The location was perfect !
Everything was great

Good location
Tiny room. The ad on booking.com said it was supposed to be a queen room, but it came with a full size bed that was very bouncy, the sheets were scratchy, the shower drain was extremely slow. The bathroom was not that clean. The toilet seat was child sized and uncomfortable. Noise from a massive amount of birds started about 4 am and continued until dawn. I don’t feel like I got what I paid for.

The service at the hotel was top notch. Francisco is the kindest. Everyone who works there is hardworking. Also, the place is truly a local and tourist spot. It made for a great immersive stay, as well as supporting a local-owned hotel. It was very clean and everyday the made my bed, cleaned the bathrooms, and gave fresh towels. Felt very taken care of as a solo female traveler.
The place is a bit loud at night, til around 11pm. It also gets loud in the early morning: Stray dogs barking in the middle of the night, birds chirping early in the morning, construction noise from up the street, and cars going by in the morning. Unfortunately, one of the window is netted and you can’t completely close it to keep out noise. Honestly, after the first two nights I got used to it. Didn’t bother me as much because the hotel is just so charming and the staff is wonderful.

This was a great place to stay in Panajachel, very close to the ferry and easy to walk to restaurants. Francisco at the front desk is the best part of this hotel! He was so kind and willing to help with anything we needed.
The wifi basically doesn't work in the rooms and only works in the hallways of the hotel. The shower temperature also fluctuates quite a bit and the hot water didn't always work, but staff was able to help reset it for us.

A big shout-out to Francisco!! He was very friendly and helpful - he arranged a private boat for us to visit San Pedro and San Juan. When we couldn’t find our captain upon returning to the dock, he called the captain for us and then texted me again to ensure that we were ok.
The location was unbeatable! It is right on the main calle with bunch of good food options nearby. The lake was an easy 5 mins walk from the hotel. Since we were only staying for one night, we didn’t mind that our room was on the smaller side. Shower pressure was strong and the room was clean. Do bring some earplugs as you will be waken up by birds chirping.
We didn’t eat breakfast at the hotel, but we saw a lot of non hotel customers dinning there. You do get two big bottles of water upon arrival!
Parking is included, but it is about 2 blocks away. 10Q/hr after the check-out time.

The American breakfast was just what we needed to start each day.
Street and morning noise was more than expected, but was during the New Years celebrations, which had its own charm.

Francisco was wonderful at the front desk. He was very helpful with tours and transportation requests. The location was great!
The rooms were a little tight, with not much room for suitcases to be opened. While we enjoyed the music from a nearby restaurant (which ended around 9pm), some people might find the noise an issue. Some rooms did not have ceiling fans, and no rooms had screens on the windows.

the location and kind staff

Great attention and service from the staff. Our room was clean, including sheets and bath.
Very noisy. It is located on the main street, so you can hear people at 2am drinking and being loud on the street. A lot of dogs on the vicinities that would loudly bark to the strangers on the street. Also, the rooms are super close to each other (sharing walls) and our next door neighbor was a real pain in the butt, he was drunk trying to open our room!! at 3am, then proceeding to smoke in front of our window. Nobody were on the front desk to assist at that hour.

I loved how cozy and comfortable the place and the room are. The staff is super kind and nice. Plus, it's in the Santander street which is close to everything walking distance. I'd stay here when I come back to Panajachel. 100% recommended!!
It's hard to point out something bad. Our stay was excellent!

The room was dated with aubergine bathroom fittings and frilly pillow cases.

It was quite noisy at night with dogs barking but not the hotels fault.

Loved the location of the hotel right on the main street in Panajachel, walking distance to all restaurants and the beach! Clean and quiet despite being centrally located, with spacious rooms and private bathrooms!
Would have been nice to have the option to pay in advance in for breakfast, or have a breakfast included in the room fee.
