This trip was for business. I found this to be the closest motel to the provincial park and figured it would be more comfortable than camping.
The staff were lovely. Friendly and attentive. The food in the restaurant was very good.
The beds were old and not very comfortable. Extremely loud springs and lumpy mattress made for a less than restful sleep. Noise really carries, if you are unlucky enough to have loud guests nearby.
The room and bathroom were clean but appeared rundown and obviously in need of repair.

Room was okay. Beds were comfortable. Didn't make beds or provide fresh towels, etc during our 2 night stay.

Excellent stay! Helpful, friendly staff and many great upgrades have been made to this property

We stay one night, the room was clean, good beds and we went to the restaurant for dinner. No complaints at all.

Nice stay in a great nature area.

It was convenient enough but the staff didn’t have enough help to assist the guests. One manager was serving customers in restaurant and also responsible for checking people in. She was run off her feet so to speak.
One bed had a bad odour so the other was used. Old dirty towels were hanging on bathroom door.
Rooms look nice enough in pictures but are just ok.

Location is close to Bon Echo Provincial Park, but it’s quite difficult to find food close by especially when the hotel restaurant is closed due to short of staff. The room is clean enough, hot water & wifi are working well. They need to put bath mat inside the bathtub so it won’t be too slippery.

Looks nothing like the photo that is posted. Terrible place, old and musty smell.

If you're looking for a high end hotel atmosphere don't come here. If you're looking for a nice, clean, friendly affordable place to stay you'll be pleasantly surprised. Food and service was excellent!

Great neat little Inn with great staff.

It has a nice bar with live music that could no be heard from the rooms.
There was no room service during our three days stay, so we have to make-up our beds. Not big deal to arrange our own beds, however, for the price I paid, I would expect a higher service level.

Super accommodating staff. Great alternative to camping so close to Bon Echo. New beds. Open windows, heat and a/c. Dine in or drive to 41 Fries-41 Scoops :)

Lakeside Inn is a quiet property, not on the lake vut located close to Bon Echo. Rooms are basic but have been recently updated and our room was very clean. Bed was comfortable enough, a/c in room noisy but efficient. Mini fridge and microwave as well in our room was nice feature. Staff are friendly and helpful. Good place for a night or 2!

I had a four night stay and there was absolutely no housekeeping. With the exception of the person that checked me in I did not see one staff member. I used the same towels for the four days. The restaurant, bar and office were locked and the was no visible staff. I would not stay here again.

Staff had a very difficult time checking us in, and were seemingly having the same difficulty with a party checking in after us. We left immediately after entering the room and deciding it wasn’t a place we felt comfortable staying. We had no cell service, and all of the businesses in the area including this establishment seemed to be suffering lack of internet as well. There was no soap in the bathroom; the tv did not seem to be working; there were bugs on the drapes and the floor in the room… true to policy the hotel refused to offer even partial refund - disappointing.

Toilet doesn’t flush water doesn’t work nothing was open around to get food, lamp doesn’t work, beds are uncomfortable. One good thing was the lady who took care of us at the front desk.

Not many choice around the area. Considering the price, it's a fair place to stay. The beds are comfortable, water is pretty hot, but the heater is super loud. The floor is not clean (some mud under the desk). The surrounding is very quiet.

Nice for a night.

We had an overall good stay, the manager was very helpful polite & tried her best to accommodate our crew. The 1 thing we did not like was not knowing the restaurant was not open & would not be during our stay. With the town being small & places closing early it would have been nice to know ahead of time so we could have prepared for the situation.

Weak internet, no dining option, but I guess that is the best you can get in that area

We were visiting family. The Inn was perfect for us. Very clean, and friendly staff.
The restaurant was not open but there was a coffee shop in the gas station across the street that served fresh coffee to go, doughnuts, bagels, etc. We would certainly book again…a short drive to some very nice towns like Madoc and Sterling which are worth a visit.

No electrical outlet near to the desk where I wanted to use my laptop. Mirror behind TV. No outlet close to the TV so that I could use my FireStick.
Bathroom was fine. Staff friendly.

Hotel just changed hands and is now under new management....so things might change. The rooms are a good size, all newly renovated. Unfortunately, the plumbing is less than stellar. Showers have no pressure and hence the stream of water is small/powerless to none existent.
The restaurant is at the moment closed. But there is a a Country Style across the street serving all the necessities.
The staff is extremely friendly, accommodating and helpful.
The firepit in the back of the building is a huge plus....loved it!
And the location is unbeatable, 10min from Bon Echo

There appears to have been a change in management fairly recently and there is still a transition period in training the staff. I had issues checking in as I arrived at 11pm and the buzzer by the front desk did not seem to work, I waited for 10 minutes and contemplated leaving and asking for a refund later, but then I tried the buzzer by the front door and finally someone came out. The room that I was initially assigned was not cleaned so I needed to get another room, but the man working the front desk sorted out the issue. I do hope that they will sort out these issues soon, I still find it a conveniet location given its proximity to the North Frontenac Dark Sky Preserve.

The ladies that run the hotel are super sweet! They go above and beyond to make your stay enjoyable and comfortable., they bust their butts in that hotel, day and night, whether it's cooking, cleaning, or making sure the guests have a great stay. We had an awesome stay, and the food was great. Thanks again ladies...were looking forward to coming back soon! Take care. 😊 Mary and Jeremy

I attend an event that is near this Motel so have stayed there 3x with each stay progressively worse.
This time the staff complained that they have not been paid in 2 months so don't expect the Motel to be open the next time I try to book

Perfect location, only 3 minutes from our family reunion!
It was nice and clean, and staff was above and beyond. Super friendly and kind.
The mattresses could maybe use an update, and the water pressure in our room wasn’t great, but we would definitely stay there again.

They need more staff. They had one lady working and she cleaned, did registration and worked the restaurant by herself and was the Manager. She should have more staff to help.

The service was excellent
