Newly built country house in Kjósarhreppur, Hvalfjörður only 40 minutes from Reykjavík surrounded by beautiful nature and ocean view.

The house comes with all modern amenities to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Television in every bedroom, Wi-Fi, washing machine/dryer, towels included. The sundeck overlooks the sea and has a hot tub along with a sauna, also there is an outside fireplace to relax on a calm summer night.

The surrounding area is filled with activities. Great for hiking and fishing. With Iceland's National Park Þingvellir 25 minutes away.

We loved our stay here. In July the midnight sun has been beyond spectacular. The house has huge windows in the living room. It’s beautifully appointed with cutting edge appliances. The hosts were quick to respond to questions. A first-rate experience!

Great home, well appointed and set up for group (two wings, each with 2 bedrooms and a bath.). The views on the drive to the house and from the house itself are spectacular. We saw the Northern Lights on 2 of the 3 nights we were there Recommend driving to the house for the first time in the daylight. Host met us at the home and made the navigation at the end easier

We enjoyed this clean, well appointed house, approximately 45 minutes from Reykjavik and an easy 30 minute drive to the Golden Circle. The kitchen is complete with all that is needed, and Gretar is a responsive hostess, who kindly allowed us to arrive a few hours prior to the 1600 check in time. Our time was spent enjoying both the hot tub and sauna, but it was the spectacular water and mountain views from the open kitchen, living room that provided beautiful sunsets. We will return again.

We had a wonderful, relaxing stay! The house was well appointed and the views were spectacular. It’s an easy drive into and around Reykjavik and surrounding parks. Highly recommend for your quiet, relaxing getaway!

Incredible views, an endless list of top of the line amenities and the quality of the property as a whole is impressive. Comfortable and quiet bedrooms, luxurious bathrooms, and a perfectly stocked kitchen. Everything worked as promised, including the hot tub and sauna. Plenty of storage space and the shoe rack and hanging rod with hangers immediately inside the entrance are especially appreciated.

The house is very nice, as advertised and seems quite new. The views are spectacular. It is pretty remote, with the nearest grocery stores/restaurants about 30-40 minutes away. The manager did a good job explaining everything and had a good reference manual. The only slight disappointment was the hot tub. It does not have jets and needs to be filled and drained for each use. Filling it takes about an hour and maintaining the temperature is tricky as it has no heating element. We only used it briefly twice due to these issues.

A great modern house with the finest view. Good location for both the Capital region and Icelandic North-East. Non urban at all for the best views of Nothern Lights.

Our family stayed in this gorgeous house overlooking the Hvalfjördur which makes for stunning sunsets and views of wildlife. The house comes with outstanding amenities, such as a sauna, hot tub, cold tank, a weight room, and the use of a propane or charcoal grill. The location is easily accessible (you don't need a 4D vehicle) about a half hour from the closest grocery and liquor stores in Mosfellsbaer (so stock up on your way there). The backroads give easy access to the golden circle and All Trails lists many excellent hiking spots within a short driving distance. The house was impeccably clean end the owner accommodated us with an early check in (which is nice when you fly in at 6AM from the US!). Overall, we had a wonderful and relaxing time at this stunning house.

So glad to have found this wonderful house. Very clean with everything we needed and more. Communication with host was quick and easy. The view is amazing and was our base for a 4 day exploration of West Iceland. Definitely recommend
