We can’t wait to come back to this hotel - so cool and loved the location!

Very nice place! Super comfy and located in an amazing area! Thank you for such a nice stay and great service!

The Lofts was an excellent place to stay. Need better instructions on how to operate the lock mechanism to open doors. It’s a great keyless system (SO much better than lockboxes!) but was not intuitive from the written directions on door.
The suite was clean, comfortable and roomy!

We were looking for a pet-friendly location with a little more than the highway exit locations.
We found the Lofts just a few miles off the highway in the old part of town, which was perfect.
The property was perfect, very well-appointed, and had everything we needed, including cooking and laundry in our suite. There is plenty of food and beverage options, steps from the hotel.

Great location right on Main Street! Very clean and interesting building history, an old car dealership building for 1924.

Accidentally parked in wrong spot. Got towed hit with 220 dollar towing fine. Had to figure out how to get vehicle out of impound by the way cash only. Seems odd. Sounds like a racket to me. Very disappointed with entire situation. Came to move daughter in for college and this is how guests get treated! Disappointing!

Interesting place. Not the average hotel room. Very cool.

There is a significance difference in quality between the first floor and second-floor rooms. Even though this is a queen suite, the bed is a full (not queen), the ceilings are low, the bathroom is smaller, the floors are concrete and there is a musty smell. Huge difference from the rooms I stayed in previously on the second floor (and I’m paying more this time because of Tech graduation, presumably). I was disappointed, especially after talking it up to my husband and others.

I LOVE the Lofts and stay here every time I’m in town visiting family. So much character, it’s like a home away from home. Much better than staying in a hotel.

Fantastic place. Clean, great location with multiple local food and drinks within walking distance.

The apartments are beautiful, and the manager was very helpful. We stayed in the basic apartment which lacked an adequate surface to eat on. Otherwise, it was an outstanding choice.

Property was absolutely amazing

The room, location & cleanliness were awesome! We loved the history of the hotel. Minus one star for the very thin portions between the rooms. . A family came in about 12am and sounded as if they were right in our room. We could clearly hear every word that was said. Unfortunately this lasted in & off for the next several hours. Just wished they would have insulated the walls during renovations.

This was my first experience at the Lofts at Downtown Salem and I was overly impressed by numerous items. The security of the building was what caught my attention upon arrival. The decor and charm of the interior “lobby” area as well as the room was well appointed. The accommodations were very comfortable with control of the HVAC system and a ceiling fan in the living and bedroom areas. The kitchen and bathroom were very clean and had modern appliances and cabinets. The queen size bed was very comfortable and there were ample pillows! Coffee, tea bags, and travel toiletries were also provided in the room. Finally, the communication received from the property was promptly received, easy to understand and comprehensive for everything needed for the stay. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a place when in the Salem/Roanoke area.

There was a loud noise all night and no one to report this to, we wish we would’ve had a better room that was in a quieter part of the building some loud noise that sounded like jet engines all night.. beds were also firm for the most part.. was a disappointing anniversary night

I've stayed here many times. It's a great value! Nice to be able to walk to nearby things.

Everything was mostly good for our stay. The only complaint we had was that the shower drain took several minutes to drain so it was a little gross standing in a few inches of water while taking a shower.

Unique, comfortable rooms. Downside, my queen room would have only accommodated one person. There was only one chair to sit in the tv area. Had full kitchen but no table or bar top to sit and eat.

I’m afraid to leave such a great review about this place because I don’t want to get too popular! Visiting my daughter at Roanoke college, and this is the perfect location! The most beautiful building, clean, well run, can’t say enough good things - I will be back!

Wonderful location and an awesome loft-style room .. only downside is NO elevator. My knees cannot go up and down the stairs carrying heavy luggage.

They need better signage; it was a bit difficult to find, but it was a great experience.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Communication by the property owner/manager was excellent. We will definitely be back!
