About this villa rental
Located above the picturesque village of Conca dei Marini (halfway between Amalfi and Positano), Villa mille e una notte has not only been completely renovated but also offers breathtakingly lovely views of the famous Amalfi Coast as far as Amalfi itself in the distance.
As with most of the houses in the region, Villa mille e una notte is on multiple levels, in this case three.
The swimming pool and a covered terrace with a dining table and plenty of space for sun loungers occupy a level below the main house. Here and in the solarium above you can laze away those sunny days in complete seclusion and tranquillity, sunbathing and sampling the local culinary delights. The house itself is fully modernized and lacks nothing in terms of comfort and amenities.
On the same level of the swimming pool there is a double bedroom (the only one which has convertible twin beds) with a shower/bathroom en suite.
The Villa is a great luxury solution for travellers wanting to experience an exclusive holiday on the Amalfi coast in a tranquil and relaxed location, yet with shops and restaurants within walking distance and close to the liveliest areas of the coast, Amalfi and Positano.
Access to the property is by means of 150 steps up from the nearest street.
The lowest level: Access is through the swimming pool area, 10 steps leading to the middle level.
The middle level: Crossing the lawn in front of the main house, the entrance is to the right. To the left of the villa's entrance there is a small laundry corner. To the right upon entering is the dining room with French windows which leads onto a small balcony, followed by the fully equipped kitchen. Further on is the living room with TV. On this floor there are two double bedrooms, that share one bathroom fully equipped with shower and another one which is a "guest bathroom" with just toilet and sink.
The top level: From the living room a stairway takes you to a double bedroom with an en suite bathroom equipped with a Jacuzzi tub. This bedroom opens onto a large shaded terrace with a fantastic view of the sea. An external stairway takes you from this terrace down to the lower level and lawn. The Villa is provided with an air conditioning system.

I don’t even know where to begin. This property is amazing! We are a family group of 6 adults and 2 children ages 8 and 9. The villa had plenty of roam for everyone and spaced out perfectly. It was well equipped with all that you need. We appreciated the AC and the pool after the long hot days. Francesca was very kind and was always available to answer questions. Catalina (the neighbor) was super helpful when we arrived. She made us feel like family. Simonetta from the tour company helped us with setting up car service to and from the airport which was so wonderful, especially after a long flight. Salvatore from the car service company was extremely helpful in securing us transportation every morning. He was great. This was a dream trip and this Villa was part of the magic. But please note, the steps are very very real especially after a long day. You may want to reconsider if you have bad knees or a heart condition. Thank you to everyone for all your hard work and the customer service. Caio! ❤️

Wonderful property and excellent position to explore the amalfi coast.
We would have loved to stay longer!

We enjoyed the villa a lot with two families of 4, 4 adults and 4 teens. The layout of the villa is unique and some rooms are separate from the main living area but they all have their own bathroom with a shower. This allowed some of the teens to have some privacy.
We took a train from Rome to Naples and used Welcome Pickups to schedule a driver to take us to the Villa. The drive through the mountain took about 1.5 hours. The day we got there we picked rooms and unpacked and went to dinner at Piazza da Nino. We then went back to the villa and jumped in the pool! It has good outdoor lighting and a light in the pool.
On the first full day it rained but two of the group had scheduled a spa day at the Santa Rosa Hotel just down the hill. The rest of us hung out and relaxed and did some laundry. That night was dinner at Le Bontà del Capo. If you call and make a reservation they will pick you up at the bottom of the steps and also take you back when you're done.
The next day was a relaxing pool day and for dinner the adults went to the one-star Michelin restaurant at the Santa Rosa Hotel, Il Refettorio. The food was great and there was live music and an amazing sunset view.
The next day we had rented a boat to take us along the Amalfi coast. Francesca helped to arrange a driver to take us to and from Amalfi. We saw the Amalfi coast from the boat and went to two beaches only accessible by boat, but you have to swim there.
We had a great time and would do it again.

