I would recommend cleaning the spiderwebs from the outside kitchen windows. That creeped me out as I am terrified of spidérs otherwise the home was clean and comfortable. My husband was happy for the lounge chair. Missed having a Keurig but we were able to improvise. Would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again.

Very quaint property that is close to Main Street. We parked when we checked in and walked to enjoy our Mt Airy Andy Griffith experience. The house was clean, well decorated, and had comfortable beds. This place is perfect if you want to enjoy a Mayberry experience! We went for the 4th of July and enjoyed a Declaration of Independence reading, the Mt. Airy 4th of July parade and fireworks. The only time we drove was the 1 mile trip to the fireworks

Cute little house within an easy walk to downtown Mt. Airy. It's also very close to the riverside park and greenway trails. The house was a good size and had very comfortable beds. Would stay there again!

Very CLEAN, we give it 6 socks of approval! 😊 It was close to everything. Everything was as it should have been. We enjoyed our stay, hassle free. The neighbors even gave us good food advise!! If ever back this way, I would definitely stay here again! Thank you for sharing your place with us!!

House was as advertised. Was very convenient for getting to all the downtown shops and could have easily walked. The house welcome book and I believe the online description mention this, which were spot on, in that the only downside of this house is backing out of the driveway onto road. It's kind of tricky with the 4-lane road and being on a hill. Other than that, everything was perfect.

We had a very nice time in Mt Airy. The house right in town and we could walk to the stores. We enjoyed staying there and the book on what it looked like before and after was a big hit with us. This house served all our needs and we would stay there again

This was our first trip to Mt Airy and this home was a perfect place to stay. We were close to everything and got to enjoy walking to some "must sees" in town! Home was clean and roomy. The kitchen was the highlight for us, such a nice "farm house" feel. Would definitely stay again!

3 of us stayed here comfortably for the weekend for a wedding in Westfield. It was a convenient location, the home was clean and warm which was great as we got in late and it was quite chilly outside. We didn’t get to utilize the outdoor balcony/seating areas due to the weather but they were cute! The tiny fridge and small door to the bathroom were hilarious to us! Would recommend!

The home owner was easy to communicate with and the property was beautifully remodeled. You'll still need to drive since the home is on a main road, but everything is VERY close. There is parking for downtown Mt. Airy right down the road and then everything else is walking distance from there. We were able to do all the Mayberry/Andy Griffith attractions, such as the squad tour ride at Wally's and museum, as well as antiquing, shopping, and touring the Gertrude Smith House. There are many things to do in the area, such as a state park close by. All the local places to eat are excellent. We recommend Snappy Lunch, as well as places you can drive to in minutes -- The Black Derby, 13 Bones, Olympia Family Restaurant, etc. We had a wonderful time and would definitely return.

Overall the cottage was great. The big or ant traps placed around the cottage was a little disturbing- but there were no bugs-just a couple of aggravating flys. i couldn’t tell that the bed sheets were freshly cleaned-there was a Febreeze smell about them-I like opening the sheets when they’re wrapped in something indicating they were sanitized & I put them on the bed. Overall, I would recommend this property.

This is a lovely and updated 1930s house. Close to downtown and the restaurants that we like. The bed was comfortable and the living room and kitchen were spacious. The owner is generous with toiletries and supplies. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in town for one night as we passed through, and the location was perfect in relationship to downtown. There were plenty of amenities and restaurants also choices of food delivery services. I would highly recommend a stay of any length at this quaint historic home. Everything was laid out perfectly and the environment seemed very private and Hometown feeling. Should I pass through Mount Airy again, it will be one of my first choices to stay.

Pros... Great renovation on a cool old house. Near bike path along the river, which was perfect! Super close to restaurants and shops on Main Street. Beds were clean and very comfortable. Cons... The bathroom floor had urine around the base of the toilet that we had to clean up. The smell was awful! The shower curtain liner was filthy with mold and mildew. You know, when it turns that slimy pink color with black mildew spots? I messaged the host and asked if we could get a new liner and we'd be happy to replace it. It took the entire day to get a response, then he offered to bring one the next morning. When we check out from a 2 night stay. That really wasn't helpful so we said we'd make do. Some of the items in the kitchen are on open shelves and need some cleaning. Previous guests left the propane on on the deck, and we couldn't use the fire pit. I hope we just had an "off" experience because this house could be quite a gem

Loved all the little outdoor spaces this house has. We thoroughly enjoyed the "sleeping porch". Great place to read a book or play cards. If I had to say anything negative, the pillows on the beds are a little musty and could use a good toss in a dryer with a fabric sheet, but other than that, great little place to stay, Within walking distance of all the attractions and restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful time staying in this lovely little home. It’s perfectly located, close to everything in Mount Airy! It was very clean and beds we’re comfortable. Loved the original charm of the place! The only thing I saw, (which wasn’t a problem for us, because we didn’t do any cooking), is the refrigerator was a little small for someone getting groceries to cook meals. It was very cute and went well with the decor, however! We would definitely stay here again. 😁

Updated older home minutes walk to restaurants and shops. We spent one night after hiking at Pilot Mt. The home had a cute kitchen - so we decided to eat in and relax and enjoy the quaintness of the home. The deck and electric fire pit was a nice surprise. Beds were comfy and the cleanliness of the home was excellent. Would definitely come back.

Cozy house with good location! We enjoyed ourselves, everything was great! Didn't get to enjoy all amenities because of our short stay & busy schedule. Only con is could of used a few more kitchen things such as toaster & microwavable cookware. Host was great! Always answering messages promptly! Thank you!
