About this house rental

This lakeside log cabin is full of character and charm, the type of home you want to return to year after year. The house is located on a quiet cove of Lake Wylie, a short boat ride away from the high-octane sports and hustle and bustle of the larger lake channels. The property includesa private 12' x 16' floating dock to pull your boat up to! Note: there is an old boathouse onsite that is pending reconstruction, more improvements to come.

Downstairs is a King bedroom with Jack and Jill bathroom shared with the downstairs open floor plan living room and kitchen. The dining table offers seating for 8, and the kitchen is fully stocked for eating and cooking for a group of this size.

Upstairs a queen bedroom hosts an additional couple. The loft overlooking the living room serves as the third bedroom and youth hangout, with a Twin XL over Queen bunkbed, and a loveseat sofa pullout . There are 4 Roku TV's in the house, one in each sleeping room and one in the livingroom.

The living room door opens into a covered porch overlooking the private swimming pool and cove. The pool steps lead to a 3’ shallow end that extends to a 8’ deep end. An outdoor table seating 6 and a pair of rocking chairs provide seating for indoor-outdoor living. A pair of kayaks are available in the boathouse for guest use!

Please note that this home accommodates a maximum occupancy of 8 people at all times. It is not licensed as an event venue, and guests over the home occupancy are not allowed onsite. Failure to follow rules constitutes violation of rental agreement and immediate cancellation without refund.

I try to provide all the amenities to make your stay easy! I provide consumables such as shampoo/conditioner/body wash dispensers in the showers, hand soap, dish soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and cleaning products. Linens, bath towels, and swim towels are included, and laundry soap and dryer sheets are provided for mid-stay washing.

We are a pet friendly home! Maximum of 2 pets with a $100 pet fee per stay. Just like with children, you are responsible for any damage caused by pets. Pets are not allowed in the swimming pool. Bathing of pets should be done with the outdoor hose, not indoors in the showers or sinks. You are responsible to clean up your pet waste. There are disposal bags in the bathrooms by the toilets, the same bags are also used for feminine products. Pets should not be left in the home unattended unless crated, pets can surprise us and misbehave when left alone in a strange place. Message me about all pets before check in, including ESA or therapy animals.

Unfortunately the cabin is located in a cellular dead sorry for some carriers. I utilize WiFi calling when I’m at the cabin. Please be aware when booking.

Security cameras: I have three exterior security cameras at the home. One facing each door, and one facing the dock. Their primary purpose is protection of the home while vacant. They also inform me that a guest has arrived and accessed the home without issue. Once a guest is securely in the home, I typically shut off notifications. I had a kayak disappear off the dock once. I'm not sure if the wind blew it off and it floated away, or if it was taken, so that third camera was added. The back end of the pool is visible in that cameras range. I respect the privacy of my guests while staying at my home.

We went for my wife’s birthday weekend with some friends. The property manager was awesome and very responsive. Honestly all of us were blown away with how much we loved the place. The house had every amenity we expected and even a little more. Rooms were comfy, great kitchen, beautiful outdoor area. Not much more to be said besides awesome there. Also, the property was advertised as pet friendly and it 100% was. We took our dogs there for the weekend and normally it’s a bit of a hassle trying to “create” boundaries for the dogs when it’s not your home, however we were pleasantly surprised when we walked in and found dog gates already installed on the stairs, the porch, and the owners even provided waste bags! Honestly, the last paragraph by itself would be enough for 5 stars from me, but everyone in our group had nothing but amazing things to say all weekend. We will absolutely look into staying again in the future.

Nice clean house with great lakeside pool. Good location on the lake, close to Allison creek ramp and park as well as plenty of restaurants and ammenities (took our grandchild to the childrens museum in rock hill). Would recommend to anyone.

We rented this lake house in order to spend a week with the grandkids (ages 9, 7 & 4). They live 30 miles away from this lake. We traveled from Maryland. The y LOVED the pool and kayak rides. The house had plenty of rafts, floaty devices and other toys for the pool. Everything went off without a hitch. The house was beautiful & had everything we needed. Thanks, Katie, we had a great time.

