My friends and I absolutely adored our stay here. Downingtown is such a beautiful and charming town, and the house was gorgeous. We loved the inviting dining room and sun room looking over the creek. We enjoyed going out into the town for dinners and taking nice walks during the day at the park.

It was something out of a story book. The Downingtown Manor Farmhouse was amazing! We had the best holiday with our children and family near by. The Manor was very clean and had everything we needed. The big Kitchen farm table allowed us to gather and talk while enjoying our meals. The family room held all of us (5 adults) with room to spare around the fireplace and TV. Beds were comfortable in spacious bedrooms. We will be back for Thanksgiving! Thank you to the hosts!

This beautiful solid stone house is beautifully decorated with soothing colors; super quiet inside to relax and unwind. On Friday night, the local park had a live band for us to enjoy from the convenience of the comfy lounge furniture in the sunroom. It's a close drive to major attractions (i.e.: Longwood Gardens, Vineyards with yoga on the lawn, pontoon ride on Marsh Creek Lake, etc.). The neighborhood is very walkable with pretty gardens to stop and enjoy. Morning chats with the neighbors yielded great gardening guidance! The kitchen has everything to cook/bake. We loved gathering at the ample dining table every morning and evening. Best treat was the quick two blocks walk to the local ice cream shop where service is "with a smile", free donut, and yummy flavors. Blueberry pomegranate was delicious! If you are a coffee lover, the kindred Farm coffee house next door offers a beautiful, restful spot to sip and enjoy fresh baked goods. Hosts could not have been nicer with great communication. Tenant, Fred, on the lower level was friendly on our arrival and unobtrusive/elusive for our entire stay. Our little group of four friends had plenty of room to spread out, call home, and read without intruding on each other.

Second stay! Such a lovely place with a beautiful sun room to enjoy morning coffee. Close to parks, restaurants and a great Farmers Market on Saturday morning during the summer. Mark and Michele were so easy to communicate with and made their home very welcoming.

The day before our arrival, the owners sent us two emails; one to clarify the check in process (very easy), the other with clear, concise directions to the property. Upon opening the front door, we knew we made the right choice! This is a beautiful older home, built @ 1900 of materials from a barn that was on the property at the time. Everything we needed was clean and where you'd expect to find it. All the rooms are nicely decorated and comfortable. At the time of our visit, the weather was not ideal; somewhat chilly and wet for late June, but there is plenty to do in the area and even if there weren't, we would have been happy just staying in the house, taking advantage of the amenities, which include a shuffleboard and a beautiful light-filled side porch overlooking the Brandywine. I could go on, but suffice to say that none of us (me, my wife and two friends) wanted to leave! We hope that Downingtown Manor is available the next time we visit the area. If so, it will be our only choice!
