About this house rental
Updated historic home in the heart of Anchorage. Built in 1947 and updated in recent years; the perfect base for Alaska adventure near downtown Anchorage, the University/Medical District and the petroleum companies.
Originally built in 1947 by an Anchorage-based flight surgeon, this home has been upgraded and expanded from its original log home footprint. The house features a massive, luxury 750 sq ft private master suite, including walk-in, two-person shower plus a separate corner jetted tub, and quality elliptical and Total Gym machines. The house also features a custom wine bar, professional cooking appliances and a lovely landscaped yard with full southern exposure, overlooking Anchorage from a south facing bluff.
Relax in the late evening sun around the firepit with a glass of wine after a day of adventure in southcentral Alaska!
The property is less than 5 minutes drive from downtown shopping and dining.
The entire home will be accessible to renters. There are two garages at the house. One space is available for renter parking in the larger garage. The other small garage/shop is only available to the owners.
I will provide my personal contact information to guests in case any needs or questions arise during their stay. Our housekeeper can also be made available for any special needs of guests, at her standard hourly rate.
The house is located at the edge of Fairview, one of Anchorage's oldest neighborhoods. It is on a very quiet street but very near downtown shopping and dining. The main highways heading both north and south of Anchorage are just blocks away. Alaska Regional Hospital, Providence Alaska Medical Center, and the University of Alaska Anchorage are very close by as well.
There is ample parking for up to four cars in the main driveway. One stall of the main garage may be used by renters.
It is very easy to get around Anchorage from the house. The main shopping and dining areas of downtown are within 5 minutes drive. There are also bike trails about a block away from the house.
Our family has rented many homes around the world. We hope to provide you an experience that we expect when we travel!

Everything was great. The property is super cute and comfortable, very clean, and had more than enough bedding toiletries, and kitchen supplies. The host is very kind and responsive. Our family loved staying there!

Our family of 8 adults enjoyed our stay in this very unique, comfortable, and well equipped home. The owner was great to work with and communicated well. The house is very clean and well appointed with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The central location and close proximity to downtown restaurants and nearby grocery stores made for a more relaxed stay. Thank you Beau!

There were 8 of us and the house was perfect for us. My son and his two sons slept upstairs. On the main floor there are 2 bedrooms so my daughter, husband, and two granddaughters slept there. I slept in the bedroom in the basement. It was a nice location. Easy to get to downtown and the airport. We also went to Whittier, Kaitmai, Girdwood, and Talkeetna. We also enjoyed the firepit outside each evening. Wonderful time.

The house was setup nice for 3 couples. Plenty of living space. The house was clean and well equipped. The manager was very easy to communicate with and responsive. We had a late flight and he offered to give us a late checkout since the house was not booked for that night. I am not familiar with Anchorage neighborhoods, the house seemed to be on the edge, great neighborhood on our side of the street and forward. But across the street seemed different. We had no issues and were close to downtown and everyplace we wanted to go to, including the airport. I would reccomend.

We wanted to stay in a central location that was walkable to downtown ( but far enough away to get our miles in ). This home was perfect for our intergenerational needs . Would definitely stay here again if back in Anchorage .

Love the location of this property! Seemed like everything was so close. We really enjoyed the real fireplace in the living room and the large shower heads. Nice large closets that were able to fit all of our winter gear. Would definitely stay at this property again.