This place was AMAZING! The owner is very easy to contact with questions. Check in & out couldn't be easier (keypad). Everything was so clean & comfortable. Also, she had it stocked with many items as well (that most other places don't bother - she goes above & beyond!) And had locally brewed coffee as a gift, it was delicious & now my new favorite coffee. We spent most of our time between the porch or refreshing pool. This is my favorite rental yet! It's in a quiet place but also not far from many attractions. We enjoyed watching the wildlife too (deer, hawks, falcons, many birds). It exceeded our expectations for sure! It was the perfect relaxing getaway, we were sad to leave & can't wait to go back! Thank you for sharing your beautiful place!

This was such a fun home for our Family during the 4th of July. We played in the pool (lots of pool toys were supplied and all the towels too), played games, slept well and ate wonderful home cooked meals. We will be back. We absolutely enjoyed every minute of our vacation in this house. Katie was very communicative from the start and throughout our stay. The house was well equipped and very comfortable. The pool was fantastic. We rented a boat during our stay and it was nice to be able to pull up to the dock when we needed to. We would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone with a family.

Absolutely beautiful home! Very inviting and cozy. My family and I came for my daughter's college graduation at Winthrop. Convenient to the university. Pool was heaven sent for our 5 year old. Beautiful surroundings and very quiet area. Definitely look forward to staying again in the future.

We traveled for a sports tournament but wanted an alternative to a hotel. This property exceeded expectations, quiet location, Great Lake access, extremely clean and home feeling. The kids loved the bunk beds in the loft & the host was extremely responsive. Everything was labeled and there was zero question on where or how to do anything. Absolutely recommend! Beautiful & modern interior and great layout for a family. The local coffee was a nice touch too!

We had a wonderful time at this gem. Very clean and perfect for visiting with grandchildren. The pool was a hit as well as the dock for fishing. The kids all caught a fish. The host was very receptive and timely with any concerns or issues. Pleasant stay. Thank you!

Just wanted to be close to home but where we could relax around a pool and lake. Perfect place to do just that. Well stocked with everything you would need to enjoy the house, pool and lake. Owner was very good to respond quickly. Will be back!

The cove is lovely. It is narrow but most of the neighbors had boats- yet not a busy thoroughfare by any means. The pool was an oasis. The kids were happy to hang out there with a portable speaker. And they also did some fishing from the dock. We visited Ebenezer Park, and the Wylie dam area. Lovely house, so well stocked with everything you might need. We had a great time.

We used the house for a family gathering spot. Our stay was for 3 nights and we made the most of the opportunity. The host was great. She has everything labeled so no time is wasted hunting in the kitchen for what you need to cook. The property is well maintained. We had fun on the deck, dock and pool. Very nice location. Would highly recommend this house to anyone looking for a good place to stay with their family.

We booked a few days during the week and wish we would have booked longer! The location is so perfect, very close to a Walmart, but far enough where you feel like your in your own little world! The neighbors were friendly and the canal/cove was fishing friendly! The kids loved the dock and the pool. The house was so clean, beds were comfy and everything was perfect! The owner was great at letting us know what to do about checking in and out. We actually booked another stay before we checked out! We can’t wait to go back!!

The property was everything we expected and met all of our needs. The property is well taken care of and had everything we needed for a very pleasant stay. The family spent time in an around the pool and lots of time fishing off the dock the outdoor patio is perfect for sitting and relaxing and having an outdoor meal. All of the bedrooms were comfortable for a great nights sleep. There was plenty of parking space in front of the property and the owners instructions were reasonable and clearly posted within the home. We will plan on being back for another stay in the future.

This was an early Thanksgiving gathering for us and the property owner made this so easy. We had all the essentials for cooking, all we needed for toiletries and supplies. We only had to bring our groceries for cooking. The home is comfortable and clean providing all you need to relax and enjoy your visit. Even games and throw blankets are there to enjoy. We have stayed at many VRBO units and this one is the very best for convenience to Rock Hill or Charlotte and still have peace and quiet with a water view! The highlight was a visit from the neighborhood hawk. He landed near me and stayed while I enjoyed my morning coffee (no phone handy, so no pictures to prove it. 😉)

Katie was an excellent host who was very attentive to our experience. House was clean and beautiful! Our group of 6 slept comfortably and had no major issues at all. If we are ever in the area in the future I would look to stay here again.