We had a truly amazing stay in this home in Conca dei Marini. We had never been to the Amalfi Coast. We found this home in Conca dei Marini-about 10 min bus ride to Amalfi. It was absolutely perfect for us. Where do I start?! The view…simply one of the most spectacular views you will get in your lifetime. Every morning waking up to the views you see in the pictures was simply breathtaking. The proximity…to Amalfi ended up being really important as Amalfi is one of the ferry hubs-so we could grab the bus (bus stop across the street from the house) down to Amalfi and take a ferry pretty much anywhere on the coast. I didn’t realize how important that would be as we did this daily during our stay. Amalfi also had a small beach for the kids to play. I initially looked in Positano for a place to stay because Positano is all the rage but was thankful we didn’t stay in Positano as Positano is very small and limited and expensive to travel out of. The neighborhood…Conca dei Marini will now have a special place in our heart as we walked the neighborhood daily/nightly. There is a small bar/coffee breakfast spot a short 5 min walk down the street that we visited almost daily There is a small market 10 min walk for groceries. There is a small pizza/pasta restaurant 5 min walk and again the bus stop is across the street. The only tough part was all the steps (many) you have to walk up to get to the house but we embraced it as a chance to walk off all the pasta and wine!

It’s a lovely villa but you need to be in really good shape to climb the stairs to the villa. The views are beautiful and we enjoyed the clean pool. The people in the town were so welcoming and kind. We wish we had more access to transportation. You had to plan your days ahead of time.

We had a great stay - the views from the villa are breath-taking. This is a great place to hang out by the pool, cook some meals, and enjoy the views of the Amalfi Coast. Francesca and Simonetta were helpful in answering questions by email leading up to the trip and organized a private transfer to Naples after check out. A few things to note: if you're wanting to spend your days exploring the other towns on the coast, it is a little difficult. The buses are crowded (some do not stop because they are full) and unreliable, and the walk to the bus to Positano is 25 mins (downhill on the way there, uphill on the way back). Taking cabs on the Amalfi coast is extremely expensive. As noted, there are many stairs. Be prepared to carry your luggage up and down for check-in and out.

I cannot say enough great things about this beautiful villa. It is more beautiful than the photos, provided plenty of space (family of 7) and is supplied with high quality furnishings and amenities (even iron/ironing board) and plenty of glassware and cookware. There is so much room, even a sweet garden with picnic table and plenty of space to hang laundry to dry. The AC was a huge blessing in every bedroom during a very hot July stay. Such a beautiful villa - I fell in love with all the painted tiles too. :)
* yes the 180 steps are very real. So are the hills around Conca dei Marini and the Amalfi coast. The listing is very honest and the steps can be tough. The villa is 100% worth it, but if you have young toddlers or any knee pain or mobility issues at all, it may not be for you, as others have said. If you can push through the stairs, you will be very happy here at this gorgeous villa.
We had a great time at this villa and used the gorgeous pool and pool deck each day. The view is breathtaking and we would have loved to stay longer.
Francesca, the on-site property manager is AMAZING. She was so helpful arranging rides and answering questions. She provided all details in the contract and was very clear with instructions. Thank you so much, Francesca and Simonetta!

The Villa was beautiful. The town of Concha Dei Marini is the perfect location. Very quaint and not as busy as Amalfi or Positono. I would stay here again if I am in the area. Our hosts were great as were the people that we interacted with.

The property was beautiful. Very well maintained, clean and comfortable with plenty of space for us to relax and take in the magnificent views. Enjoyed a lovely day by the pool with the lovely flower scented breezes. The gardens were fabulous - we even picked some fresh basil for our dinner one evening. Top sheets and a drip-style coffee pot for us Americans were appreciated. As other guests have mentioned, the only challenge were the steps. Oh, the steps. I counted 177 from the street to the front door, but my brain wasn't working too well after about 100. But we managed and it was worth it. Very thankful for the porter who assisted us with our luggage. Our host was very polite and helpful. Easy to communicate with via email and WhatsApp.
4.7
The villa was beautiful and had great views and amenities. Our only concern was the ability to talk with host when we had questions, concerns, or help when situations came up. We were not successful in reaching people by phone although emails were answered within 24 hours and answers were vague. Also some policies turned out different than originally found on Vrbo. Portage was an example. Would suggest renters clearly understand electricity charges. We solved that concern, but if weather was hot this would be a big expense. We never did find out if pool maintenance electric usage was part of extra charges. We thought that just charging a higher rate per day would be better than unknown costs at the end of the stay.
Again everything else was great. Even the 174 steps up the hill.

