Very clean and updated for the most part. Trouble getting the TV (small sized) to operate correctly. Same issue with the room next door. Great location. On site restaurant closed for the season.

Disappointed that no coffee in room and not available in the office until 8:00.
Great location to Baseball Hall of Fame Museum!!

Not what we expected for the price. Small room, small screen tv,, no in ròom coffee had to go to office after 8:00, really small bathroom, no facial tissue, shower was great, water was hot, bed was comfortable, wife slept well. Everything was clean.

walls are way to thin, can hear everything in next room.
bed had horrible polyester linens and rug was gross.
the guy at check in could not have been more apathetic.

The lake is beautiful

It has one thing going for it. Location. It’s right on Otsego lake and walking distance from the baseball hall of fame. The room was small and needed updating. . The bed was uncomfortable. I only ended up staying for one night because I had a family issue I needed to attend to unexpectedly. I ended up paying 1500 for one night because in the fine print they don’t refund for checking out early. When I left, my attention was on my family, not on what I was being charged. Signature on a document or not in my opinion it’s bad business practice.

Very motel-like

Nice clean place to stay near the Baseball Hall of Fame

The room was TINY for the price. There was no soap provided. When I informed staff about this at check out they simply said that they would inform housekeeping, but offered no word of apology. The overall attitude of staff was not exactly rude, but certainly not friendly.

Very good location.

Great spot, close to town, and the water.

We were very suprised at the place. The pictures online didn't do it any justice.
Very relaxing atmosphere. Pleasant staff.
The thermostat in the room was difficult to use. But that is my only complaint.
We were pleasantly surprised to get 2-5$ coupons for the on site resturaunt. And a complementary boat tour also on property. We didn't get to use it. However we will be back!
All around good experience. Excellant food too!!

Perfect location with beautiful lake views. Short walk to HoF.

I was there for the Baseball HOF, so you can't beat the location (a five minute walk). It was by the lake with a nice indoor/outdoor restaurant. It's more of a motel than hotel and is a bit dated. I was on the first floor and could hear the people above me walking around and could hear my neighbors talking (thin walls?). Shower was good; bathroom okay; and it had a table in which to work on. No iron or ironing board in the room, which was odd. Also, nearly $400/night which seemed excessive.

Nice little hotel. Wish there was some AM Coffee.
Bed could use some improvement . Sleeping not easy

I stayed here with my daughter while my son was in the Dreams Park tournament. It was absolutely awesome! I was so happy we decided to stay in town where we could walk everywhere while my car stayed parked for free. Housekeeping was awesome every day. The view can't be beat! And we enjoyed the food at the restaurant. Our trip could not have been any better and a BIG part of it was because we stayed here.

Great location. Short walk to Cooperstown and right on lake!

Great location walk to downtown. Beautiful view of the walk, friendly staff, but the rooms are very dated and have a mild dew smell. Many people smoke cigarettes at this location which we didn't like.

Great restaurant/bar and just a block from the Hall of Fame! Right on the lake. Perfect

Close to everything on foot. Right down the street from the Hall. Also it’s right on the lake.

I would have rated this property excellent. It truly was a fantastic location. It is a motel in the true definition of a 1960’s motel. Very cute and kitschy.
Walkable everywhere. I watched a young man spend over an hour one morning dust and sweep every nook and cranny of the exterior building windows, doors, walkway overhang ceiling, stairs. Spotless.
Each doorway had two chairs in front under the window. We read books. It was really sweet. Our room interior and bathroom were just as clean. Not a spot of dust or dirt on anything. Furniture, baseboards, and bathrooms were spotless.
Now here it comes I am sure this is the reason for their prepay in full policy … the owners of this property must address the moisture problem and resulting mold smell. I went to the office and received the response that it was because people leave their ac’s on. Sorry folks you can’t blame that.
I saw reviews mentioned room dampness and damp sheets. Our sheets were absolutely damp. We put the ac setting on dry and this helped. Since we arrived late and were leaving early, we grabbed the emergency breakdown blankets out of the car and slept on those on top of the bed
It is with regret that we cannot recommend the property. It’s really is a shame. This property could be a real goldmine.

I’ll skip right to the unique part of this hotel. We arrived at this hotel during a summer heat wave. Hotel was very nice sitting right on the lake. Room was nice with good air conditioning. However, during the night our air conditioner wasn’t working. We woke up in a sweat which only got worse after showering. When I went to the office ( where the air conditioning was working nicely ) and told them the problem, they asked for my room number than walked over and pushed a button on a control panel and told me I should have the air back in a bit. And I did! But obviously they could control the temperature in each room which they did! We had the same problem the second night! Are you kidding me? A beautiful property the owners have well maintained but have decided to nickel and dime the customers to shave their electric bill (but not when it comes to their office). If you’re staying here in the summer, pack a portable fan! If you’re coming in the winter, maybe pack some blankets!…LOL!…. If I lived to a 100!

Our room smelled of mildew and the walls were paper thin.

Staff are generous and informative.

It is near the lake and you can take a boat ride directly from there. It has an attached restaurant with seating outside too. The check in process was very easy. My only concern was we were on the second floor and my elderly aunt had to take a break going up the stairs. I did not ask if there was an elevator though as I didn't see any signs that there was one. This place was close to my son's wedding venue. All in all it was lt was a pleasant experience!

Just to be clear: the Lake Front Hotel is actually a MOTEL. The door to your room opens onto a parking lot, and other guests walk by the room's only window. So, "charming" is not the word that comes to mind. Maybe overpriced?
Still, our room was clean and quiet, the AC worked nicely and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant was okay, though the service was a bit haphazard.
Also, unless your only reason in visiting is to spend a day at the Baseball Hall of Fame, don't bother staying in the Village of Cooperstown. There's literally nothing else downtown and pizza seemed to be the only food available.

It was very plain and no frills. Neat and clean.

Clearly this is a motel not a hotel. Think more Super 8, less Marriott regardless of price. Room seemed clean enough - but a very deep musty smell in both the room and the front office. Overall a damp feeling in the room. Poor ventilation in the room so all mirrors / windows fogged up with a quick shower. Redeeming qualities / close to town. Lake Front restaurant was good.

It’s a quaint, lake front hotel/motel with an attached restaurant. Setting is very nice, actually picturesque. The large lake is very nice and boating options appear to be available at the marina (we did not use).
We had dinner at the restaurant and the food was quite good with several seafood options as well as more traditional American. Service was fine. A group of six ducks from the marina is allowed to roam the outdoor area of the rest which was a bit distracting (I suppose some guests think they are cute and maybe feed them) but they do occasionally leave small, nature-made messes. Toward the end of our dinner one of the service team dumped a couple of buckets of water with the stated intention of cleaning up the droppings. Not so cool as the water just pooled and puddled under our and another table.
Room was clean and simple (no frills). More motel than hotel. Not really set up for guests to spend much time in them but, hey, Cooperstown is the site of the MLB HoF so most folks aren’t there to spend time in the room. Shower head was very small (almost thought there wasn’t one) and absolutely blasted water at us so had to kind of turn it away from us while taking showers. Bed linen was fine but a bit stiff … pillow cases were either starched or made from some kind of stiff-ish material which was a little odd but not a big deal.
The HVAC units are the Daiken single room units which, once you figure out the remote controls, work out fine.
Would repeat.

The property and the room were wonderful. But, our room had a humidity problem. Other than that we’d stay any time we’d go there!!

Great location! Walking distance to the Hall of Fame and shops and restaurants. We took a boat ride on the Glimmerglass Queen offered by the hotel. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!
