Absolutely amazing host was exceptionally helpful

My partner and I selected this hotel due to the price and location. This is not a hotel with a reception, it's rooms located off the main street. It was easy to find, and information and response from the staff was excellent. The room was spacious and clean on arrival, great location anf very quiet at night. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely book again if we were back in Berlin. Thanks

Even though the this is advertised as a hotel, it is not. These are basically "hotel" rooms in a courtyard off the street. There is no reception, no breakfast. This place is a max of 4 rooms (let it be more) in an apartment block facing the courtyard. I believe this is a large apartment that was turned into a few hotel rooms. The room was okay. The ventilator made low noise.

Inceckning - good
Location - very good
Cleaning - bad

Amazing place, great location and the cosiest room in Kreutzberg. Ella was so helpful and made it very easy to arrive, check-in and park right by the place.
A real Berlin experience and Kreutzberg is impossible to beat.

Nice stay, but can be loud on the weekends in the summer when windows are open to let a breeze in. The bathtub and large bathroom was great for a romantic stay, but the bed could have used 2 more pillows
4.6
Lovely room in a slightly unconventional setting of a former chocolate factory. The neighborhood is amazing and the room very quite which is a plus in Berlin.
4.6
The room we got - number 8 - was not like pictured at all. It was very small, no exposed brick. Courtyard was lit all night and window to the courtyard had no blackout curtains so the room was bright as day all night. Location was excellent though and extremely safe. Bed pretty comfortable.

The room was comfortable, and pretty newly renovated. The location is in a quiet courtyard, set back from the busy road.
But, don't go if you are from the UK. The power points in our room won't accept UK plugs with adapters. These are the same adapters I have used in other German hotels. We tried five different adapters. There's a problem with the sockets.
I mentioned this to the manager, and his response was "This is a German hotel, and as long as German people's appliances work, that is all that matters."
There's a clear implication here for Brits. Don't come.
I also mentioned that our room hadn't been cleaned, and he simply shrugged and said that they didn't have a cleaner every day.
On arrival, we needed some help, so rang the number given (as there's nobody on site), but there was no answer, no answering machine even, and nobody rang back.
I said to the manager that we weren't complaining, as this was at the end of our stay, but thought it would be helpful to give him some feedback. He responded that he would give me feedback, and basically told me to get lost. Really, Basil Fawlty is alive and well, and living in Berlin.
Such a shame, really, that it could be a good hotel, but it's so terribly, terribly badly run

Huge room, on the ground floor but in a quiet backyard.
The blinding lights in the yard outside the window were on all night and were a little annoying
4.6
Well run and maintained. Quiet but easy access to busy Kreuzberg shopping area, bars, restaurants, market, parks and good range of shopping. Nice relaxing location for visit.

lovely rooms and very helpful staff.

This place is awesome. This was my second stay here and they truly go above and beyond.
The rooms are super spacious and have everything you need.
The staff even reached out for check in to make it as easy as possible. Timo was so dedicated and helpful! I will definitely come back here again!
It’s such a great walking distance as well as close to all trains and busses!

Great place to stay in the neighbourhood, very clean and cosy, friendly hospitality, really good value for money! :-)

Super friendly and helpful staff at the reception, very spacious room and bath.

This site is totally misrepresented on Expedia. Poor representation. We could not get in after a delayed plane…. We thought we were going to a hotel … it is a dingy solid metal door … you needed to prearrange access which we did not know.
It is a horrible place and poor device basically being told it’s not there problem that at1 AM HAD US SEEKING A PKAVE YO STAY.

Helpful staff, comfortable room, convenient location!

Our room was too noisy and poorly lit.

Liked: Good location. Self check-in. Well designed large room. Good shower. Good for the price and reviewing based on it being 3 star.
Disliked: Really noisy due to nearby bar/parties. It was really hot and as there is no aircon we needed the windows open. We averaged 4-5 hours sleep because of this. Probably fine if you are planning to be out until early hours though as it is quiet in the day. No water or coffee was unexpected. Doors were super hard to open (gate and main building). We thought there was a cafe but that looked closed down.

Very nice little hotel

Great, large room, very clean and quiet plus accommodating staff. Would highly recommend this place!

Great communication, easy self check in. I was solo and fept aafe. The room was large and i had a terrace too

We self checked in and the directions were really clear. There was tea available in the common area. Clean beds and toilet. The room was towards the back of a coutyard and was very quiet. Very central location in Berlin with lots of good restaurants and road side food available. Highly recommend

It is an ok place but given the quality too expensive

Fabulous Hotel in an amazing location. Ella on reception is an absolute joy. Very smiley happy and helpful. We had a very early flight so arrived early and the cleaning lady went above and beyond to get our room ready asap. Very spacious lovely room. Fantastic experience from start to finish. Can't wait to return.

The location was great for transport and shopping with plenty of excellent cafes, restaurants, supermarkets, etc.
The apartment was very clean and has an excellent bathroom.
Our room was very quiet.
4.6
Room size was good and it was clean. But, this so called "hotel" has no lobby, no front-desk, no security...
Although there was regular cleaning service. It was more like a room in a building was being advertised and rented. Had to stop at the coffeeshop outside the property to get the room key. Coffee shop is only open 11AM-6PM. Outside those times there is an emergency number to call. Like I said there is no onsite 24×7 front-desk.
Also, this room is in a mixed residential/commercial building. Lots of early morning traffic (5:30AM) and loud banging of metal doors by people who are going to work etc.
Staff that we met were nice though.
