If you want to stay centrally and do not want to spend the extra cost for a normal size ( ours was extremely small) room in other hotels, this is a good alternative. Functioned well, but really a “machine” hotel. Did not use the Onsen, but think this free of charge service is a pluss.
4.3
Convenient location, amazing view from our 20th floor window and comfortable bed. Check in and out process all automated and easy and fresh towels daily. Stayed 4 nights and even though the room was small there was plenty of space to hang/store stuff
4.3
Good basic accommodation. You need to be a bit mindful when walking in the area at night, but can be fun as long as you keep away from people proposing you places to go into. Metro stations are close enough, even if they are not right next to the hotel.
4.3
Very tight and small hotel, but clean, conveniently located and walkable to all points of nearby interests. Only con is that check out is 10am which is early.
4.3
Really enjoyed our stay. The hotel was 10min walk from Shinjuku station and close to bars and restaurants. Hotel staff were fantastic and the room and facilities were well equipped. Please note this close to red light district which light not be for everyone but it felt very safe at all times of the day and night! Would stay again

Everything was just okay. I had the breakfast included with my fare - it was average, maybe a tiny bit below average. Taking the room key out of the socket turned off the power in less than 30 seconds I think, which was a bit surprising but understandable due to the eco-friendliness they are trying to achieve.
4.3
Pretty central, super comfy bed, and everything in walking distance (Bars, cafés, train Station,)
4.3
Short 10/12 minute walk from train, with an alley across the street with lots of neat little restaurants and food stands. The onsen was a great way to relax at the end of the day.
The only negative part was the check-in process. They're in the process of going self service and the system wasnt working well.
4.3
Check in process was very congested with lots of people.
Checkout process was very very strict and an earlier 10am checkout time
otherwise a good comfortable secure stay.

The Apa Higashi Shinjuku Kabuchiko Tower was a great and convenient stay for my time in Tokyo. Based in Shinjuku it was easy enough for me to take the subway around the city and do a lot of shopping and sightseeing.
The hotel itself is very modern, with room-key-swipe-card-access-only to the elevators and floors where the rooms are.
The room itself was very effectively laid out and very flexible with a smaller amount of space. I was able to store two quite large suitcases underneath my bed and keep them completely out of my way. The TV guide that appears on screen when you arrive provides a bunch of helpful (and humorous) information about the hotel itself and about Japan/Tokyo in general.
The check in process was a bit confusing, but the hotel staff were able to help me out. And when I messed up my luggage delivery and sent it from the Apa Hotel Shinjuku Kabuchiko Tower (note the lack of "Higashi" in the name) they helped me find the other hotel so I could get my bags where they needed to be.
They support receiving luggage delivery and will also hold your bags if you arrive before your check in time (I wasn't able to check in early). It does get very busy when check in first opens, so I'd recommend arriving a little later!

Hotel size is one of big, but breakfast restaurant is too much small and very uncomfortable
4.3
We had to check ourselves in and fill out a bunch of information on their computer screen when we arrived which was the last thing we wanted after a long flight and journey through the subway system. The room was ridiculously small. I felt closterphobic staying in the room. The washroom is smaller than an airplane washroom and includes a shower/tub.
This was the smallest of al the hotels I’ve stayed at in Japan and definitely not worth the price.
4.3
Great central location albeit some undesirables…Affordable Tokyo Hotel.
On site spa / onsen was very nice too… Still getting a hold on the Japanese bidet toilets mind…!!
4.3
For a standard chain hotel, APA was a very accommodating, comfortable stay. The front desk staff were incredibly pleasant and they spoke English well.
4.3
Nice hotel with its own Onsen. Rooms are small but comfortable. Breakfast buffet was surprisingly good.
4.3
Our first night in Tokyo! What a lovely hotel and lovely staff! Would go back anytime
4.3
Very satisfactory

A great hotel with great amenities and great location. Within 10 min walk from 2 metro stations. Staff were amazing and very helpful. The only thing though is that the rooms are very tight for 2 people and you’d barely have enough space for your suitcases since there isn’t a closet. Other than that no complaints

Great place very central

So good !

The hotel’s location is very good. Close to a lot of convenience stores, ATM, small restaurants. A little walk to train station. If you have bulky luggage’s, better to take Taxi especially when train rides involves multiple train line transfers. Hotel will not clean your room daily. You will be stuck with dirty towels, if your pillow case is sweaty, you’ll live with it for three days. Excellent running water. Staffs are polite but some are just stoic or atypical Japanese impolite or rude. There’s a guy in the restaurant during breakfast who makes bad reception-habitually directing guest if you’re Solo travel to a bar counter facing the wall while others gets the best table and location. Grr, frustrating to meet this guy every morning for the last three bfast I had

I have stayed with APA before so I know the rooms are a bit compact. The bathroom sink is especially annoying because the water splashes out making a mess. Easier to use shower to wash my hands.
This particular location has a spa/ public bath which I find so enjoyable and relaxing
4.3
Meget bra rom, hadde alt jeg trengte! Servicen var bra, check inn gikk fort å bra! Frokosten var litt liten men bra utenom det!
4.3
Great value, great location for all of Tokyo’s ‘places to see’. The option for breakfast was a nice surprise. I’d recommend staying here if you’re staying in Tokyo to see all it has to offer in a short space of time.

All one wants from an APA property. Thanks.
4.3
Great hotel. Exceeded expectations for location and affordability.
4.3
Very convenient location, clean, quite nice hotel.

Great place to stay

Great staff, easy (digital screen at front desk) check in process. They'd also received mail for me (I was expecting a ticket for an event which was mailed to the hotel) and without prompting and gave it to me upon checking in. Very helpful. Great for solo travelling.
4.3
Very nice stay. Thank you!
4.3
Clean and cozy. Good for solo travelers, but the room may be small for two.

Great location

It was my first time in Japan and we couldn't have picked a more perfect location. It was very close to the Metro station so we could get around the city. I knew that our room would be smaller than a lot of western hotels so I was prepared for the size. We only planned on using our hotel as a base and for sleep which worked out well. We stayed four nights, the third night had mandatory house keeping and fresh towels were dropped on a bag outside our site each day. My only wish is that the air conditioning would stay on when we left the room. I know this is an eco-friendly feature but it was 37 degrees celsius plus humidity each day and coming back to a air conditioned room would have been ideal.
4.3
Safe and clean. Small but prefect for the use of sleeping
4.3
Perfect location!

Rooms are very small even for 2 people.. we are very small petit in size.. barely any moment in the room.. had to keep the room door open..
4.3
Great Hotel for the price!

Beware of scammers in the Kabukicho area.

Great location. The room is very small though. Clean.
