I had a lovely time at the Davies Inn. It was really quaint and comfortable. My room was nice , the bed was really comfortable. I really enjoyed the daily coffee French press at breakfast . Definitely recommend if you look for something quiet

A very well run bed-and-breakfast in the heart of Medford. Walkable to many places and the T is a short walk or Uber right away.

Well organized and maintained. A cute little BnB.
5.0
Excellent location, close to Davis Square and Tufts which was our reason for visiting. Short walk to the T to get into downtown Boston and many fine restaurants nearby. House was in great shape and there was a pleasant sitting room which even had a cat to pet.
6.0
It is clean and quiet, but not convenient.
If you have lot of luggage it will be hard because there's no elevator for 2nd and 3rd floor room. If you stay more than one or two days, there is no laundry facility either. The 3rd floor room is essentially attic room

The house was nice. But our room had a musty smell to it. Not sure if it was from the a/c or the carpeting in the room. But other than that we found the bed nice and the location was good for getting into downtown.

Great stay, reasonable price for being close to Downtown Boston and easy to access transportation. Clean room and shared bathroom, 24/7 air conditioned. Would stay again.

This was a well priced option near Cambridge and walking distance to Davis Square. We stayed here for a few nights to visit friends and had a very comfortable experience. Would stay again!

Very beautiful place- clean- property in very good condition, nice big rooms- the owners are very kind, breakfast was good, the owner was baking for us delicious pastries every day, we will definitely go back

Really cute classic BnB. Great breakfast. It was a little weird we never saw the hosts

We loved the ease of check in and the ability to walk to restaurants. It was on a quiet street and super clean!

The room was cozy and bathroom was clean and shower was great. It's a house and not super sound proof so the mornings are a little noisy with everyone getting up and doing their morning routine so if you're a light/ late sleeper this may not be the best spot for you. The upside is that it definitely feels nice being in a house and not a sterile hotel. The morning snacks like fresh banana bread were great and the tea selection was really good as well. I was pleasantly surprised that there was parking on site which was a bonus. The Davis Square neighborhood is great- lots of restaurants, bars, coffee shops, pizza and even a 100 year old movie theater and music venue all within a few blocks- and buses and subway 2 blocks away (and 2 BlueBike rental kiosks within 2 blocks). I would definitely recommend this place and I would definitely book again.

Property was pleasant, clean, thoughtfully renovated and safe and quiet.
Would like a full cooked breakfast.

Dear Susan, Linde and Rod, thank you very much for the wonderful time in your B&B. I really enjoyed the cosy breakfasts with fresh cake and the nice evening discussions with the other guests. See you soon. With kind regards from Stralsund, Edgar

Lovely inn, room was well organized and had all conveniences, very clean, beautiful garden with outdoor seating available

I required a place to stay during a course, and this was a great location for me because I did not need certain amenities like a fitness center, but needed a safe and clean place for rest and freshening up at the end of the day. It was clean, check-in was simple and smooth, and it had all the things needed in a hotel room. This is a beautiful old historic home on a really nice street, and, fortunately, has air conditioning and nicely upgraded bathrooms. I did not have time to experience the breakfast set up but it looked very nice. The broader neighborhood has many restaurants and shops which are also great and easily accessible.

Unfortunately, the room and the bed were super small and especially for that expensive price inappropriate. I had to share a small bed with my father who has back problems and we had two pretty sleepless nights. The mattress was not comfortable and we could barely walk in that tiny room. The options for breakfast were also very limited. The house is very pretty and cozy and clean, and we liked the atmosphere. The main issue was the small room and bed for such an expensive price.

The Davis Inn is our second home when we visit our daughter in Somervilke.

I stayed here for the Boston Marathon and I truly enjoyed everything about the property and the area. The property was not far at all from the T and the T can bring you right into Boston where everything was going on. There were multiple options for food and drinks within walking distance. I felt completely safe walking around! The property itself was very neat and clean. They offered an off street parking area if you drove a vehicle there. There were complimentary light breakfast items available every morning. The house and individual rooms stayed locked and closed at all times with easy to understand directions for getting in and out. Lots of posted information all over the house to ensure that the guests knew how to work everything and find everything. If you are a cat lover then you will love the fact they have an indoor/outdoor cat there. The cat was very friendly to me and I definitely made a friend. For those allergic to cats, don’t worry because the cat does not go into the individual rooms! I will definitely keep this property in mind for the next time I travel to Boston!

Very easy check in and walking distance to restaurants and transit (T system) to get in and out of the city easily. We were on 3rd floor in the 'comfort room' and although the room was cozy and comfortable, the wall between the two rooms up there isn't insulated so we could hear every conversation and in/our of our neighbor as well as all guests coming up/down stairs. It's an old house so not totally unexpected, but something to be aware of if you want to settle in early for any reason.

Very happy with our stay. We chose Davis Square Inn for the very close subway stop and were happy to find a lot of dining options in easy walking distance. Check in was easy and breakfast food were fresh and tasty. Definitely would stay again!

Well appointed Inn in a 150 year old Victorian. Great location only 2 blocks from David Square & The Red Line. Our room was large and comfortable, facing the street. Breakfast was provided every morning self serve with fresh muffins.
Our only complaint was noisy guests checking in at 2am & schlepping luggage up wooden stairs to 3rd floor room above us. This cannot be fixed in a Victorian without adding carpet runners to the stairs. Guess that inconvenience was a small price to pay for a reasonably priced, comfortable 3-night stay in one of Boston’s ‘grand old ladies’.

Perfectly lovely B&B. Very newly refurbished. Very nice in every way.

A great local bed and breakfast with walkable access to local universities

Our day and a half in Boston was pretty disappointing as parking and traffic downtown were very frustratining. The only redeeming feature of our trip was the 2 nights at the Davis Inn. We found it to be a peaceful, comfortable, place in the midst of Cambridge/Sommerville area. We would
recommend it to anyone.

Wonderful historic property. Room was spacious with a balcony, air conditioning and beautiful bathroom. We could be at the train station in 5 min walking. Very nice owners.

I do like the character of older houses especially when they offer all the modern amenities. The room was clean and comfortable with a microwave and fridge/freezer combo. The room had features well suited to my elderly age group. Easy access to premises. Well located for days in Boston and environs.

Just OK. Location was great, street was quiet, exterior was pleasant, with a side yard and perennial garden. Breakfast was nice, with fresh cut fruit, selection of cereals, muffins on the table. The room was a hodge-podge of furnishings, however. I don't expect luxury furnishings, but the furnishings were a random selection of stuff thrown in the room. The TV, cable box, controller, and cables were all over the wall - just poor attention to detail. There was a refrigerator, but it was in the bathroom (?). Also, I was on the first floor (Clarendon Room), and I heard everyone walking upstairs. There are heavy curtains on the windows, but no light-filtering shades, so you have a choice of pitch dark or blazing sun in the morning. I think they just need to pay more attention to the niceties.
