Really nice hotel. Large Stylish rooms, great bar, wonderful staff. Valet parking.
We really enjoyed this hotel.

Guests should be aware that the hotel charges a non-refundable incidentals fee of $25 and a daily parking fee of $40. I was not aware of these extra charges when I reserved a room.

We had an amazing stay at this hotel in Portland; it was incredibly central - you could walk everywhere you needed to go. The area felt safe and was very clean. The hotel itself felt brand new; we stayed in a standard room and it felt luxurious. The bathroom was gorgeous and the bed was so comfortable. As visitors from the UK we thought that Valet was a little expensive (40$) but overall a very good service

I rated my stay poor because I am very angry that you are requiring guests to pay $25 a day for food amenities whether they eat in your restaurant or not or buy snacks at your hotel or not. I have never experienced this at any hotel before, and I think it is outrageous. At most places I have stayed, a free breakfast is offered. Indeed, in New York City, Leo House, which charges less a night than you do, offers a fantastic, many options breakfast...free. In addition your night parking fee of $40 is way too high, and it appears that the people of work valet parking are possibly not being treated fairly. Please know that I will not stay again in this or any other hotel that you own. I gave high marks in the categories listed to support your staff.

Great stay! Friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. Will definitely stay here again when we come back to Portland to visit our daughter.

Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Room was very clean.
One thing we did not appreciate was the $25 amenity fee being added to our bill. We missed breakfast and had to use it ( or lose it) on snacks at the front desk

All good - would love to come back some day

The staff were helpful and friendly but there was a mix up with our booking. First night all details were there - 3nights paid for. Next morning still fine. By the evening our keys didn't work and were told the booking was for 1 day so housekeeping hadn't been in! But it was all dealt with without any fuss. Other than that the hotel was clean, modern and gets a mention on the trolley bus tour!

This hotel is a great little property that is in excellent condition. The only reason that I did not give it five stars was the “Amenity Fee” and the $40 fee for valet parking. There are no amenities unless you consider WiFi to be an amenity. It does provide a good and beverage credit but I would rather they did away with BS fees and I will pay for what I want.

I'll echo the reviews of so many others, maybe eventually the GM that responds to all of the reviews will make some changes. At $400-$500 per night, we shouldn't be asked at check-in whether we want room service. If we don't want it one day we will put the privacy notice on the door. Parking at $40 per night is gouging. And the mandatory $25 "amenity fee" is ridiculous. Let customers apply that to their parking, don't require us to buy snacks, which you ran out of during my stay.

This was the most beautiful hotel I've ever stayed in. Trust me when I say that you should spend the few extra dollars for a suite. It was gorgeous. We stayed for four nights. We had a view of the water, plenty of space for my friend and I to spread out, a separate living room with bar space and dining table, sufficient closet and dresser room, and you could hear a pin drop. The space was immaculately clean, and housekeeping and valet were wonderful. Everything appeared new and modern (but not overly so), and the service was next level. We were a four minute walk to local bars and restaurants like Eventide, and 12 minutes from shopping and the waterfront. We felt safe at all times, even late at night. If I had to find a downside, $40/night for valet was steep, especially when staying for four nights. That said, I would stay there again in a heartbeat, and I cannot recommend Cambria enough. Thank you for a lovely stay!

Average higher priced accommodation. The indoor common areas are heavily "perfumed" - like a hollister store.
Beware the upcharge for services you don' need !!
website says parking is $30 but its $40

Loved every minute of it my only complaint is the silly $25 a day mandatory amenity fee for food and snacks they charge whether you use it or not. If not for this would be an easy 5 stars. Excellent service and excellent rooms.

Fabulous hotel, with Old Port on one side and Munjoy on the other, it is the perfect location. New, clean, friendly with great bar and restaurant.

Very comfortable beds, quiet hotel, lovely patio and lounge areas. Easy walk to the best dining.

Free parking on the street overnight, as long as you leave by 10 am, much cheaper than Valet.
I liked their restaurant

Very nice room, well-appointed. Hideously overpriced. On top of the nightly charge of some $530, they have the temerity to add an "amenities" fee of $25/night. It's a use-it-or-lose-it deal. You must spend $25 each day on the overpriced snacks, the bar, or the restaurant or the money is forfeited. You can't consolidate multiple days' funds. It's as if the owners had a meeting and asked, "How can we squeeze a few extra bucks out of our patrons after overcharging them for the accommodations?" I'm glad I didn't have to pay the $40/night parking charge.

The good: good space in the room and comfortable beds. Good location near the water and easy to get to the ferry terminal and access to all the restaurants and shops in Portland.
The not so good: Unusual floor layout which might mean you are walking quite a distance from the elevator. Our room was located completely opposite from elevator (about a city block away). Not an issue for us but might be for people with mobility issues. Also had an air vent outside our room in the hallway which was really loud.

Only complaint is that the TV was not a smart TV. Everything else was modern and excellent.

My wife and I asked Jeffrey for some directions and he was extremely rude. He even rolled his eyes at us and shook his head. All we were trying to do is get directions to duckfat restaurant. Everyone else was pleasant from the Valet to the guy that checked us in. Definitely not recommending this hotel brand to anyone. It costs nothing to be nice to people.

Time and time again the Cambria delivers. Amazing location enables you to take in all of Portland by foot. From the hillside and the USS Maine, to the Porthole and points beyond, it’s all there. And the recommendations from the front desk were so perfect the 3 times we inquired. Great property, great people, memorable times!

Few options for early breakfast on Sunday AM. $25 daily fee is a use it it lose it kind of thing.

Nice place, not a five star hotel but clean and convenient to downtown Portland (which easily walkable from wherever you are).
Front desk staff is really pleasant. Special shout out to Nisa at the front desk for the excellent beach recommendation.
We had an issue with the automatic shades in our room. Called it in and they were there within 5 minutes to fix it.
Overall, would stay there again.

It is disappointing to have an amenity daily charge of $25 and to not be informed at the time of booking.
My room was as cold as a meatlocker and despite adjusting the thermostat it remained cold.

The Cambria is a wonderful hotel. It is situated close to restaurants, shops and various outdoor waterfront amenities. It is beautiful and clean with a modern style. The room had a gorgeous view of the harbor, it was quiet and extremely comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend the Cambria Portland!
