The public area near bar, offers a great opportunity to be able to socialize from people in the hostel from all over the world.
Wasn’t able to swim cause the pool looked a little bit stagnant and not clear.

Really loved this hostel! The staff was really nice and friendly and the room was really clean! Super good price and a great opportunity to meet new friendly people! Wholeheartedly recommend this place! ☺️☺️

The Hostel itself has both advantages and disadvantages. My overall experience was nice because of the people I've met there. The staff provides truly a family environment. It was a great start to my journey. Safari to Tarangire was arranged the night before, without a problem. Bopa the receptionist/tour guide has become my good friend, was a pleasure to go around town with him and get really deep insights and stories about the culture. Him and his family are truly amazing people.
The showers were public but weren't kept as clean as I would have preferred. Of course, no hot water, nor soap.. but later on my journey I realized that is a common phenomena. The room was all mine, due to low-season which was awesome. However, I wished the beds would haved had newer sheets and that the wi-fi would have reached to the room as well. It was available in the lounge area, outside tho. Also, I was quite hesistant to leave that area by myself, it was quite out of town. Felt limited that only with Bopa I was safe to walk around. The locals said it is absolutely safe but still as a blonde solo traveller I had to be more cautious. The breakfast included was also just peanut butter/butter and bread. Would have loved to have more local fruits for the price to be honest.

EVERYTHING!!! We fell in love with this hostel and ended up staying way longer than expected. The people were the nicest most welcoming and helpful, the food was delicious and the rooms and environment was so peaceful and felt so much like home! thank you so much for everything we are going to miss staying there
nothing at all everything was fantastic

The breakfast was a basic self-serve boiled egg, toast and a choice between coffee and tea (the mugs are kinda small, though. I liked that there was no early time limit. The location is in a residential area, surrounded by churches. I also got a great sunset view!
Popati welcomed me well. Nelson, his wife and their two girls are just incredible!
What I didn't really isn't the hostel's fault but heads up to travellers that the cab services will almost always increase the cost of the fare, so make sure you agree before they come to pick you up.

The breakfast was good. Bread, boiled eggs, tea/coffee, and banana. The rooms were clean and comfortable with a spacious common area that has a nice vibe. It’s a bit far from the centre (45 minute walk or you need to get a boda boda or tuk tuk). The staff are really friendly and it’s a good place to meet other travellers.
The pool didn’t look very clean.

The place to be in Arusha, maybe even in Tanzania!
It’s affordable, very welcoming and social (they have a lot of backpackers here so it’s always very fun!)
There is a pool and the rooms are nice clean and have a hot shower. There is decent wi-fi and in the weekend they will take you to a local market! All in all a wonderful place to stay, our best one in our 1 month trip trough Tanzania.
it’s all perfect!

great price, owner of the property was nice.
it was a weird vibe at the hostel, kids running around screaming until 11, people staying up until 3:30am watching football really loud that you couldn’t sleep from the rooms, and I got food poisoning from the dinner they serve in the evening.

The hosts are very welcoming, and the place is really nice. There are plenty of place, some to stay in a calm space or others to gather with people and travellers. The general ambiance is really pleasant. Also, you can find really cheap restaurants near the hostel, and services (in my case, I went to a barber shop where the staff was nice and for almost nothing). I truly recommend it!
A bit far from the city center but transports can be found easily. And depending on the location of your room, it can be a bit noisy the morning due to the rooster of the neighbours, so sometimes it is hard to have a lie-in for light sleepers. But here I'm nitpicking, it won't be a problem for most of people!

The hostel is great, good atmosphere and super sociable
A good coffee machine but no milk available for a few days for lattes

Friendly sociable lodge with good value dinner offer
Pool water wasn't visibly clean; a fair distance from the center (taxi or bajaj required), rather pricy activities offered by (apparently) external agent

The rooms are a good size and clean, the pool is a great size and the bar area is great for socialising and relaxing. The vibe in this hostel was one of the best I’ve experienced. The team are all friendly and helpful! I’ve already booked to stay here again when I’m back in the area next week and everyone I met kept extending their stay as no one wants to leave!

This hostel is really nice to meet new people around the world and have some great time together. The owners and the staff were also so nice and helpful. You got everything what you see on the pictures. They have really nice breakfast and an amazing dinner after a tiring day. Absolutely recommend!

We stayed both before and after our safari. Very friendly hosts, decent wifi in the common areas, and largely clean (though bedsheet cleanliness could be improved). Included breakfast though very basic, is a deal at such a price.
Hosts were also gracious enough to boil water for us in the night for us to have tea (our own) and make our ready to cook meals.
The hostel is quite far out from the town so there is nowhere to go easily for dinner/breakfast. Hostel provides basic paid dinner. We didn't like that option but fortunately were carrying ready made food alternatives with us.
Power was out in the area and when it came back, water heater was switched on late so we couldn't get hot water to shower in the night. But we were able to get it in the morning.
Early breakfast wasn't available at the time we agreed on (as we had to catch a shuttle early). By the time they started getting it ready, our taxi to shuttle stop was already waiting so we had to leave with just bread, butter, and under-boiled eggs. Would be great if agreed upon breakfast time could be followed or expectations set right if it isn't possible.

Friendly family run hostel, great food & good wifi in main area! good place to meet other solo travellers
location is out of walking distance to town but easy to get a boda boda.

The hostel was one of the best I have been to in Tanzania. The rooms are SUPER nice: very quiet, good beds, enough space, clean, mosquito nets & nice warm sheets. The pool is pretty and the WiFI is really good. Also they had a huge tv where they showed nice movies.
For a small amount of money (5000 Tanzanian shilling) you could eat very nice dinner.
However, I want to light out especially the help of Iddi, one of the staff of the hostel. I had problems with my bus ticket and he has taken a lot of effort to fix this for me - since my Swahili is not the best. I want to thank him also on this platform for this outstanding service!
The only (minor) thing is that it’s a bit more out of the city center than other hostels. But you can take Bolt and for 6000Tanzanian shilling (=around 2€) you are within 15-20 min in the city center.
Also, it’s quite nice to be a bit out of the city center- you enjoy more of calmer Tanzanian life.
