Had Avery pleasant stay, this was one of my top ten places to stay, and I wasn’t disappointed. We didn’t have a spooky experience, but we had wonderful time.
The caretakers cottage was comfortable, and it was creepy looking/feeling.
Rainy, the young lady that was our tour guide, was. Set knowledgeable about the property and was very friendly.

In St. Francisville, where shadows creep,
A haunted mansion guards secrets deep.
Beneath moss-draped oaks, this town is rare.
you won’t see Starbucks, just local fare,
In this quiet town, with history grand,
The spirit of the South takes your hand.

The Myrtles is ABSOLUTELY stunning! Even more so than in the photos!!!! The grounds are gorgeous and the trees with Spanish moss are magical! The staff is amazing! The evening tour so good!! Like must not miss good!!! The breakfast is excellent!!!! So why not a 5 star review? Well….our room was beautiful…but…the mattress and bed were horribly uncomfortable. The bed creaked every teeny tiny move you made and the mattress was awful. And when I say awful, I mean that on 3 separate times during the night I grabbed a blanket a pillow and tried to sleep in the hardwood floor on the room. I’m almost 50, have chronic back pain and have had back surgery if that paints a picture of how desperate I was to give that even a thought. No surprise the floor wasn’t comfortable and I kept going between the bed and the floor at least 3 times that I can recall during the night. At one point even tried using all the rooms pillows to create a makeshift floor mattress. Nothing was comfortable. I hardly slept a wink. I was in the John Leake room. Also the difference in one degree on the thermostat was the difference between melting and freezing, something another guest experienced in their room as well as we chatted at breakfast. They said their bed was also very uncomfortable and the creeking was bad as well. They stated they thought about sleeping in their truck at one point during the night. It was then I regretted not thinking of sleeping in my vehicle!

Misleading for a plantation. It is really a large, old house. The dinning is a joke. I ordered a steak, which was good, but came with fries. Overrated.
4.7
A truly beautiful and peaceful place to stay! The history of the plantation was a plus.
4.7
Great check-in experience, staff all around are amazing, very welcoming and helpful

Whole place was superb, room was small but lovely, beautiful smell once you opened the door! Lots of facilities on site, beautiful context, great complimentary house tour, breakfast included which you can eat in cafe or take out (they will give you a voucher on check-in). Restaurant on site expensive but good food, busy (obv popular with locals), good service.

We heard about the Myrtles on tv & reserved. We were so happy with our stay & experience; from check-in to our tour with Charles; our beautiful room, the Octavia and our delicious meals. The grounds are beautiful. The rooms are well appointed, comfortable & beautifully decorated. We cannot say enough good things about the Myrtles. Thank you.

This was a great experience. We took both the history and mystery tour and was so excited to stay here.

I loved everything about the property, can't wait to go back. Rainy Day was an amazing tour guide. We did both the historical day tour and the ghost night tour. I learned a lot about the property, it's owners and the ghosts.
4.7
I was not a fan of the Fannie Williams room at all. I didn’t request that room and I did not like having to walk down the hall to the bathroom and no tv in the room. I know some people are interested in the haunted aspect of the property but it was not an enjoyable experience for me. Thank you

Beautiful Plantation, Great Old Oaks with a Very Good Restaurant to Eat at..

Beautiful scenery with the moss trees. Calming type place. No hauntings. Sorry.
4.7
Unique, the tours were interesting and the guide was very knowledgeable. We wish there was more of the property to tour. Loved the pond with the chairs in the middle and the visit from the ducks. So cute.
4.7
Had a late check in and was accommodated without any issues. Cottage Crepe Myrtle was clean and cozy. The food and staff at Elta Cafe were excellent. Highly recommended would love to return someday soon.
4.7
Myrtle Plantation was lots of fun for me and my sister. We stayed in the doll room. Very scary and even locked my sister in the closet lol. Did not experience any paranormal activity very vintage and old rooms. Full size bed not Queen. Separate bathroom from the room which is exclusively yours. Beware stairs up to the rooms are very steep and hard to walk up and down.
4.7
Such a peaceful place to chill. And the resturant never disappoints
4.7
The accommodations were lovely and the restaurant was wonderful!
4.7
We stayed here for 2 nights and got married on the grounds. I've stayed here multiple times over the last few years and its always incredible. The beds are small in the main house as they are time period furnishings but they are comfortable. But they do make alot of noise. You may have paranormal encounters. I have had experiences about 50% of the times ive stayed.
Breakfast has changed which i was disappointed in but its still delicious.
4.7
