Room it self was very nice. Had a big family with us expected to be on the same floor but was on to different floors. Staff did not seem friendly or welcoming at all especially at reception and cafe area on lower ground floor. Had 500 rials in notes wouldnt accept in any shop in the mall or change at reception such a big hotel and cannot provide change or accept the 500 rial note thats really poor! Wouldnt recommend to anyone!

Big spacious room, delicious and varied buffet breakfast option. Welcoming and competent staff. 20 minutes walk to the haram. The bus shuttle was nice however during Ramadan, there were so many people, it would sometimes get chaotic trying to get a spot on the bus despite several buses being avaliable. This wasn't so much the fault of the hotel, it was more down to people's behaviour, ie people pushing and running over each other to get on the bus instead of queuing up properly. We decided to walk instead, which took us 20 to 25 minutes (which was less than waiting for a bus to be available, especially on the way back from the haram after Fajr for example).

I think the land on which it is built. I think it can be developed further.

Was a perfect stay.
Only issue was the peak time of Umrah meant shuttles could not travel to the haram as fast or often as perhaps would do at other times. It was easier to walk 25 minutes.
The system to get in the shuttle was not organised. Which meant lots of people pushing and shoving to get on. Perhaps queues, shuttle for each tower etc could help?
However hotel, sehri, service was great!!

Pros: We stayed there for 4 nights during Ramadan and had an amazing time. Property is very well maintained, clean and majority staff is friendly.
Cons: Their shuttle service to Haram is pretty good except for one night when it was terrible and people were fighting over to get on the bus as there were not many buses running. For that reason, i will suggest fellow travellers taking a hotel withing walking distance from haram, if possible.

Extremely good service and very clean hotel. The staff that checked us in and also at the time of check out was outstanding.
Good busy service back and front from Kaaba constantly.
Only negative is the price for Iftar.
440 SAR for 3 people is very expense.
Specially when we had only few samosas and 2 cups of tea.

It was difficult to reach to Haram due to road was closed by police

The hotel is good. It’s as good as it gets in Makkah. Maybe one of the best. Better than all the clock tower (except Raffles maybe, the only one I haven’t stayed at). It’s clean and efficient. Breakfast (suhoor) was good, nothing amazing.
The main issue is THE SHUTTLES. And those are also as good as it’s going to get. Here’s the lowdown:
There are plenty of shuttles. That’s not the problem. There is always a shuttle waiting for you at both ends. The hotel probably has 10-15 full size coach buses if not more. One problem is the hotel doesn’t organize them, so there’s no lineup. Everyone shoves on like (forgive me) savages that are fighting for their lives. It’s like going for the Black Stone to get into one at rush time. The hotel can easily remedy this by setting up a line and one security guard.
Next is just the logistics of Makkah that can’t be avoided. At best traffic the shuttle will take 15 min and at worst 25-30 min. From the hotel, it should leave once full, but from Ajyad station it leaves according to some order, so you’ll wait 0 to 20 min once in the bus. Then there is the walk from Ajyad station to the courtyard entrance which will take you 7-12 min depending on crowds and how fast you can walk.
BEST CASE: shuttle hotel to courtyard takes 22 min
WORST CASE: shuttle courtyard to hotel (this would be the worst case because of potential Ajyad station wait) takes 60+ min
Comparatively,
THE WALK takes 20-35 min depending on your ability, the crowd …

Great Hotel, with good buffet and shuttle service
Amazing shower, but the Toilet spray was way too strong, so just didn't love that

Overall, my stay at Voco Hotel was nothing short of exceptional. The attention to detail, impeccable service, and luxurious accommodations made for an unforgettable experience. I can't wait to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a memorable getaway.

No restaurant in this hotel. Every time had to take taxi to buy food. Also couldn’t find first aid box even a band aid.
Provided razor, what made me happy

The rooms were big and kept nice and clean. The servicing staff was nice and friendly. Washroom supplies such as handwash soap, shampoo, bodywash etc. were of good quality and plenty available. Shuttle service was great. Buffet breakfast was a bonus.
Front desk staff should be more friendly and let people know if there is one line or multiple lines and how people should form the lines as people were cutting in in front of others and the staff allowed this to happen. There should be one queue for all lines and whichever attended is available, the person next in line should go to them.

Great hotel and facilities

I was in Mecca and specifically in Voco for 9 nights so in all modesty I can give a representative review. Obviously I compare my stay to other 4/5 star hotels I have visited all over the world.
The rooms were in general very new and splendid. The bathroom facilities, the beds, the air temperature in the room – everything was really nice. The hotel staff where very nice and welcoming – from the check-in to the breakfast lady, and specifically Younis who where a young man who served juices at breakfast – may Allah bless him.
However I will highlight two things that are the reason why I wont come back.
1) Breakfast: The breakfast is pretty much a joke. There are no variations. There are tomatoes and cucumbers and sliced lemon and that’s all there is to it. Most of it is cakes and sweets. There is a guy making omelets but they don’t even use real cheese. The breakfast is NOT worth it at all. For almost 3-4 mornings I didn’t eat breakfast and grabbed something from Jabbal Omar instead.
2) Although the shuttleservice is good, it is still too far away from haram. If you want to grab a coffee, a late night snack near haram, you will have to go for a long time.
If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, pick one closer to Haram.
4.5
One of the best 4 star hotels I have visited. Good breakfast, clean room, nice bed etc.
One feedback is to let your bus company know that they should be better at picking us up after Isha from haram. Too long lines and people pushing and shoving.
4.5
Service is good. Rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast is good.
Shuttleservice could be a bit better and try to avoid the queue after Isha time when coming back from Haram.
