Compared to other girls we stayed in outside of Tokyo, this was pretty poor value and we had poor experience with the staff. it was twice the rate we paid elsewhere and half the size of any of the rooms we had outside Tokyo. We did arrive early and while it's been no bother at other hotels across the country, Lamp Lights wanted to charge us for 1.75 hrs. Breakfast was nice enough but the coffee average.

Modern hotel that seemed up to date. The room was quite clean and sufficient enough space for 2 people + 2 small suitcases. Highly recommend for those looking to stay in Fukuoka. The area is very walkable with plenty of shopping, food, and accessibility to local attractions. Cafe downstairs is a huge perk for those looking to start the day with caffeine and breakfast!
4.7
Room size is very small, we are having a twin room, basically no room to put/open your luggage.
4.7
A lovely hotel which is very convenient and quite comfy. Lots of restaurants, convenient stores and shops nearby. The room is a bit small like other rooms in Japan but it is fine for 1-2 people. The only problem is the air conditioner. It showed that the room temperature was 19/20°C but I believed that the actual temperature was much higher than that and I sweat when I slept.

This hotel is WONDERFUL. Even before you walk in, you are excited to stay because the neighborhood you walk through to reach it is trendy, interesting, and friendly. The hotel is beautiful -- tastefully decorated. The staff was so kind and professional. The room was compact yet perfectly formed -- everything you could want was somehow masterfully designed in (eg a desk, a cushioned chair, mini fridge, and kettle). The biggest surprise was the inordinately large bathroom with a shower and a separate tub!!! Highly recommend! Am dying to go back!!!

This hotel was amazing in many ways; it was close to the main streets and surrounded by many delicious restaurants. However, the rooms seem a bit small, as my big suitcase could not stay in the bed area as there would've been too little room to move around and I had to put it into the shower.

The hotel was conveniently located around 10-15mins walk from different stations like Tenjin, Tenjin-Minami, Akasaka stations as well as surrounded by many cafes, food stores and convenience stores too. Taking the subway or a taxi from the airport was easy too.
The hotel breakfast was lovely with various croissant and drink options that you could specify the evening before. We had a good week-long stay and throughout, the room was clean, very comfy and staff were always so friendly. Would definitely stay here again in the future!

The hotel was amazing with a 24H cafe downstairs. Loved the vibe & their friendly services. Only concern was the evacuation stairs was locked when we encountered an earthquake, confirmed with the front desk that it’s always locked. Lol

easy to access near tenjin

Nice staff, you can even have patio with this price

Great stay and quite convenient but need around 10mins walk to the station.

Nice atmosphere in the ground level café with good coffee and cake. The outside is rather noisy, especially on a weekend night, but with closed windows it's quite ok. There was a balcony on our room, but with no view to speak of, there was little reason to step outside. There's only one elevator, so during busy times, one might have to wait quite a while to get up or down.

About 10 to 15 min walk from Tenjin station. Surrounded by restaurants, check-in lobby is also a cafe. The main corridor is narrow and was always stuffed with people checking in and out and outside customers queuing up for beverages and food.
Bed sheet was not that clean, found a few dirt and hair. However, bathtub and shower area was very clean. The mattress was not the soft type and can support your back. The room has good sound proof and it's very quiet at night.

This is one of my favorite hotel stays on my trip to Japan! My family of 3 stayed in the room with the bunk bed. My son loved having his own little space to sleep. While the room was a little on the small side every inch was utilized perfectly and it ended up being the perfect cozy retreat after a day of sightseeing. Another big plus was the amazing soaking tub. We also loved the free breakfast and hip neighborhood. We will most definitely be back!
4.7
Clean and modern, well situated and friendly efficient staff. Rooms are quite small, but so well designed that they work comfortably.

We spent two nights in this hotel. The room is on the small side just like many Japanese hotel. It’s quite new and clean. It’s well equipped with everything you need, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, slippers and all other hygienic products you need in the lobby if you need them. It’s not the closest to the train station but it’s not a difficult walk, maybe about 10 minutes away from Tenjin station. The hotel has a 24 hours cafe in the ground floor and lots of restaurants and stores near by for shopping and eating. It can be a bit noisy at night if you are not a deep sleeper. Overall a very pleasant stay here.

very good location, staff helpful

Room is small, location is good. Counter service is not good, number of staff is not enough. Check-in and out need some additional time.
4.7
Terrific stay in a great area. Hotel was super clean and quiet and modern. Wonderful helpful staff.
4.7
Both my husband and I enjoyed the nice library on the first floor. The staff is very nice and helpful. So many nice and enjoyable stores, coffee shops and restaurants are in walking distances. Only thing we would like to change next time is to get a bigger room. The standard twin room we stayed was quite small.

Lovely hotel ideally located in Fukuoka. Room had a nice balcony and a nice view. Staff was extra nice and super helpful!

This was a very well kept and welcoming hotel in the middle of Daimyo. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and the room was bright and absolutely spotless. The coffee and breakfast was very good too.
4.7
The Daimyo area in Fukuoka is a great area. The hotel was clean and the staff was excellent. The pricing was fair and made it possible for me to spend additonal funds on other things.

I really like the concept of the hotel. Being a book lover, makes me feel right at home! The room is a little small. But for the budget I have and from the options that I have explored, this seem to be normal in Japan. Regardless of the size, the room was clean. The bathroom is quite spacious. The water pressure in the shower was nice. The staff doesn't speak that much English but it is not that big of a problem with google translate. They were very nice and helpful. The hotel was a bit of a walk from the subway station. But we enjoyed exploring the area on our walks back to the hotel every night. There is quite a big shopping area nearby and a lot of young people hanging out in the evening. We saw some people who got a bit carried away by the beers on Friday night but it was rather funny to watch then threatening. There are also a lot of good restaurants near the hotel. I didn't regret not getting the hotel breakfast because there were so many other options for us to explore. In Japan, getting good food would be your least concern. All in all, it was a lovely stay. I would come stay here again!
4.7
Great location. Lots happening in the area for food and drink. Property is clean and has a great cafe vibe to it. Small rooms but still very good value for money.
4.7
This was our fifth stop on a 2 week tour of Japan and was disappointing. Considering we paid the most for this stay, it compared unfavourably to everywhere else we have stayed. The bed and pillows were uncomfortable and the blinds did not block out the light. It was also the smallest room we have stayed in. Only one lift and 2 washing machines for 8 floors was also problematic. On top of this, due to the fact that that hotel also operates as a cafe (always full of people working or studying) you just did not get the feeling that you were in a welcoming hotel. Staff did nothing to help this either.

Would stay again - perfect.

This was such an awesome place to stay in Fukuoka, the neighborhood was filled with great restaurants and shopping. Would happily stay here again.

We didn’t know that we had to order and pay for the breakfast on checkin
