I arrived at 8pm and went to my room to find that housekeeping hasn't cleaned the room from the previous guest... the front desk apologized and quicky offered me another room, which was perfectly clean and ready for a new guest.

Great location, rooms, and views

Excellent spot on Roosevelt Island. Easy walk to the tram and subway with fantastic views of Manhattan.
Front desk could have been more attentive when guests were present, but no complaints about service.
James, the parking attendant, is a gem!

Nice hotel. Staff friendliness was hit and miss.
Rooms were small (to be expected in NYC). Missed having a coffee maker in the room (had to go down to the lobby)
Island was cool but out of the way!

Hotel with great potential but poorly run by the current manager. The hotel is the only one located on lovely little Roosvelt Island, with really special views of the Manhattan and Queens skyline, both from the rooms (not all of them), but especially from the rooftop (the access rules are absurd for hotel guests, it is closed on Sundays and Mondays without notice). The front desk is small and usually managed by one person at a time, so when there are problems with customers (in 3 days, every day, and not only with us), or long paperwork, queues form. Room cleaning is not done thoroughly. We were handed a room in an indecent condition and even after the dutiful cleaning it was not shining (just move a nightstand or a chair to understand this). The breakfast provided with strict college rules (like the rest) is very limited, but the products are good and freshly prepared. As mentioned, the manager treats customers with condescension and never tries to please the customer, in fact he just doesn't listen to the customer, also showing remarkable rudeness (on the last day, once I paid, he almost laughed in my face after I invited him to personally check the poor cleanliness of my room). Never in many years, anywhere in the world, have we been treated so badly. Too bad because in a place like this it would take little to turn a mediocre stay into an unforgettable one.
Perhaps we will return, but certainly only after verifying that there is a new manager.

Beautiful Brooklyn bridge view from the room

Arranged an early check in and the room was amazing. Great location and probably the best roof top bar in NYC.

Only hotel on Roosevelt Island. Inc breakfast was very VERY poor (juice or coffee.. really?)
Rooftop has a great view, but first you need to get thru the “I do this for so long, we don’t need guests, leave your camera in your room” door persoon. They include tip even on drinks at the bar… new for me in NYC.
My room was on the 11th floor and was happy that at 3 AM finally the rooftop bar turned of the music.

Great location, very quiet even being relatively close (floor 15) to the rooftop bar (floor 17). Very clean, unique atmosphere. Area for improvement would be service. Asked for wine glasses, they said they didn't have them. But the website said they do a champagne package, so offer flutes? Also, when asked for a corkscrew, had to wait over an hour. At that point the takeout we wanted to drink the wine with was cold. We would definitely return, but with the knowledge we should plan for providing any incidentals ourselves.

Great concept
- Staff love the place, maybe a little too much to be truly accommodating (“You’re so privileged to be here”).
Kitchen is ok, but not great
- If you can eat out do.
Sky View room has great view.
Very neat. Clean wnough.

To get to the rooftop it was an issue, it seems if you walked out with a reservation without being a guest, will access you faster. I waited more than a hour to go upstairs and the place was almost empty. No senses.

It was a nice hotel however they are not forthcoming with your bio deal or vouchers. They falsely advertised that they have a pool when in fact they don’t and the parking garage is close but can be difficult if you have a lot of bags l.

Great area to stay. Quiet, walkable, safe. View was amazing. Needs coffee maker and microwave in the room. Miguel in the restaurant provided outstanding service.

Beautiful property with great views and friendly service.

The Graduate is the only hotel on Roosevelt Island which is a great area, lots of parks and waterfront walks. Their is a elevated tram to Manhattan proper just 100 yards from the hotel doorstep. Good restaurant.

Overall great hotel and plan to stay here again in the future . Shout out to the House keeping and lobby restaurant staff - they are fantastic. Front desk staff was hardly present and available when you needed them and when they did show up were 😑.

Yasirah at the front desk provided excellent customer service and cared to provide us the best Skyline view available. Always had a smile regardless what time of the day whether it was busy and many people were on line. She embodies putting the customer first.

Beautiful, quiet location. Riding the tr to the city was easy, convenient and had fantastic sunset views!

The staff is welcoming.
They have coffee service in the lobby from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. (it could be hotter)
Go with the vegetable omelet!!!
The pastries can improve.
Definitely visit the bar on the roof.
We will be back.

Beautiful view of Manhattan. Very close to subway & tram. Roosevelt Island is more relaxed than Manhattan.

Very original room decoration and theme. The lobby with all of those books is both fun and unique.
The elevator attendant was rude and bordering on thuggish.

The hotel itself is really nice. Environment is safe and neighboorhood in general is quiet. Staff are helpful. Got there later than checkin time allowed since we were on a delayed flight. Front desk was accommodating. Room was small but clean and pleasant. Wish the panorama was open earlier than 5pm so I could have checked it out. Would stay here again.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the friendliest staff! The customer service was top notch.

I have had a frustrating experience!! I tried to reserve a room by showing up at the hotel - was told I had to go to a central booking place & was given a phone # to call. But the # was incorrect!!! When someone finally answered, he told me he was at a Graduate Hotel in Ann Arbor MI. He put me on hold for a very long time, eventually returned, but couldn't offer me a room rate that was equivalent to what was on Hotels. com. When I finally went back to Hotels.com, all the cheaper rates were gone & I had to spend much more than I intended. When I checked in at the hotel, I complained, but the manager was not professional & refused to do anything to compensate me for the mistake (incorrect phone #) that had been made.
The room is fine, but I am EXTREMELY unhappy about the service.

A total gem of a hotel for visiting NYC. While it is located outside of the concrete jungle, it is extremely convenient to visit the busiest city in the US.
Hotel is located on Roosevelt Island, a residential community with parks and landmarks with a totally relaxed vibe, The hotel has excellent service and affors guests access to a Sports Complex / Community Center facilities.
Incredibly, being outside of the City, its just a 3 Minute walk to Subway station and 9 minute ride to Rockefeller or 11 minute ride to Times Square station, which is better than most hotels in manhattan.
Walking around the Island and the Hotel Rooftop Bar you will have the best Manhattan skyline views you can get without hiring a helicopter.
Don´t miss the ferry to Wall Street Pier, a 5 minute walk from hotel, you board the ferry for a 45 minute boat ride to see the city from a totally different perspective.
Bar is pricey but worth every penny for the view. Parking is also pricey, but less than what you would expect inside the city.
5 Stars all around.
