This is an adorable collection of 11 cabins -- All seem to be decorated and equipped differently, but ours was so nice inside: rustic and comfortable. Bedding was great, linens were nice, kitchen was well-equipped and the location was perfect! We were only there one night, but the central use area would have been fun, especially for multi-family or multi-friend groups. So Recommend It. (and it cost less than near-by hotel!)

It was a little two bed cottage, perfect for my needs. I was there for the Rumble on the River bike rally. After riding I could just come back and relax. I had neighbors on both sides very friendly.

Great country motel cabins. Clean & comfortable. One block walk to best part of town or the 11th Street Cowboy Bar. But those patio chairs need to go. Us old guys can barely get out of them - almost have to call the office for assistance.

This was the perfect quiet rural getaway for my wife and I! During the stay, we were treated to local cuisines, crafts, history, and wildlife. Deer actually walked by our cabin along with ducks eating deer corn right next to me on our front porch! Very awesome relaxing environment! Bring bug spray of course!

Only complaint was that toilet too close to the wall. Very quaint rustic motif and comfortable beds. Nice outside view with roaming ducks. Chairs could be a bit wider and Roku TV needed a reset as it was not responsive. Great location and friendly staff.

Wow wow! This place is amazing. From the staff, cute little cabins, amenities to make you feel like you are camping out, this is the place to go! Extra special- we were celebrating a birthday and Mother’s Day and received a hugely thoughtful gift from the staff! Thank you for making our first stay, the best stay!

There was no one at the reception when I arrived at 6pm (not at midnight, not at 8pm!!) at the property. They left the key for the cabin in an envelope. There is nobody I could ask how the TV works, it is a silly TV! The windows don't open even though they look like they can be opened. This place is not run down, but for the price it is really terrible. It is not worth 136 USD. I would like to claim a refund. Can you take it up with the property?? Heinz Wilhelm, Ambassador (rtd)

We loved our cabin and Tracy at the office was very informative, friendly and welcoming. The cabin was clean and had a nice kitchenette with a sink and everything we could have needed was furnished in the cabin. We could walk to the park and river across the street as well as to shops, bars and restaurants. We also liked the visit from the ducks, geese and deer and we were given a baggie of dried corn to feed them. We would definitely recommend The Vaquero for a stay in Bandera.

Great location for quick access in and out of town. Near the major highway so road noise was a bit of issue if you wanted to sit out in the evening and enjoy the surroundings. Internet was unstable - went in and out, but we weren't there for TV and just used cellular for phones so not a big issue. Lock on our cabin door was missing the faceplate - there was apparently a previous attempt to break in as the top door hinge was sort of repaired, but we did feel safe. Bed was SUPER comfortable!! Shower was a bit small, but had hot water! Fun little property with horseshoes, cornhole and great places to sit out. Area was well maintained and plenty of parking. Good spot for the money!

The cabins have been updated along with the the grounds. Park and river across the street with deer arriving nightly. Beds are comfortable. Fire pits and wood for individual fires and a larger area for group fire.

Staff wasn’t overly friendly and neighbors were not the nicest. When we were there this was definitely not a good place for families. We were scheduled for two days and left after one. The cottages themselves look much better from the outside. Furniture was a little run down and the place wasn’t cleaned very well.

This is a basic, no frills cabin which is walking distance to town. Very clean, cutely decorated and had the added bonus of individual fire pits with wood provided. Only negative was the mattress, but I think thats being addressed. We will definitely stay here again!

Liked the private cabins. Didn’t like the road noise but we were in #11. I’m sure many of the others weren’t as susceptible to the road noise as they were much further away. But the white noise unit at bedside hmmmm Elle’s a lot. We’ll come again!

My husband and I love to stay at this Motel. This was our second visit and once again it was awesome. Always great friendly professional service. They truly care about their guests !! I would highly recommend a stay here. If you don’t you will miss out.

My fiancée and I stayed here, and it was a great experience. The cabins were clean and modern, and were walking distance from the shops and restaurants. Tracy, the property manager, was beyond awesome. Very friendly and made sure our stay was positive. We will definitely be back soon.

Great visit. Love that Mgr called to check on us when we were running late getting there and made sure we had our key even when we showed up after the office closed. They took care of us. Located within walking distance to restaurants and shopping. We will be back!

It was a huge improvement from the original owners and everything has been upgraded very nicely. The only thing I didn’t like was the bed in cabin 5 slumped in the middle and we both rolled to the middle of the bed throughout the night. Also the outside lighting in cabin 4 shined right on us while we were outside trying to enjoy a romantic fire pit and the light stayed on all night.

Unique property that creates a very enjoyable environment. The fire pit and chairs are where we spent most of our night. The couple in the cabin next to ours were regulars at The Vaquero, in town on a hunting trip. They told us about many of the improvements to the property over the past few years. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners who were in town to personally decorate for the holiday season. We stayed in cabin/room 4. It was clean and equipped as expected. Mini fridge, coffee maker, flat screen tv, comfortable bed. Fire wood was provided for the pit out front. If I could change 1 thing about our room it would be the bathroom layout. When we arrived and checked in we were give fire starter, corn to feed the deer and chickens, and stuff to make smores. The staff was very friendly. The property also has a large covered cooking area in the center with a smoker and corn hole boards. The Vaquero would be a great spot for a large group, MC, or family get-together. Overall, we will likely stay again next time we are in Bandera.

This is my favorite place to stay in Bandera. The staff is so nice to have and beyond accommodating. Everything is nice and so clean. It is such a relaxing place to stay. Convenient and walking distance to everything. I love this place!!!