Property itself was amazing with great views. At check in they will provide a porter to help carry your bags up the stairs which was a lifesaver. Make sure to communicate the exact time you will be arriving at the property for check in to go smoothly. The location is 10 minute drive from the main amalfi area which you can get to by bus. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway but if you’re looking to go exploring, would make sure to plan transportation accordingly. The host was very accommodating and we had a great stay!

Incredible quiet location with stunning views and local neighborhood spots for a family with kids
The house is beautiful and functional. So many things to love about it: the pool, lemon grove; rooftop deck; views from all levels. Local favorites for us (all walkable) were the Bar Santa Rosa; Nino's Pizza and Nino were unmatched in food and friendliness; Market L'Angolo Della had everything we needed, and also delivered us with our bags to the foot of our stairs (we had no car).
A couple of noteworthy items:
- A cab from Conca Dei Marini to Amalfi (15 min ride) was expensive each way. We should have visited the local sites by taking a boat from Amalfi to Capri and Positano (easier!).
- A car service from Salerno train station to our Villa was ideal in a large sprinter van that accommodated 4 adults, 4 kids and all our gear, and our driver was amazing with local facts and reco's. You can book directly through Amalfi coast car transfers and make sure you pre-book your return pick up when you arrive as the coast is packed; we were unable to get a ride back to Salerno due to high volume.
- The check in process was disappointing. Apparently we were to message the host two hours prior to our arrival (we did via WhatsApp) so she could be there to let us in, which was lost in the fine print of an agreement (?). Even though Francesca booked our pick up from the Salerno train station, and the driver said he messaged her 15 mins before our arrival as usual, she said she needed two hours notice prior to arrival. So we sat at the foot of the stairs for 1:45 with 4 tired kids (including a 2.5 year old and a 10 month old) waiting to be let in. Poor planning or poor communication, either way lots of conflicting information between the host, driver and us. That started what I would say the poor check in process.
- Additionally, the host required Euro at check in for a 'host fee' which I could not find anywhere on the VRBO site (although it does mention a cleaning fee which is different); and a cash deposit (which has a different value on the site and is typically a credit card charge that is refunded). We didn't have large number of Euro on hand and had to give all that we had.
- The incremental charge for electricity weekly was a bit concerning, and we were very conservative with our usage but went over the allowable and were charged.
We would return, for less time. Loved the house, not the communication or check in/out.

Fantastic Villa, brilliant help
What a Villa. It is hard for the photographs and description to do justice to the Villa and it’s location. I can only say that our family (including 3 children) had the most fabulous stay here. Francesca had well anticipated the difficulties and expense of driving and parking in the area, and Alfredo provided the most remarkable service to help us enjoy our stay. Francesca was also extremely knowledgeable, helpful and fast with any queries and indeed help afterwards helping us find some forgotten items we neglected to pack. Do be prepared for the stairs of course, but with the provided porterage and driving assistance this was really not a problem. 5***** would highly recommend.

