The stay was normal until I had breakfast, for which I had previously paid, and I had to pay for it again because they did not take responsibility for the Orbitz sale.

We stayed at Kimpton during the hurricane Beryl and we felt safe and well informed by the staff all the time. The hotel has really great facilities and the interior is awesome. Food was good too. We can recommend Kimpton for a few days stay.

We lived the free bikes and friendly staff. The rooms were super spacious. Pools were beautiful and complimentary happy hour was a win!!

The Kimpton Aluna was a great place to stay near the beaches and DT Tulum. Rooms are spotless and friendly for the price. The food here was delicious. They also have a social hour every day with free drinks and food. Helpful staff that will help you reserve excursions or restaurants. I would definitely recommend this place. FYI, the area around it is under construction, so it might feel a bit undone. I'm sure in a few years this area will transform.

Love this place! Even offered to make dinner for our dog. When we got to room a dog bed and food/water dishes there and they sparkled!

This hotel property is gorgeous, with 2 open-air buildings, lush greenery and a beautiful ground floor pool with a swim up bar. The staff is extra helpful and I appreciated the welcoming ceremony upon arrival. However, the area isnât the safest (compared to the previous hotel I stayed at about 10-15 mins away) because my kids and I were advised to âbe back before darkâ when we walked to nearby Carls Jr. for dinner one evening. Also my iPad was pickpocketed from my bag while waiting for the tour van to arrive at a nearby supermarket.
There were other things within the hotel itself that were less than satisfactory â there were two cockroaches (I think they were cockroaches in my room), one in the shower and one on the floor (only got a pic of the one on the floor). Also there were a lot of leaves in the pool as if it wasnât cleaned often.
Other than that, everyone at the hotel is extremely nice. The food is amazing! (But expensive) Beware of the âresort feesââsomething I didnât see or wasnât clearly mentioned when booking on Expedia.

The hotel was really nice and quiet. The rooms are a nice size and bed was comfortable. Love the shower. Had a king bed with balcony which was nice. Tulum is still doing a lot of construction and the area is within a walking distance to food, store and restaurant about a 10-15 minute or you can ride the bike.

Our stay at Kimpron Aluna was just perfect for our little family. Modern, clean, cute, super friendly staff especially the General Manager Jorge and centrally located for getting to the town center, beaches and local sightseeing. If you donât need the beach and are travelling with kids this is highly recommended!

Itâs a nice, pretty average hotel. No complains overall. No major excitement. It was a bit slow when we stayed there.

The food prices were ridiculous. I ordered just a plain small hamburger patty for my dog and they charged me $24. That was American dollars and not Mexican pesos. And that didnât include the tip.

Fantastic and relaxing experience! Staff are super attentive and friendly.

Great place, but has enormous "resort fees" that didn't appear in what I thought I would be paying. Price went from $150/night to $250/night by the time those were added in. Be careful!

The service was absolutely amazing! Edward went above and beyond I have never felt so safe and at home while staying at a hotel! The food was amazing as we did breakfast included, also the place was clean and while it was not located on the hotel zone it was like 10mins away via taxi⊠they also helped with transportation and excursions booking! I had an amazing birthday because of my stay here!

Everything was good but No coffee machine or hot water kettle in the room makes it inconvenient to get a basic cup of tea as you have to walk across to the coffee shop.

This place is amazing and so relaxing. I love the costumer service provided.

Loved the smaller boutique vibe to the Kimpton. They made us feel most welcome, especially my pup who had his own dog bed and custom made doggy treats delivered in-room. The buffet breakfast was a bit lacking and the property could add lounge chairs around the pool. Do not use the ATM machine onsite as the charges are beyond egregious. The service was wonderful and overall highly recommend staying here.

Amazing place. Very nice interior design, high quality furniture and decoration. One of the best in Tulum.

This hotel is very clean and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff.
There was no hot water for showers and there was a random fee of about 75 US dollars when we checked out that came out of no where that did not even seem to coincide with the dollar to peso exchange rate. My husband speaks Spanish really well and the staff couldnât seem to explain what it was.

Lovely property, lovely staff, quiet but central location with easy access to beach or town. A car is useful in Tulum but taxiâs are plentiful.
Stay on the 2nd or 3rd floors.

Small property organized and well kept. Nice balcony over looking pool, decent restaurants the chicken dinner was bomb. My only complaint is the spa prices are very high and Iâm speaking as a massage therapist. But itâs what hotel spas charge. Great stay overall close to everything.

The property is small but very beautiful once you get familiar with it. The room smelled amazing and very cleanX When I arrived there were some stray dog they let roam on the property. Also some cat every once in a while youâll see. Also I didnât like that made me pay $40 deposit in cash on an excursion just for the excursion to make me pay full price plus some. Rip off. They did try to help so great customer service.

Had a 5 night stay and enjoyed it. Hotel was well located, clean and had a great staff (Edward was great to deal with). Highly recommended if you want to stay off the beach zone.

It was ok and will not recommend any one.

Hotel is located next to multiple construction sides, the area is basically under construction. Very far away from the beach, restaurant in the hotel as well as outside were super expensive. I hurt my finger by getting it between the unsafe terrace door - front desk did claim to not have bandaids (no first aid kits??) and sent me to convenience store. Felt pretty unsafe afterwards as they do not seem to be able to accommodate even the smallest emergencies. Absolutely not worth 260$ (!!!) per night.

FLL airport was closed due to weather, I called this property to notify I couldnât arrive for my girls trip. They wouldnât accommodate with a credit and or refund, terrible customer service. How can one stay if the airport is closed, how can I arrive. Very disappointed đą that they couldnât accommodate due to a rare issue of the whole airport being closed.
