I liked the hotel. It's nice located, my room had a amazing view and it was spacious and clean.
The hotel itself is also clean, equipped in a modern design, friendly and helpful staff and just a few food steps away from Taksim Square and a lot of restaurants and cafes.
Very nice and delicious breakfast buffet. I can highly recommend this hotel

Room was a suite- so was spacious.
Air conditioning not working first 2 days.
The fixed. This caused a large leak from air con vent.
Leak not fixed. Electricity tripped. Twice. Last tripped was when we were to leave so couldnt shower or pack.
Hotel gave us another room to shower and get ready.

Location is the best for a tourist.

The place is well looked after. They need to do alot of work on their aircon system. I was there previously for 5 days and then also we had issues. I booked again for a one night stay and the ac didnt work. I requested them to sort it out and they said they would do it from the main panel but nothing was sorted. It resulted in a very very uncomfortable night.

I would think this is the best location in Istanbul. You walk out of the hotel and straight into Taskim Square - with hundreds of eating, shopping options. Getting to all the major sites is quick and easy. My only negative feedback of the place was, I had asked the front desk to keep a small bag for the next couple of days as we were travelling out of Istanbul and they just refused to do so. Have stayed in other Accor Properties and other brands but never such a request denied. Was quite disappointed due to this..

Everything about this hotel is perfect especially location if u want to be on the fun side

Great location, lots of food options around, the room was great but the thing that didn't cut out for me as a 5-stars hotel was the front of desk. They ain't very friendly, didn't even say hello when we met a couple of them in the main lobby. For the 2 days stay, the only person who greet us were the security staff, ironically. Don't think I am asking for too much, sometime service staff are being complacent.

Pricey but worth it. Location and services excellent

The service was not good, the staff needs training, there is a major confusion among the workers about the rules of the hotel etc. The club lounge has the poorest selection of any Accor hotels.
3.0
The location is perfect however we were discouraged to take an available rooftop room because of noise till 1pm from the nightclub. Even when located to 3rd floor we were woken by noise.
The room was amazing till you have a shower and it flooded so had to stop and start to get washed and it seemed it had happened before as the floor boards nearly cut my foot as they were so lifted from water damage!!
Breakfast was lack luster and the club lounge was so disappointing. You should take example of the Hilton Bomonte. This is what it should be.
Really disappointed to spend $800 per night for this service!!!!!
Will be sharing so others don’t experience this too.

We came to Istanbul for a joint birthday celebration weekend - the team at the Sofitel made our weekend really special.
The warm welcome on arrival from the front office and concierge was superb! They took care of us from minute one, helping us plan our stay, booking restaurants for us and sharing advice and tips on getting the most from our 3 days here.
The customer experience team gave us a great surprise after our first day of sight seeing with balloons, happy birthday wishes and cakes and treats in our room - it was lovely.
Our room was fabulous with views of the Bosporous, really comfortable and cleaned beautifully.
Special mention to Kaan from the concierge team - who is quite simply the best concierge we have come across for many years. Fantastic attention to detail, he went over and above to make our stay in Istanbul exceptional! Thank you!
A 5 star customer experience from start to finish.

I reserved 2 rooms because of my previous good experience but this time they gave us 2 room in the basement because they said no room in the main building. I didnt like the basement rooms.

Great looking hotel with a comfortable living space. Very easy walk (1min) to central tourist area. Felt very safe with hotel security at all entrances. Cons: hallway periodically had a funky odor, bar area is not really a bar. Room was hot A/C could not always keep up. I would stay again.

My husband got injured in the room he sat on the chair and he fell down.( chair got broken ) When we complained to the staff they did not ask him for any medication. He had a severe injury on his hip he can't even walk.

Exellent stay from beginning to end. Got a lovely suite upgrade, the extra space with a toddler was very helpful. Great service throughout the hotel, beautiful spa

This was one of the nicest places we have stayed at and we have stayed at 5 stars all over the world--Ritz, JW Marriott, etc. The hotel was clean. The service was amazing! The bellhop not only took our bags to our room, but showed us around, connected all of our devices to Wifi, gave us recommendations for restaurants and dishes to try-and they were amazing!, and gave us recommendations for a Turkish Bath. Anything we needed they took care of without being pushy or annoying. We will definitely stay here again if we go back to Turkey.

Service quality went down in general compare to 2022, the room was not clean when I checked in, the coffee machine was out of service, I have been ignored when I request for change it, some stuff were rude but most were friendly.

The hotel is great but not the service, the service it’s not 5 stars corresponds at 3 stars.

This is my worst experience so far! I booked for 8 days there and for the 5 nights they let me sleep in the bottom floor bedrooms, there was so much noise and I kept thinking someone is gona come in! I asked for a one bed and they gave me two stuck together aftwe I paid for a one bedroom and then he also said in check in “that elevator is only for higher members booked suits we have another elevator that goes to the normal rooms you booked in and that was by the side door next to the cleaners stuff room. I also meet some confusing staff when we call the downstairs and one person says one thing and the other says another! I paid $400 aud per night! That’s not cheap and to be treated like that and be not cared for as much as what I saw them doing to others is embarrassing and unfair! Save your money and don’t book this hotel!

Very stylish hotel in the heart of Istanbul. Walking distance to many famous spots including galata tower. The staff was very helpful and accomodating and lenient with late checkout. I will def stay here again.

I booked a suite, but it was seriously over priced. Room was inconvenient, unnecessarily decorated , living area was full of furniture bit difficult to walk .

We had a lovely stay at the Sofitel Taksim. All the staff were very helpful and courteous. We would like to especially thank Kaan (concierge) for great recommendations. He is very knowledgeable and a great asset to Sofitel.

I travel frequently and this property is definitely not a 5 star. Upon arrival Arman at front desk checked us in. I let him know that we were staying there for our 5th year anniversary and he told us that the hotel had upgraded us to a “Luxury suite”. We were pleased and I gave him $20 American Dollars tip as our appreciation which is a lot of money in Turkey. Upon walking in the room, we looked out at we literally had the view of a sling dog building’s roof. I have a picture which I can’t post here. We complained and were told that currently they were sold out and for us to wait a day. My lady checked online and noticed all types of rooms were still available which means they lied. Next day I kept calling Arman and he kept brushing me off so I went to front desk and asked for the manager and after waiting about 7 minutes Salim came out and I expressed my concern, he rolled his eyes and said but we have you the luxury room and I showed him a picture of our view and said that is luxury about this. Anyways he didn’t do anything g for us and made us keep the same ugly room. I have stayed in Sofitel at several countries. Issue is not the hotel it’s its employees they have there. Arman and Salim need to work at a motel not Sofitel.