5 stars!!
I cannot say enough about our experience. 1) Simonetta! Wonderful to work with start to finish!! Provided us with all info we needed to have wonderful experiences including Mrs. Vera and Luca for our boat trip to Capri. 2) Luigi! Delightful and available every single day for questions/info etc. 3) Conca dei Marini is absolute heaven!! Both worldly & quaint at the same time. The villa is close to Monastero Santa Rosa Hotel where we went most days to have a to-die-for Aperol Spritz prepared by Ivan. It's also the meeting point for any local restaurant pick-up that Luigi set up for us (Le Bonta del Capo and Capo di Conca - both a must and have a fabulous staff and location/view). Nino's is a short enough walk (10 mins plus a set of stairs) and purely delightful experience. Nino and his staff were wonderful! ALL of the food we had was outstanding.....no bad choices at any of these spots. Also, next to La Bonta del Capo was a market owned by Angelo, which also delivered (as did Nino's) which was a major bonus give the stairs at the villa. 4) The car service: Mr. Salvatore has a team of a dozen or so drivers who were all wonderful, professional and friendly. 5) The stairs, all those stairs!! There are so many and they will feel like a chore while doing them. If you are unable to manage stairs easily, then this villa (and the town somewhat) may not be the best choice. However, IF YOU CAN HANDLE THE STAIRS (up to, in villa; and town), THEN THIS IS THE VILLA FOR YOU!!!! View=HEAVEN. 6) The villa: Gorgeous!!! Main floor, 1st bdrm ensuite/no view; 2nd bdrm, no ensuite/view. Living room, kitchen, dining room with small patio with view, half bath, and laundry room. 2nd level is the 3rd/master with bdrm (tub, no shower but hand-held) and HUGE patio (that has stairs down to main patio). From the diningroom, there are stairs up to another outdoor level from which you can access 4th bdrm (ensuite) and the garden. All while having the beautiful view. It also leads you down to another level with a grass area and then more stairs down to the pool level (all with views) and the 5th bdrm(ensuite). From this level there is also a walkway out to a gate that leads back out to main stairwell up to villa. Also, this is a shared walk way when villa next door is rented). This rental, in a word, is AMAZING. Thank you to Simonetta, Luigi, Vera/Luca, Mr. Salvatore and his drivers and to all the locals that helped make this trip so positively perfect!
4.7
It is very pretty but access is about a 200 step climb to the front door. To put in prospective you walk up to the tenth floor. There is no parking and cabs are scarce. When you arrive home after a great dinner and beautiful bottle of wine this stair climb will be an overwhelmingly sobering experience capped off with a 7am heavy equipment wake up call. The step are each 8-9” high and handrails are only in some areas. This is only for very fit early risers!

Spectacular villa with panoramic views! We are two families with young adult children and found this to be a dreamy stay and well-worth the climb up 180 steps. The bedrooms were very comfy and the bathrooms gorgeous with tile everywhere. A small but well-equipped kitchen for cooking. Luigi, the property manager, was very helpful!! He can organize trips, make reservations and recommendations, and arrange parking and driving by Alfredo, also excellent. The pool is delightful, clean, and a perfect temperature. Conca dei Marini is charming and off the beaten path, but be prepared to climb stairs and travel a bit to the many wonderful restaurants nearby. We enjoyed every minute and were sad to say goodby!

Stairway to Heaven
Okay, granted there are some stairs and this property might not be for those out-of- shapers, [ONLY because of the stairs] but when you get to the property that climb will have been well worth it. The views are stunning--especially if you get up at sunrise. And I mean views from all areas of the villa. I loved how the bedrooms are separated, so that you have the feeling of privacy from your group if you wish. The pool was perfect and the caretaker came each morning to care for the grounds and clean the pool. Luigi, who checked us in, was fantastic--so helpful and he responded immediately when we had a question or wanted local information. Another great part was the location--you are close to other towns in Amalfi, so if you want more noise and bustle you can get there quickly. There are plenty of car services in the area to choose or the bus stop is a very easy walk. But, you don't even have to leave the town, in fact, the people of Conca dei Marina were our favorite part of the trip. Nino's Pizzeria--where we spent many a meal--is charming and the food is delicious and freshly prepared. The owner, Nino, makes the great food even better! La Bonta del Capo--was also a place we spent several meals--beautiful views and the owners and chef are amazing. I felt like the food was better in Conca than anywhere else we went in other towns. If you want to supplement your meals there is a wonderful grocery store-Market L 'Angolo Della--which will deliver your food or, in my case, drove me back to the villa gratis! After 10 days in Conca our entire party was so happy that we chose a place that allowed us to be in a quieter place, but was so well situated to get to other towns easily. The villa, even with the stairs, was perfecto!

