Nice place, as advertised. Only downside is the second bathroom has a step up antique bathtub which is difficult to climb in and out of.

My stay at Narvin’s property was lovely. The home is exactly as it is described on the listing. There are two prívale rooms with very comfortable beds and very clean linens. We didn’t use the third room which is considered the sunroom, as it opens to the balcony and it doesn’t have any privacy curtains. We liked keeping the balcony doors open while cooking to feel the breeze. The kitchen is every cooks dream. We got to bake two cakes and make some delicious meals. There were some items we needed to purchase (a hand mixer, olive oil and other kitchen staples) but Target is a super short drive away (as coffee shops and other stores). There isn’t a dedicated work space but I used the dinning table which was lovely as there is a lot of windows that open to fresh air and gorgeous landscaping throughout the property. Parking was easy, lots of open spaces on the street and the neighborhood is safe and welcoming. This home is walking distance to the beach as well! Narvin and his cleaning staff was attentive to all of our needs, including allowing us to bring our luggage in at 12 noon prior to check in. Although this space is on the pricier side — it is worth it! If you're looking to have some beautiful memories, this is the place!

This was a clean, well-appointed home in a nice neighborhood. It was convenient to San Francisco and a few minutes drive to downtown Alameda, where we enjoyed the cinema and surrounding shops and restaurants.

Overall this place was just what my family and I needed. It may have been an overlook on my end, but I was unaware until the day of check-in that I was sharing the location with other people (meaning there is an area downstairs that is accessible from the back that someone else rents). We never crossed paths so it wasn’t an issue, but there is a one car driveway, so it’s a first come first serve type deal. I am just thankful that I didn’t have a huge rental car because street parking is limited. Other than this, I truly loved the place. Nice quiet area, beautiful home, and phenomenal weather. The kitchen came equipped with wondered appliances for cooking and everything was in working condition. The host was very attentive! Any time I wrote him, he replied almost instantly.

A few things
Would of liked to have a curtain in back bedroom
We didn’t know what items we could use in kitchen so a check list would of helped.
We couldn’t find hair dryer

We enjoyed our stay in this lovely upper flat of a Victorian home on Alameda Island. It is a very beautiful property, exactly as shown in the photos.
Navin was helpful and prompt to respond to questions.
This was a good location for us to serve as a home base for our family for activities in the Bay Area. (Our group staying at the property was me, my husband and our sons age 17 and 24. Our 20 year old son lives in the area and visited us.)

If you’re a city dweller and want a nice compromise between some place quiet but not too far of a drive from San Francisco or Oakland and Berkeley, I recommend this place. Looks just like the pictures. The bathrooms are still fresh in my memory,

The home was really beautiful and exactly the right amount of space for two adults. I'm sure it would be fine with a couple kids too. Neighborhood was great and all the homes have the overall 1880's craftsman home looks with their own unique flairs. Alameda was just the right distance from SF. We had some traffic issues for some of the days, but overall it was a great stay, the home was perfect, the host(s) were excellent, and the area was nice, quiet, and felt safe. Thank you very much for letting us stay the week there.

Very cool nice updated with old school appliances. Alittle tight for a family if 5 but not bad.
It is a duplex and a few of the negatives is we got inside the joke with 3 kids and hadn’t been there for 5 minutes when I think it’s the owner told me 15 year old we were too loud and to be quiet. So that set the tone of alway top toeing our way around. They did have a baby so we understood somewhat but still isn’t ideal.
Also doors did not have locks on them.
Lastly and the biggest is the 3rd room that has a small single mattress has the main bathroom and the other bedroom has the other bathroom. So the 3rd bedroom has no bathroom access until bedroom 1-2 wakes up.
Neighbors seemed nice and seems safe overall would stay here again it’s fair priced for the money

Very nice home that lived up to it's photos. Great neighborhood with easy street parking, and walkable/jogable to the shore on either side and to downtown shops. Enjoyed the pinball museum/playable machines a few blocks away. Great spot for a home bar between San Francisco and Oakland for adventures downtown or out to Napa valley or the redwoods.
