfortable with fun rustic decor and a big comfortable bed. The heater worked great. The food at Harrison's was very enjoyable also. We will stay here again!

awesome! beautiful location

Very old property. Back deck overlooking campsites. Dishes and coffee pot dusty and not very clean. Ran out of toilet paper. Open sugar packets in with new sugars. VERY noisy neighbors and no soundproofing. I understand this is a “rustic” property, but routine maintenance should be prioritized. The restaurant, drinks and food were good.

Hike to river was interesting

We stayed in one of the cabins and it was a bit dated, and the shower was so tiny. You could barely fit in it. Did not look at all like the photo in Expedia, but overall it was fine. The screen door immediately fell off the runner when we opened it The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was no fridge which was a little disappointing and no place to have breakfast around the area so we had to drive for 20 minutes to get breakfast.. I think this is a great place for families. The food at the restaurant wasn’t super good and there’s nothing around so I think this is a better place if you are RVing and have your own food and kitchen. There was a fun rockin atmosphere around the pub and they had a big TV with sports on all and outdoor seating. Not a place for a quiet contemplation, but good if you want to socialize,

On line photos made this place look really nice, it was not anything like the photos! Harrison’s pub and bar food was a complete disappointment for drinks and food! Even though I saw there were cabins available, I thought I had booked a king room in the lodge! Wrong I got a cabin with nothing but a stool and a shower, no refrigerator, no kitchenette nothing not even air conditioning! Screen door was broken and wouldn’t close properly to keep bugs and such out! Ended up going back to Garberville and getting some dinner and found a Best Western there so we stayed there instead, the door actually closed properly and the air conditioning worked great!!!

We had a relaxing time in this beautiful and peaceful space. Staff were friendly and we enjoyed the bar for dinner. There is plenty for any one and everyone to do!
Our only complaint was the screen door to our room was broken and we could not open it easily or leave the door open. As enjoying the fresh air is a big attraction for this space, definitely encouraged staff to fix this.
Otherwise, highly recommend and would return!

We book this by mistake and we asked Expedia to cancel this on the same day but they didn’t do that and they didn’t even tried…

Redwood River Resort is a great family stop along the Pacific Coast Highway. Plenty of outdoor activities to spend your evening under the big trees.

Resort was a quiet, rustic space with options for camping, cabins, or staying in a room in the main A-frame. Convenient to have Harrison’s Pub on property to have dinner and a beverage. Had a pool, playground, bocce, ping pong, and indoor rec room with various activities. There was an on-site convenience store in the check in area. Rooms and bathrooms were small and not updated, but clean and cozy. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Quite rustic but clean

We had the best time and we’re sad to leave. Two toddlers, two adults and a 9 year old. Having our own fire pit and front area was a huge plus. I was amazed and how clean our cabin was. The playgrounds and pool were a nice bonus! The pub was fantastic ate there twice.
Can’t wait to go back!

Is an older property that has beautiful updated. Love Harry's Pub

Awesome place right in the forest. Everyone was so nice and accommodating.

Great little place with no frills but lots of fun. The food at the bar was well bar food, but there are little kitchens in the units, so bring your own food. Access to the Eel River was fantastic. Assume for families with children.
4.4
Great camp experience. The cabin was clean and comfortable.

One night quick stop, Cabin was rustic and cute. Would consider a longer stay next time

We came to the redwoods for a spring break trip with our kids. The staff was so friendly and warm. The beds were comfortable, the kitchenette was convenient, although small. The bathroom was fine, but a little outdated. Everything worked great. No issues. The location was ideal. The kids could run around and play, even though the weather was wet and rainy. The hike to the river was gorgeous. I can imagine this place being a paradise in the summer.
4.4
The accommodations were spot on. Cool place, fun funky in the Redwoods. Harrison Restaurant & pub offers a delicious menu and a fun place to enjoy a beverage with many games.

Personable and helpful personnel. Clean room. Amazing feeling staying in the renown Redwoods.

Had a great time even though we were only there for one night. Went there for my son to visit Confusion Hill and wish we would've had more time there. Ate at Harrisons Pub and being Vegan and Vegetarian we were thankful that they had Impossible Burgers for us to eat. Chase was also very cool and let us know about the Salmon heading upstream in the river and we went and saw them the next morning. It was awesome to see and my son was so excited. We would've never known about that if it hadn't been for Chase. Hope to come back again someday and visit again!