Amazing views
The villa was comfortable for our large party with many seating areas and levels. The outdoor space was fabulous with views at every balcony. Luigi was very helpful with all our questions and Alfredo was amazing!! He took care of our car and drove us around the coast during our stay. If staying at the villa I would definitely recommend getting the parking and Alfredo as your driver, he made our vacation stress free! The villa has 177 steps to get inside so anyone with physical disabilities should avoid reserving, since we are a young family we thought of it as our exercise for the day, no gym needed. Kids loved the pool which is very hard to find in Amalfi and made it easy to relax at the villa. Air conditioning worked well since it was hot and humid the whole week, the villa was very comfortable. Francesca made boat reservations for us with private charter boats which was the highlight of our stay in Amalfi! A wonderful vacation!!

Outstanding views, great house, 182 stair climb
We had a fantastic time on our holiday in this house!
Giovanna was very helpful via email on the lead up to our stay. There were a few extra charges (for additional guests, parking, cleaning fee, deposit--which was returned) but she was clear and upfront about these costs. She was willing to help you book experiences while there, which was nice, but we did not take advantage of that.
Mr. Luigi greeted us and was immensely helpful in getting us sorted. He provided some amazing restaurant recommendations and helped us coordinate with Alfredo, who arranged parking of our van AND drove us to/from Amalfi and to the start of the Walk of the Gods hike (having a driver was a relief, as traffic on the coast is not for the faint of heart). Both Luigi and Alfredo made our stay SO much better--they were both incredibly helpful, punctual, and friendly. Luigi brought our luggage up on the first day and was very responsive when we had an issue with the door lock, sending repair the next day.
The house is fantastic, especially if you have multiple couples--rooms on different levels (hard to discern from these pics) provided an element of privacy, but still "togetherness". There are 2 bedrooms on the first floor, 1 on the 2nd floor, 1 "cottage' and 1 bedroom by the pool. What I would consider the "master" upstairs has only a tub, no shower. One of the main floor rooms did have a bit of a sewage smell in the bathroom. The kitchen is well supplied (but who wants to cook with such amazing restaurants nearby?). There's also a laundry machine, nice sitting areas, and a great garden in back with fresh lemon trees. And, best part, the pool and deck are UNREAL. We spent most of our time at the house hanging in the pool and taking in the amazing views.
The caveat is that yes, you do have 182 stairs to climb to get to the house. If you're eating yourself crazy with pasta and gelato, this can be a good thing. But if you're not as mobile, those stairs are a rough go. Conca is a wonderful quiet little town in the midst of very touristy Amalfi and Positano. It's quiet and the local restaurant is fantastic (Bonta di Capo). If you're looking for quiet, this is your spot.
Overall, if you don't mind stairs, this is an awesome place for a group or family to have a glorious Amalfi Coast holiday.

Six of us (4 adults and 2 children, ages 4 and 2) stayed here for 8 days in late August. The home was well maintained and had all the necessities we needed. Each room had its own air conditioning which was critical for sleeping comfortably at night. You pay extra for electric costs beyond a certain usage but having air conditioning at night was worth every extra penny. The beds are quite firm but the pillows were comfortable. The house had a washing machine, grill, and all the necessary dishes for cooking. The views from the pool and all of the balconies of the house are amazing! The pool was clean and refreshing. There are 182 steps from the road to the house but this is to be expected when all the homes are built into the mountainside. Stairs are the trade off for incredible views of the Mediterranean. We did not mind the exercise and actually enjoyed the stair workout everyday. Just be prepared and know that stairs cannot be avoided. My husband carried our 2 year old daughter in a stand up carrier on his back up the stairs and our 4 year old was able to walk the stairs himself. He went almost the whole week before he started to get tired and want to be carried. Serafina was our contact person for our stay and she was a great resource of information. She had someone with to help carry our luggage both at check-in and check-out. She spoke excellent English and provided us with numerous recommendations throughout our stay. She was able to make reservations for us at nearby restaurants and help us find local grocery stores. We enjoyed staying in Conca dei Marini because it is a quieter town without a lot of tourists. Prices at restaurants and stores in the town are much cheaper than the big tourist areas. It was about a 10 minute drive to Amalfi and a 30 minute drive to Positano so fairly easy to do day trips. We really enjoyed trips to Amalfi both during the day and at night. Great place to go for dinner. Ferries and private boat tours to Capri and other nearby islands were available in Amalfi and Praia. A car is highly recommended. The house comes with a garage which just fit our 9 passenger van. If you are looking for a nice, spacious home, with a pool and air conditioning and incredible views of the water, this is a perfect place to stay. Just be prepared for lots of stairs. We loved it!

