Beautiful park by the inlet. Our cabin had views of the inlet, but we did not have a patio or balcony and you could not see the views of the inlet if you sat on the couch. Cabins are close to the water. Clean and comfortable with everything you need in the kitchen.

Gorgeous place! Excellent for kids-We will be back :)

Good location near the water if you have good weather to enjoy it. No shops or café here though so make sure you buy food on the way through Walpole. Old rooms but clean and comfortable. No footpath to the rooms so shoes get quite dirty when the ground is wet/dewy. Check out instructions included washing and putting away dishes (no issue) and sweeping room which I wasn’t impressed about.

Waking up to the sunrise even though it didn’t last long as the rain clouds took over, we did enjoy our stay the rain didn’t stop us from sightseeing

Wild kangaroo in early evening and beautiful while pelicans on the water. The location was wonderful and it was nice to have a kitchen with a nice table out on the glassed in front porch with a view of the water.

Very old needs renovating. No lounge area for 4 people.

Unfortunately there isn’t a lot of choice for accommodation in Walpole and certainly this property didn’t strive to provide a memorable experience. Property is tired and needs lots of maintenance and customer service is nonexistent.

Great location and generally beautiful setting

beautiful location. we stayed in a 3 bedroom unit waterfacing and it was spacious and clean. with the age of the building and the wooden build, it can be noisy such as neighbours TV or even just heavy footsteps in the neighnouring unit sounding like its from your unit.
Overall, we would come back for location and access to the beautiful inlet. special place.

Great location, good service, just the things are are old

Booking said it was a ‘superior apartment’ but it was definitely not! There was a door in between us and the neighbours and you could hear everything. Place is so old and dated everything needs replacing. Electrical appliances hadn’t been checked since 2013. Only one small couch, we were a family of 5 so not sure how we are supposed to all sit on that? Only 1 dryer was working in laundry and with the weather not being the best everyone had washing to be dried. Photos on website do not show accurately how old and dated the place is. We had booked a week and wanted to leave after the first night but could not get a refund so reluctantly stayed. Had to clean the floors, oven, microwave and fridge before we left, does not state this when you book Will not be staying here again.

Amazing location. Stayed in old wooden apartments separated by locked doors between units, Very noisy as could hear neighbours conversation. Totally inappropriate and put a real dampner on our stay

Beautiful secluded location on the banks of the pristine Walpole inlet. The chalet has views to the water edge and forest, lots of pelicans and other waterbirds, as well as kangaroos. Short drive into Walpole, and several walking trails around. Great kayaking on the inlet, with a launch beach by the chalet.

Picturesque location, quiet with lots of wildlife around. Accommodation is a bit tired and rundown, with many of the cabins amenities either partially working or not at all. Overall reasonably comfortable and relatively inexpensive, good for young families on a budget.

We had a nice stay here. It is out of town so make sure you have what you need. We stayed in a superior apartment which was more space than we needed but it was good. The lounge sofas were not very comfortable and there was only one space heater for a four bedroom place. We just kept all the room doors closed. There were electric blankets on all the beds which were lovely. The area is very beautiful and peaceful with a gorgeous view of the inlet.
One thing did put us off right away was the fellow that seems to manage the place. He felt we were driving a little fast when we came in and rather than nicely say to watch our speed, he was quite confronting. We apologized and he continued to lecture about how fast walking speed is and that we were beside the playground. There was not one person anywhere to be seen let alone children. We were really not going very fast and had apologized so no lecture was required. What put us off even more was how fast he drove around the property, around the corner of our unit while gathering garbage etc. It did not make a very good impression or make us feel very welcome. We would not return for that reason alone.