Beautiful place

Not at all what we expected based on Expedia’s description of property. Very rustic.

Considering we stayed in a cabin, it was a good experience. The outside air was wonderful, the staff was helpful, and it was very peaceful.
But, we had an overpowering scent of Lysol when we opened the door, and had to air out the room. Because there was no cell service in the area, we couldn't use Google Maps to find their location and had to drive miles up the road to Garberville to call them for directions. Turns out it's on the 101 directly across from Confusion Hill Gravity House in Leggett.

We had an absolutely wonderful cabin right behind huge redwood tree. The bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was adequate. The kitchenette is outside and it was really freezing cold so that made preparing food a little difficult but it was a lot of fun anyway. The cabin never really got warm. Had a great day anyway.

Such a cute little place! Loved it! Very kid friendly.

This was an excellent stay and we are so glad we chose it! It was serene and comfortable. The staff is hands down some of the nicest people ever. The restaurant is amazing and we ate there both nights and all 3 of us ordered the same thing two nights in a row, not due to lack of options but because it was so good. The gentleman working the restaurant named Chase is beyond nice, quick with service. The area is great and it’s a nice escape but man go for the staff and comfy rooms; borrow a horror movie from the front office and have a real goofy fun stay. Well done to all the staff and thank you for making it one of our favorite vacation memories!!!

Since it was night when I arrived, I can't tell more than about my room : so charming !
The welcome of the Staff members set the tone : I am here to enjoy and relax.

Great place to stay.

It was a wonderful stay. We were in and out so fast on a long road trip, we did not have time to get a full experience. I wish we had more time.
4.4
Very comfortable. Nice to have the store and pub available for food choices. Watch for mosquitos in summer months.

Highly recommend! Nestled amongst the grooves of a variety of majestic trees, the Eel River is a short hike down the mountain. Kids are encouraged to run free on the super cool fort playground with the other camping families and we loved cooking all our meals in the outdoor kitchenette right next to the fire pit. Wild blackberries appear every 10 feet while hiking the area, ripe for the taking and oh so sweet! There is a really neat pub, outdoor yard games, and a swimming pool too cold for us Floridians to enjoy 😆 we did brave the cold waters of the river to enjoy the exhilarating rope swing about a 20 minute hike away from the property (will post some pics/video - it was the biggest rope swing we’ve been on!) We stayed in the Firehouse Cabin, which the boys picked out and it’s decorated w/ all kinds of cute firefighting regalia. The weather is so nice year round there is no need for AC (and they don’t have any), so we just left the screened slider open and woke to the sound of the many Stellar Blue Jays that call this place home. The property is conveniently located about an hour south of Humboldt county where the Avenue of the Giants begin (and will blow your mind!) it’s across the street from Confusion Hill, a neat tourist attraction w/ a fun alpine switch back train ride and just a few minutes away from several state parks with swimming, fishing and even a waterfall. Shoutout to the friendly staff as well like Disco Dan, Teresa, and house keeping crew!

Wonderful lodge in a lively camping site. Very friendly and helpful staff. Their restaurant was beautifully lighted up with music and great foods. Our only complaint was that the room didn’t have AC. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely stay here again when in the area. Thank you!

Check in was with the sweetest worker and she gave all the tips and was super interested in our stay, even if it was only for a night.

My last stay here was 14 years ago, and has been on my bucket list to return ever since. Our 2 night stay was absolutely wonderful. The staff was great, the newly added pub and grub was wonderful in the evenings. I loved taking my family down the trail to swim in the South Fork Eel River there. And best of all, it is conveniently centered around all the Redwood attractions in the area. I wouldn't stay anywhere else. We had a lovely time and made some great memories during our time there. 2 big thumbs way up!! Love this place and I shall return!!! Thank you!

Nice rustic venue. Enjoyable chance of pace on our trip up the west coast.

Wow! Wish we stayed more days. A perfect family getaway, with a great playground, cool eatery, and comfortable motel or camping options. Very nice people and ideally located in the redwoods. Awesome.