Well maintained home with incredible views

We had a wonderful week at Villa Mille e Una Notte
It is a beautiful villa & we also liked the village of Conca dei Marini very much. Serafina was an excellent source of advice.
I'd be happy to comment on the website but I can't see how to do it. There is a feedback section but it seems to be to read rather than submit reviews.
With best wishes
Louis

Book it and ENJOY!!
We rented this property for ten days and it was ABSOLUTELY FABULOUS. Best vacation of my life. The views were breath taking and the villa overall was sparkling clean, well equipped and made me feel at home immediately. One of the best features was our "hostess" at the villa, Serafina. For Americans who have not taken the opportunity to learn English (like me) she made our transition into Italian coastal life smooth and provided a tremendous resource. I would highly recommend this property to everyone.

The villa was even better than expected.
The welcome staff and the realtor, Simonetta was great, very friendly and helpful. The property was excellent, very clean, everything worked. The pool and the property was superb in every way, the touristic services were great.
This is a wonderful villa that we enjoyed so much, with an incredible view, very clean, etc. Really loved every minute.
We surely come back in the future!!!!

Conca dei Marini
The property was very disappointing and certainly not worth what we paid. A/C did not work in two rooms. There was no literature on how to make things work such as the oven and stove. There was no on site parking as advertised. It was 1/4 of a mile away and was 20Eur/day! There was no shopping close nor a selection of restaurants. One must have a car or depend on taxis even for errands. One bedroom did not have a full bath as we thought. The plumbing smelled in one of the bathrooms because it wasn't plumbed right. The Agency handling the property were not very helpful. It did have a nice pool and beautiful view.

Holiday in Paradise
We read the reviews below and thought the Villa would be alright, in fact it was fantastic and made our holiday in paradise. The weather was sensational, the setting in Conca picture perfect and the hospitality, knowledge and friendship of Fiore (and Antonio) made the holiday unforgettable. Playing football on the roof of the Ristorante with the locals topped things off We'll be booking this villa again to enjoy the ambience of the Amalfi Coast and to catch up with Fiore and the team at Polisportiva Ristorante.

Amazing Views!
Our holiday was wonderful. The villa was beautiful and we had the most amazing view of fireworks along the entire coast on New Year's Eve. Thanks to Antonio and Fiore for taking such great care of us!

A Good Time was Had by All
The Villa was more than we expected and the service was fantastic. Antonio was “The Best” in getting us from place to place and taking care of our needs. His restaurant Polisportiva was superb and we eat there enough to feel like part of the family.
My son James got to play soccer against Antonio's team of local boys. We hope to come back in a few years and would recommend the villa and service to anyone.

Outstanding Views from the villa were enjoyed by all in our group. Villa is centrally located between Amalfi and Positano. What made the rental was the outstanding service by Antonio... "Everything was Possible". He was available night and day to take us anywhere we wanted and his restaurant was excellent. So good, that we went there everynight for fresh fish, pasta, pizza and Lemoncello.

This property was fabulous. We visited the region in Sept 2009. Our party of 6 had the best experience in the Amalfi region. Mostly due to the beautiful home and our hosts Antonio, Caterina and Angelo. They treated us like family giving us rides, shopping for us and cooking too! Anything we needed was taken care of with no hesitation. Thank you, thank you, thank you. If you guys ever come to Chicago...call us! Highly recommend this rental property!
